I love the way you treat your kids. You allow them to participate in every aspect of farm life because you know they are capable. You expect them to be capable and they know you are there for them and will back them up. They see their work turn into completed projects that are useful and necessary. They are secure in the knowledge that they are important and to the farm and in your lives. Kudos. Their eagerness to be involved from the smallest to the biggest is a joy to watch.
Oh yay! My number 1 favorite family on the tubes. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Your children are growing by leaps and bounds like my grandchildren. What an amazing beautiful family unity you have. God bless you all!
Buy Oster shell for your hens so they can stop pecking each other feather. These are game rooster taking care of them a little bit more different. I also raise some with my thai roosters, shamos and Saigon roosters.
Soooo happy to have a "full-size" family project video. Love your farm and no-nonsense approach to farming. Great to save the "nonsense" for your family fun.
Couple of things, they speak Portuguese in Brazil, not Spanish. And those square roosting bars are really bad for the chickens feet. Would be much better if you could add in some natural branches for roosting.
Came to the comments to see if anyone noticed the language goof 😂🤣😂🤣and of course it’s already been noted. Thanks to the chat for always pulling thru. Pointing out verbal typos boosts engagement which helps the channel so I hope they don’t worry about it too much 🤓
Watching this with my wife - we enjoy how the whole family is involved and making memories. Can imagine my wife, myself, and our future family doing the same when we move to our homestead. - Dakota & Angela
The new coop looks like good, but it might need some adjustments for them before cold weather hits. I'm glad the peacocks can get outside, look around and get into the fresh air. They have plenty of room in their coop/shed. It's nice that Cook Unity can be heated in the oven and doesn't require special equipment. The meals looked delicious.
Hello, Awesome new coop. Beautiful animals. I love that you let the 2 littlest also help. Love your beautiful family. Bella is so cute. God Bless 🙏 💖💙 🇺🇸
Looking at the thumb nail I’m like wow the kids are so grown. It’s like I basically grew up with them on the farm just from watching the videos. You guys have really come so far. Iam so happy for you. I hope to continue to watch your amazing content as long as you able to share. I may not been there for every video but I try my best to follow along the way ❤❤❤ I wish I remember my first video I watched. Think I started when cashew was just a baby. I love the emus lol but any keep up the good work.
Those chickens sound like dinosaurs when they scream. Really interesting to hear. Now I understand how Hollywood came up with their sounds for Jurassic Park. 🤣
I’m a big fan of White House on the hill, you guys have inspired me to have a farm when I grow up! Seriously! I want my farm to be just like your farm! I love watching your videos, also because I’m a big fan of birds, I would love to hatch some quails and possibly even chickens and ducks, when I grow up I also want to be an Avrian vet!, (a bird vet) I can’t wait to see the next vid!
I love the new coop and if your worried about security for the nest box I would drill 2 holes on the sides where the lips overlap and put a pin or a nail something with a head and bent slightly so when there in the holes and it gets pushed up the pin stops it or something like that.
My goodness this is not chicken related or bird related. I cannot get over how fast the kids have grown, and Bella is the spitting image of her brothers. There is no way can the boys say that that’s not their sister those children all have got the same facial features beautiful shiny faces.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, that coop looks pretty cool. Not as grandiose as the ayam cemanis' coop, but it's spacious enough for big chickens. I guess there are quite inconvenience in the design of the nesting box.. like why would there be a need to cut through the tarp and the hardwire cloth for the nesting box... The roosting bars made out of metal would be a little concerning when winter comes Love to see your kids helping on building the coops.
You mention predators and I know you've lost animals to them so I'm wondering why you don't have livestock guardian dogs like other farms? You have Joey the Australian Shephard but her breed is more for herding than protecting. I also follow Raventree Ranch and their LGDs have a 100% success rate for keeping livestock safe. Would something like that work for you?
Livestock guardians come with their own risks, especially with birds. No dog breed was ever bred to protect poultry. None. In rural eastern European and Asian historical use of LGDs, this was a well-known fact that they would occasionally snatch unsecured chickens. They would even allow chickens to hatch extra eggs just to account for it. Even a good dog that has never attacked a bird could have their brain go from play to prey very quickly. LGDs also just don't work for specific properties. Too small a property your lgd is going to roam off your property and potentially become a risk to neighbors dogs/animals, risk to themselves (hit by cars, shot, stolen), or at risk of being overpowered by predators (5 coyotes vs 1 dog). Too large a property, and you need several pairs of lgd that have their own adequate space and responsibilities and schedules. Training an lgd is also not for everyone and is the biggest mistake new to lgd people make. They think they can just throw a 12 week old lgd puppy outside, and it will know what to do. It won't. It may have instincts to act a specific way, but without an older lgd or its owner to teach it its job, it's just another puppy. Training lgds is not easy, especially the first 2 years. Most people want a drop and forget solution and a domestic predator species that requires at least 2 yrs of training, constant maintenance, food, water, tons of grooming, adequate bonding to the herd they are protecting, and some level of socialization with other lgds or people.
This is a very fun segment! Seeing the boys along with Rebecca jump in and do thier parts, was a joy. By the time they are in thier late teen's, they will be very well familiar with using thier hands and tools with confidence. A great help to you Jake and Rebecca too! The chickens look really happy and so do the Mandarin's. It's a good thing you bought a large property, it gives you lots of room to do whatever you need. Cross the Bresse chicken with the Indio, see if you get a larger meat chicken that does produce good eggs?😁
You’ll love having clean eggs with the new nesting box! Metal should help with mites etc too they don’t harbour them like other coop materials can. Chicken corner is looking great!
I love how the kids help. When they grow up, they'll already know how to do stuff that I def don't know how to. They'll have so many skills to help their own families build or farm or whatever they decide to do. They are never too young to learn and help out. To them, it's grand fun!
A different TH-camr I watch actually bought the same chicken tractor! I found that kind of funny 😂 It looks like a really good coop to keep animals safe in.
Really like the coop! Loads of space and easy to move. Could the laybox possibly be to narrow in the front for these tall ladies? But then again looks like they've found their way. 🎉 Look forward to the update and seeing how they get on. Thanks for sharing
Hi...so maybe those (extra) screws (parts) u had, are for the coop area where u put the coop part wrong (upside down) maybe that belongs to were it latches it (close)...so no predators will come threw...
coop is nice but not too sure about those roosting bars. they should be rounded and possibly larger so the chickens can wrap their feet around them comfortably. also those would freeze in the winter so bad for their feet as well.
Overall, the coop looks like pretty sturdy. I'm not a fan of the short door and knowing my chickens, they would be roosting on the nest boxes since its higher than the roosting bar.
just looked on the happyfarm store and it looks like they have a water tank for the coop you guys put together in this video. maybe a good idea to buy and add it on?
I just ordered two dozen hatching quail, eggs, and all the equipment to take care of them. But I have no idea what I'm doing. Getting a lot of my information from this channel. And AI. 😂
not gonna lie you guys should definetly try and breed pheasants with chickens. speaking of ringnecks and regular hens the outcome is usually really pretty

🇦🇺I would want wire on the roof, under the tarp. Extra insurance. If you didn’t want to move the coop, I would build something under the sides of the coop to raise it all up. That way the birds have more room to fly and you don’t have to squat down.

Biggest fan of you!
Try to never dip the chickens head under water you could get water on their lungs
Your big chickens are Indio Gigante. It is correctly pronounced en di o ji gan tay. And is the new coop supposed to have automatic egg rollout?
Y’all need to make more videos about emus
Make the perches wooden, like natural, not metal, it'll get warm/cold in weather and it can give bumble foot
Love the new coop but come winter you might need to wrap the roosting with rope otherwise the chicken's would stick to the cold metal 😮
I would attach flat wooden boards on top of them. a flat roost prevents pressure points which in turn prevents bumblefoot
I love the way you treat your kids. You allow them to participate in every aspect of farm life because you know they are capable. Alto's a cool name! Brazilians speak Portuguese though, not Spanish. Thankfully, the Portuguese word for tall is... Also alto!
That’s a cool fact
Alto is also tall in Spanish
Definitely wrap the metal for winter. Our neighbors chickens lost some toes when they froze to it.

Hello White House family 🥰
I grew up with a pear tree in the 80s, loved having them to snack on while playing outside all day ❤️
Did anyone else hear that interestingly weird whisper at 11:33 gave me the goosebumps
Yes! I was trying to figure out what it said, but part of me is a little scared to know.
@@rubeusswagrid6039 I kept replaying it but I couldn’t make it out good thing I watched this in the day 😂
I heard too. It kinda sounded like "I am back" or something. that was creepy 😶
Went back because I didn't an now did. Was super creepy 😱🥴🥴
You have a wonderful family! Little Bella is just adorable. Her little red sauce face was so cute!

Wow! Up to over a million subs! Congrats on that!
That was so nice of that company to send you a coop. Wow Happy Farmer Store Thank You they really needed that.
Your children are so very fortunate to be reared on this wonderful farm!
The “I am bad” at 11:36. Does anyone else hear it? In the cicadas.

They can be just as dirty on those nesting mats, since the eggs aren't going to be rolling down into the compartment.

Yep, they're using it now, the red flags were just scaring them off, but now they know to go in there

Wood ducks would be a great addition to the aviary!
- Great video. Those massive chickens are gorgeous, especially the rooster 🐓!. Also, the ducks are super cute as well.

Jake: Bella, what's your favorite part of the coop?
Bella: Dadda 😂

Wow, I remember when you got the tallest chickens.
a large bungee cord should hold that flap in place, preventing any predator from entering the nesting boxes.

I was thinking the metal bars may be too cold to roost on in the winter. Some kind of insulating covering may make them more comfortable.

Thanks so much!!
Such a nice family helping video! We love this here! Xoxo

Cool coop I just got olive eggs from my olive eggers but I just got a bantam coop
"We can go in there and trap our baby"💀 bro's a menace
If I had to guess dipping the chickens in water will make there body temperatures cool down so they’ll stop setting on eggs
Hey!!! Those tall chickens are called Thai game birds, very cool that you have these birds.
Your bottom flap on the nest box is designed to be flipped around so it fits nicer, hope this helps!!
I’ll try it
Misssed your videos.
When I last saw your video your third child was younger than your fourth kid now.And you were still working on your aviary pillars
That is a really nice coop
Glad you agree 😊
Never seen a coop like that very nice I hope it works out 😊
The water trick for broody hens mostly works by lowering the temperature of the hen.
Makes sense
I would really love to have some of those tall chickens for our little farm are great
We need more pigeons update pls
Great video. Love chickens.
🇦🇺I would want wire on the roof, under the tarp. Extra insurance. If you didn’t want to move the coop, I would build something under the sides of the coop to raise it all up. That way the birds have more room to fly and you don’t have to squat down.
Egg eating snakes and small predators could sneak under that way. They often move coops so they have fresh grass under them.
"Please provide an update on the sick rooster from the tallest breed."
Neat build on the coop!
Did I miss the completed aviary? That thing is EPIC.
Next week we'll have another update
Heyy u definitely need to change that rooster buddy! Replace it with a call one which keeps the ladies happy
The metal roosting bars may be a problem in the winter since it gets so cold there.
