Something about him talking in competitive terms like 85% of the time is very reassuring if that makes sense. He could speak in competitive terms making me run off a cliff for murder and I’d trust him all the way down

I love the visuals of the team building section, super entertaining, easy to follow and has all the relevant info on screen for those who want more details!

@@richsteel1957 my g she got over that over like 3-4 years ago now, she makes a lot of public appearances in alpharads videos and even some other content creators including wolfe's tournament. So it is still possible

It's very nice seeing the progression of Jaiden's knowledge and confidence grow as the video goes on. The fact she got into such a groove shows how good she is and how well Wolfe can coach.
Love how that throughout the battles, you give out useful tips for your audience too (especially 12:15 imo which I didn't know about until now). Easy subscribe for that.

7:42 i didnt know that. sometimes i didnt tera because i realized that tera boost is 1.25 and STAB is 1.5, i thought tera removed the original type STAB. Thanks for that info

Yeah, last time it was big was gen 5 when it was introduced. And fairy types didn't exist
Fairy is the only thing that hold hydreigon's back all this time
It's my favourite psudo Pokémon so I'm glad it's good again

I’m gonna try this out with Toedscruel or Amoonguss instead of Toedscool and see how it goes. I’ve been trying to make a good team with my favorites for a while and this seem like what I’m looking for
Update: I’ve lost 80% of my games. Probably because every team has paradox Pokémon on them

I’m completely new to VGC and just started a literal week ago and the tips that Wolfey puts in some bits is super helpful
I've been trying to get into competitive, Sadily this also meant giving up my long lived ace of gardevoir, which is still painful to me because gardevoir is an all time beloved pokemon of mine. It hasn't subtracted from my attempts at comp, but has definately slowed down my prep because I like spending time with my gardevoir in game.
Let's take a second to appreciate how helpful and free minded wolfey is! He gave a lot of his time for her and even laddered her up where she wanted to be! you are super great Wolfey ✨
This is a great video for vicarious learning. As someone who struggles with how to pick my mons during team preview, I appreciate Wolfe explaining how to do it game by game to Jaiden

18:39 I learned another new thing from this lol. I had no idea they changed hail to snow in the new gen; I've been only playing on pokemon showdown recently, so I've had to deal with hail still.
That trick with the choice scarf that Grimmsnarl made reminded me of a battle on showdown where an opposing support mon trick swapped a poison orb for my assault vest and then only had struggle because it didn’t have attacking moves, and it confused the opponent so much lol.
I love these videos not only do they make great content but it's also great teaching moments for people that want to start competitive. Amazing way to kill two birds with one stone

Man Wolfy is the youtuber coach at this point. I just saw the video of RTgame being coached by him. Also, the video editing is incredible as the move and item effects being displayed on screen is super helpful to those who don't know pokemon that well.

Hey wolfe. I’d love to see a “how to beat X” series! Outlining strategies to beat popular threats in the meta. You could do full length videos on beating schemes like trick room, screens, redirection, etc. or Shorts on specific Pokémon, Garganacl. I think it would generate a lot of views from new and veteran players alike!

If it was me, I'd have gone tera fire Annihilape with leftovers. Bulk up, rage fist, drain punch protect. max sp. def investment and some bulky stats and slight investment in attack. worked super well for a long time!
