  • This tool has been good to me. I have upgraded and would like to give it to someone who is new and coming up in the field either as a DIY or Independent. Or even dealership tech. I want this person to get started the right way and use the tool. Take pride in what you do.

    Gotta say again this is awesome of you. I'm a Ford Sr. Master and fairly new to your channel. It's so great to see people out there like you willing to help out new techs. I've been in automotive for 18 yrs now, only 6 with Ford, and I dont know how many tools I've personally given away as I have upgraded through the years. When I first started out, my mentors gave me so many tools, and it's so awesome to see the tradition continuing.

    • @BeardedFordTech
      @BeardedFordTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I was master at the dealer. Just shy of senior master. My mentors helped me as well. So why not help someone else who is trying. It doesn't have to be cut throat. If everyone would just help everyone things would be great. I know masters and senior masters who won't help. And I'm like well someone taught you. Why not teach someone else. Or maybe that someone else can teach you something too. Goes both ways.

      This one is used. But I took care of it. Paid some good money for it and it wouldn't allow me to do my job if it was broken or not taken care of. But I figured since I Upgraded and have the other ford software then an up and coming tech or a mobile guy can use it to help ease their job a little. Sucks when you need an expensive tool and can't get one. Most of those other techs don't really care. Me ford boss rainman A-Rod. We do care and we want to see people succeed

    That's a great gesture on your part Anthony. That will save a young tech who is starting out a few bucks. From what I have seen from tool truck flyers posted on TH-cam the tool truck prices have increased significantly. Most of my diagnostic tools were purchased from my Matco dealer. Matco at that time was less expensive than Snap On. This was in the days prior to OBD1 so all you needed for electrical diagnostics were a multimeter, test light and wiring diagrams.

      @@BeardedFordTech so if bank 1 ltft is like+ 10 percent and bank 2 is 6 to 8 + do I have a potential vacuum leak or something else

      @BeardedFordTech  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@coreybabcock2023 no. Not really. Normal readings for fuel trim should be between +10% and -10%. If bank one goes any higher into the positive then it's running lean. Could be a vacuum leak. Could be an exhaust leak. Could be the intake tubing from air filter isn't sealed after the mass air flow sensor.
