Definitely! For more of a “rock” sound try While Love Died from side project Northward, for a “pop” sound her solo album is pure gold, and there are a couple videos of her doing straight up opera. One of the most versatile vocalists in the world imo.
I would definitely watch a full reaction to the concert. As far as live or official videos, there are a few good official videos, but honestly they are mostly a band to watch live.

I think every Nightwish journey should include the music video for Noise, as well as the lyric video for Shoemaker, both from their latest album, Human Nature. They have other pretty good music videos, but for me (and many others), those two stand out. Aside from that, yeah, live is the way to go for this band. They are just crazy good live, especially Floor, who is great in the studio, but only gets her superpowers when performing live.

You'll find Marko can do from ROCK to Opera to Growling to folk singing. Live for Nightwish is always better but not all songs make it to live. Master Passion Greed is one of them examples which only Marko sings.
I think the music and lyric videos they did for their last album, Human Nature, are all fascinating. It's definitely Nightwish but has a different coloring to it. All of the songs are thought provoking - they range from rousing to hauntingly beautiful. The last song, Endlessness, features Marko and unfortunately will never be performed live.

Nightwish is a band best served live, with one not so tiny exception! Do yourself a service and check out their music video for "Noise". It is from their newest album, so you'll get a tiny glimpse of how they've grown. And don't misunderstand me, they sound just as fenomenal live as in the video, but the visuals really punch the message of the song home. ;)

The dream like remissness of the dying composer behind the concept of the album this tour was supporting certainly has some very interesting video out of the movie that supported it. In general their videos will add a certain depth to the meaning behind the music. I wouldn't call them better or worse just a different experience.

I think Tuomas struggles with music videos as he doesn't like to dictate to people what the songs mean, he prefers that the interpretation belong to the listener! and generally the music videos are for the more "commercial sounding" songs. The problem with saying "this is my favorite Nightwish song so far" is that you end up saying it with every new song you hear. I strongly recommend that you stay with live performances (especially from 2013 onward with Floor). Some spectacular shows after Wacken are Wembley (2015), Tampere (2015), Buenos Aires (2018), and Hellfeat (2022).

Imaginaerum was written by Tuomas for Annette to sing. Being written for her style and voice the Annette album Ghost River was excellent. But Nightwish is nothing if not a live band and Floor the epitome of a charismatic performer. Plus Marko, what a voice to compliment Floor. End result: another track making this concert one of the greatest of all time. And you too have fallen into the Nightwish trap. The track you have just heard is your favourite.

Twists and turns. Unexpected changes and textures. That is Nightwish my friend. They don't do just metal. They do powerful great melodic music. We all love the live energy and charisma of the band. It also is the only way to experience Floor singing these older songs.

I think Tuomas struggles with music videos as he doesn't like to dictate to people what the songs mean, he prefers that the interpretation belong to the listener! and generally the music videos are for the more "commercial sounding" songs. Three that I like with Floor are:

Wacken is in Germany so it's pronounced VAW-ken
The problem with saying "this is my favorite Nightwish song so far" is that you end up saying it with every new song you hear. I strongly recommend that you stay with live performances (especially from 2013 onward with Floor). Some spectacular shows after Wacken are Wembley (2015), Tampere (2015), Buenos Aires (2018), and Hellfeat (2022).

If you like Floor growling listen to Yours is an empty hope 😁 If you want to hear something completely different watch I want my tears back live in Buenos Aires 2018 😁 Otherwise every single song is brilliant and worth a listen.
Marko is the lead vocalist on While your lips are still red and The Islander, again great songs and best watched live. Wembley arena is a good choice.

imho "Noise" is a great video that really adds to the track.
Imaginaerum was written by Tuomas for Annette to sing. Being written for her style and voice the Annette album Ghost River was excellent. But Nightwish is nothing if not a live band and Floor the epitome of a charismatic performer. Plus Marko, what a voice to compliment Floor. End result: another track making this concert one of the greatest of all time. And you too have fallen into the Nightwish trap. The track you have just heard is your favourite.

Nightwish is really better to watch live - it’s mainly because of the energy (between band and crowd) and stage presence…
And remember that the lead singers differ between studio and live version…

Hello sir, one of my favorites too....but I have a lot of them :D This is a North European spooky fairytale about a female ghost lures the children to the river in the night, with her beautiful voice "do come across" Marco sounds evil, but he is actually the good guy, warning the children not to cross the river. ;) So Floor had the naughty part in this song ;)
