I just traded a 2018 Rav4 with 41k miles for a 2022 Nissan Versa with 778 miles straight up...why? First was gas mileage. The Rav4 got 18.9 mpg on start up & never got over 25.6 mpg even on the highway. The Versa gets 35.2 mpg on start up & 40 on the highway. Also, the Rav4's cargo area is a joke. I had a 2007 Rav4 that hauled a 6 foot long buffet. The newer Rav4's won't hold much & you're definetely not hauling any buffets. Tech wise the Versa was an upgrade. The only thing the Rav4 has that the Versa doesn't is AWD & a center console. How often do you really need AWD? In 5 years i never activated it. I was able to order a center console for the Versa from a s1te that starts with A so that takes care of that.. I know the knock on the Versa is the CVT transmission, but if you don't drive like a maniac & keep the trans maintenanced you'll be fine. Let me say i owned 2 Rav4's & those transmissions didn't feel like the greatest either! All in all i feel like i got a good deal. Let me know how you feel about this?
@@AOMVideoProductions Acouple of days now & i love it. Normal acceleration isn't too bad, but if you're pulling out & a car comes around the curve & you have to hurry...yeah, don't expect much. Otherwise, it's great & hey, 40 mpg!!
@@dr.awkward9075 to be expected with the 1.6L haha, based on how I would be using the car(mostly highway) there are a few areas that have me a bit concerned when merging onto the highway so I'll definitely need to test drive to know for sure
No! Versa is not CHEAP. Cheap means poor quality. It's inexpensive, but not "cheap". It's also NOT the least expensive vehicle sold in America. The least expensive vehicle sold in America is the Mitsubishi Mirage, which is another great car.
My old rooms had a 2015 Versa and ran it out of town, to work and everything, for years. Keeps on rolling along, with the grace from the Lord above.

@@AOMVideoProductions Merging should be OK. If not try an Elantra. The SR has a much better sound system along with the other added features.
Get the manual if yiu are nervouse about merging, you can downshift and rev up all you want yourself@AOMVideoProductions

Mirage is discontinued in the US making the Versa the cheapest new car.
@@seizethespeed Mirage and Versa both have 2024 models in the USA. Both are discontinued for the 2025 model year. So you are WRONG!
I get 43 hwy or more, 32 city on my 2023 S cvt.
Kool. You think this is a good safe car for ride share such as Lyft/Uber
it’s a pretty good car for ride share. Good on gas, cheap to maintain
ENTERPRISE CAR
Versa just sucks. At least those cars are cheaper this car just sucks.
I disagree, for the money I don’t think there are much better new cars on the market than the versa! The mirage is just a death trap in comparison!
go to you know where mf
This is a 2022 Nissan Versa not a 2023, at least here in the US.
