  • Feeling reinvigorated after a day off! Just looking at op.10 no.4 and no.1, then a bit of memorising of no.6 and a read through of a line of no.7.

      Not on this series yet, I half learnt it about a year ago, but only pretty superficially. It’s no.12 so when I get a bit further on I’ll start it again, only coming up to no.7 now!

    Getting there. Imo if you're playing the piece all the way through you're wasting valuable time playing stuff you already have under your fingers. The way I do it. Find your problem areas write down which bars they are and play each problem section at least 100 times each. Only then until you can play it perfectly a few times in a row or near perfect do I bump up the tempo. Just how I do it tho. Very difficult music. Coming along tho

      Good tips, I’ve probably swung too far the other direction; I used to practice things almost exclusively piecemeal and then struggled to consistently perform them because I never practiced consistently connecting and contextualising those difficult bars, but I think you’re right. I probably need to let go of that fear a bit.
