omg that D natural in the left hand at :35 is so wrong and yet it's still a flawless and magical performance. kind of comforting to hear that mistake, i don't think i've ever heard her make such an obvious one before lol. what's amazing is she doesn't even flinch from it

Classical musicians are diverse and sometimes even beautiful people. Those that knock her appearance need to get out more. I have to go to a classical piano recital to see bored little girls wearing foolishly conservative frocks manufactured in some polygamist compound. They look miserable and proficiently hit the keys like underpaid steno pool workers. putting ppl off with your snob subculture is starving the artists by pushing future fans and students toward more accessible media.

The most refreshing thing is her extraordinary talent. The knockers compare her to Aggerich and so forth, pianists with an eternity more time to have finetunned their skills. For the record Martha said she found Yuja renditions of Piano concertos outstanding. The fact that she is a very attractive Lady is just a bonus and she is not afraid to wear modern dress, nothing you would not find at the classy restaurant in the world. She is all Class this lady and screw the stuffed shirts who dont lke it

Superb musicality! Nuance of line so clear and classic posture. I thought for a long time that only Russian pianists could play Scriabine, but I was wrong. Nationality insignificant when musicality is present!

Also, the prelude Op.11, No.12 is one of my favorites that I play all the time. She totally brings a gorgeous atmosphere to it. I'll have to work on it some more now. Man, LOVE Op.32 as well. Played both pieces of that for a recital in college back in the day.

I concede that Khatia can divide opinion, I personally find her a fascinating and highly individual performer. She is undoubtedly a risk taker and sometimes this daredevilry does'nt come off, incidentally such past piano icons as Rubinstein and Horowitz played with the same abandon when they were burgeoning young performers. Khatia definitely has that sort charisma which is why she plays to capacity audiences worldwide.
Whatever ones opinion, she is never boring.

Bof... ça va quand meme bien, dans l'ensemble ...!

She has a very convincing way with the illusive sound world of Scriabin. This young lady along with Khatia Buniatishvili and Ingrid Fliter are three of the most exciting young female pianists before the public today.

Well you were extremely rude were you not. I gave back what you gave lol. You insulted my ancestry, so you copped the dopey Yank. I think there are time Ms Wang comes on the "edge" with her dress BUT an long way from a "Hooker" I think, that is a very nasty thing to say. She is "not my lady" but having said that mine is Chinese and as pretty :). That does not colour my view at all on pianianism, Bang Bang for example is atrocious. Check out Tiffany Poon and her recital of Claire Delune

The opener, Op 11, No 11, sounds deceptively easy and straightforward, especially under Yuja's hands. Not so. For most normal humans the left hand is an @ss kicker -- not technically, but structure-wise. Those broken arpeggiated chords on the first page are giving me fits. I really like the Poem, Op 32, No1. I play it often.

    ♦️♦️Yuja Wang Plays Scriabin♦️♦️
    🔹Verbier Festival 2010🔹
    Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915)

    *Op. 13 No. 6 (1895)*

    Yuja Wang, piano✨
    *Verbier Festival*
    *Salle des Combins*
    *Verbier, Switzerland 🇨🇭 July 20, 2010*
_Op. 8 No. 9 in G-Sharp Minor is mislabeled ‘Prélude’ in the video. It is an Étude._

    00:18 - Scriabin Prelude: Op 11 No. 11
    1:58 - Scriabin Prelude: Op 13 No. 6
    3:15 - Scriabin Prelude: Op 11 No. 12
    5:05 - Scriabin Etude: Op 8 No. 9
    9:40 - Scriabin Poem: Op 32 No. 1
Just making it easier for people to listen to what they want. The video's title is a bit misleading as there's more than just Op 11 No. 11 and the video itself labels Op 8 No. 9 to be a Prelude instead of an Etude but that's due to the editor's negligence.
Despite these nuisances, thanks for even uploading this.
