Oh so happy Michelle and our beloved JACKSON is back. Am happy for that walk in closet, a pantry and a sizable laundry room with double wash tub with hangers and shelves would be greater than great. Building our own we don’t want that. We don’t have time and energy to waste. We just want to visit check out things then buy. That house is beautiful. Am anxious to see more.

That's a beautiful house there however I would not want so many stairs. Also, I've seen a few houses around Africa and not one with central heat& air-conditioning and many like this one with no air-conditioning or ceiling fans. Are there any homes or apartments with these or do people install their own?
In that country you don't need air conditioning,.. Try for few days you will see what I'm trying to tell you here. It not a hot place nor that cold
Artificial air conditioning is bad, and in Rwanda they have a good weather which is not hot or cold, you can rarely need air conditioning. That's why you will not see them many times.

Jackson, try adding some creativity and love in the design of new houses. A little bit of constructive criticism is good. I think it’s important to design houses that one would appreciate many years ahead, houses that do not depreciate in looks.
But these houses are contemporary enough for the price, I believe there are more super fancy ones but more expensive. but I don't know what you mean by creativity,. these houses are modern for all standard.
@@nothingmuch44 No they are not contemporary for the price. The amount of money used to build it is equal to a modern and contemporary house. But instead they picked the old fashioned designs with very little taste. Trust what i say, i studied architecture and it is also my field of profession. I know what i am talking about. I feel like whoever built this house wasted a lot of money that could've gone towards an up to standard design.

@@aberwesylvie704 Good question, and thanks for asking, but look around as there are many examples. If anyone wants my consultation with an intention to improve their design into a modern one that may also incorporates environmental, economical, social and geographical aspects, feel free to get in touch. In these times where Africa may seem to be going through a renaissance as in rapid economic development, i think its important that we build architecture that does not depreciate in value and aesthetics/looks, or that stands the test of time. It adds major value to the country and the continent as a whole. Designing good architecture that doesn't depreciate is also one of the elements of sustainability. Thanks for reading
