I bought that exact scan tool last year, I absolutely love it! From northeast NC, we have a little bit of everything here to work on, great all around tool. Love the optional subscription, and honestly even without purchasing subscription the general functions are awesome. Thanks for the video!!!

This scanner is a best buy. It's worth the money, allows me to do electric parking brakes, resets, etc.
I've had the MaxFlexA for awhile now and couldn't be happier with it, saved me from having to take to the dealership quite a few times & has definitely paid for itself! Awesome to be able to pay to unlock only the software you need, much rather spend $22 than $1500+ for full unlock

I don't know about software wise but I purchased a scan tool from my Mac dealer. A Launch Millennium Master. It's the same exact case as that. I even made the same comment about how it feels like it's holding a steering wheel. Seems to be more or less about equal/same exact thing just with different branding and software (nothing wrong with that by the way). I love my scan tool though. Perfect for the DIY drive way person who can do more than brakes but doesn't need a $5K snap on. Only spent about $500 on mine and just in forcing regens alone it's paid for itself.

I probably won’t touch another matco scanner. I bought a max me for 1500 from my rep like less than two years ago then they dropped all coverage on them and basically bricked it. Don’t feel like going through that again
Literally happened to me. I couldn't use it and is now a "legacy scanner" which they are no longer making the software for
Thank GOOGLE for that BS. I spoke with my Rep and he told me Matco was really choked with them because of how many maxme and other scanners we’re using there android firmware. They stopped supporting it so matco wasn’t to blame. GOOGLE IS..
I had this scanner it was great for the price I found a few times it had the option to do curtain things but it wouldn’t ever actually program or reset what I was trying to do ended up having to use someone else’s scanner I found I needed it connected to very good internet or it was super slow I have not used the new updated version would recommend for the price especially for young/beginner techs

I found that you can’t beat Ford IDS/FDRS and Cummins insight…. But I’m sure something like this would be all that any line tech needs I had a Maximus at Vallencourt then we got a Zeus and the Maximus was my go to scanner for just about everything but a scope

I like the corded scan tools better than Bluetooth because sometimes it takes forever to connect.
Your using the wrong brand if you can't connect..never had any issues with the last three aultels I've owned

Haven't bought a tool truck tools in months, I don't have all the tools but I have over $100k in tools mainly from snap on. Bought a few from Matco, Cornwell, and Mac Tools throughout the years, but now a days have so many tools they just sit either at my extra tool box at the shop or the other two snap on tool boxes at the house. Some are new and never used just sits there look pretty. My question is, when stuff do break, I have noticed besides snap on tools, trying to get warranty if any is hard to come by from the other tool truck brand. It's not that they don't come over to the location anymore, none of them come by. I would need to drive to my previous snap on guy's location if I needed something warranty out or if I decide to buy a tool or tool box/cart. I'm just curious how these tool brand trucks are holding up, Been in the repair business as Technician for well over 20 years but damn, seems like tool brand trucks are going away.... I am still wrenching for a mom and pop shop. All the Cornwell, Matco, Mac tools guys back in the days are all gone, and you just don't see them trucks anymore... just crazy to invest in tools and not being able to warranty them out. I would need to have friends from another town warranty it out for me through their tool brand truck guys. They would ask me the same for their broken tools warranty or needs repairing from snap on so we'll switch between one another....

It’s pretty sad that snap on hasn’t sent someone on your route like you won’t make them the most money out of anyone but I guess they swear their such big shots so they don’t care but I would definitely send someone to you very quick you don’t only promote but you also spend a lot of money on tools 😢

Yup. I just bought the launch CRP123X. Came with 7 reset functions when it only promised 3. Way better deal.
The MaxliteA has the same software as bigger Matco scanners.

I bought one used. That someone else bought used. Cant unlock all features because I don't have the registration code from when you first buy it. I contacted a matco rep from my region and he claimed that he would have to track down the tool truck via the serial number and confirm that there was no debt owed on it and of course they never received a response.blows my mind.matco actually turning down my $ that im trying to give them for subscriptions. Like what? Anyone know of any other way to get me fully functional?? please!
That's the reason I would never buy a scan tool used, its pretty much a brick without the original code and if money is owed they can take it
Do you have to purchase Matco subscription to unlock or can you just purchase the monthly oem subscriptions as needed?

When you say Ford or Chevrolet, do you mean all of their product line or just that particular brand?
If it had a cord badge it work. If it had Chevy it will work but for instance if you buy Toyota it won’t work on the Lexus even tho they are both owned by the same company
First let me start by saying I have no experience with scanners or diagnostic tools whatsoever. But I love tools and working on things. I am also not a mechanic but work on everything I own on my own as well as friends and family’s when need be. So this runs between $800-$900? And when he first started it up and said you had to log in and put the shop information in, is that mandatory? Asking because I’m not a “professional” mechanic, I work in manufacturing But would like to have a scan tool of my own to learn and run diagnostics on my personal vehicles. Also, if you pay one month for the Chevrolet data and then don’t pay for 11 months after that do you still have what you purchased and it just doesn’t update or are you locked out of it once your one month is up? Thanks for any input. Again just trying to learn what all is required when first purchasing one of these and setting it up……..also I agree 100% about the masks!😂😂
You will probably have the generic obdII functions but not vehicle specific stuff

The Dongle is not cheap to replace.My dad lost one for an autel of his,was about $250.00.Only one you do not need a scan tool to program keys is GM.Real simple to program these

My dealer was showing this to me this week. He goes it around $500 so we look it up and it’s around $850 now. I’m really interested in it because it’s a good idea for someone that doesn’t need to drop $8000 on a scan tool but still wants a good scanner. Could you ask Michael to do a little demo Maximus android code reader pro like he did with this one? Part is mdmaxcrproa
