Cattle farming contributes more to carbon emissions than the entire planetary transportation sector (yes, that means cars, buses, jets, ships, and trains COMBINED). Animal welfare issues aside, that should be reason enough for any reasonably well educated person to eliminate or at least cut back on beef and dairy. Unfortunately not that many people are well informed on this issued, even in America.

I love animals so much that's why i became vegan. The video shows temporary holding pens and portrays them as permanent. These calves are held here temporarily before being moved, they are not killed. What good to a dairy farmer is a dead calf?

There is nothing wrong with this "cycle". Let's be realistic and practical: Female c cows are for milk and, later, meat. The male calves are for meat-- STOP calling them "byproducts" and/or "waste" because they are being sold for meat in the first place so nothing goes to waste. It's the other dairy farms that literally just shoot the male calves is what's really pointless and cruel-- the calves could've been used elsewhere but the farmers are either stupid or lazy to see the market value for the male calves.
Sad. I appreciate more the milk I drink and the meat I eat knowing the horrific conditions these cows go through. Bless them, they never knew anything.
