- The late model bottom radiator hoses that Ford installed in their vehicles is tricky to remove unless you know how it's put together. This video shows the secrets of removing the factory Ford hose.

It's not just twisting.
You have to line that white line on the hose with where the tab was at.
Then pry it off.
I just did this job. I grabbed the reciprocal saw and cut the the damm hose off.
There's no more shade tree mechanics
Do u have a part number for those radiator o-rings ? I’m having the worst luck finding them for my 2001 expedition
You may be able to get them from Ford directly. If not, places like McFaddendale Industrial Hardware (in California) would have them. I recently purchased some larger o-rings like this from those guys. The radiator came with the two o-rings when I bought it, so if you've purchased a new radiator, it should have those already.
dang does anyone know how to remove a radiator on a 03 ford expedition 5.4 engine
I just cut the hose on the. Truck all around it with a utility knife next to that black oval shape seal. Next. Knock every. Thing. Off the other radiator. Just the pipe wiil show put in radiator. The hose slips on about an inch. Then clamp
This is the second video I watched where I had to get the radiator hose off. Without filming
i have 04 expedition, unsure if its set up like this or not, if it is, i'm gonna do away with that stupid design and go back on with a regular hose clamp, hopefully i won't have to deal with it no time soon
That's likely a wise move given the pain that it is to fix the current design. You'd be able to do a roadside fix at that point.
It sounds like you don't know how to take off the hose, but it does look like a real pain i* t** a**What's wrong with a hose clamp so it's on every other vehicle
Definitely not the proper way to remove that hose. Clearly not enough knowledge of this vehicle. Idk what ford tool he is referring too it's a 45 degree turn of the hose and it comes rite off
Can I buy a rad and different hose that doesn't have this bs.? And, where to find it? This is not one of fords better ideas.
