They like to interact with other animals and especially those they live around. They too suffer emotional and physical pain like humans do. But we are just forced to believe that they're food and nothing else. They are caged, killed and cooked just like they're some non living thing who don't understand emotion or feel pain.

I completely agree. I've heard so many horror stories about veal production but whenever I've actually done the research - it seems like veal calves are treated much better then the animals bred for slaughter in larger "factory farm" systems. I believe this is in part because veal is seen as a "specialty" or "gourmet" meat with a higher price point(at least, that seems to be the case here in the USA). Anytime I've had veal, I've enjoyed it. I just wish it was easier to find where I live & more affordable.

Have you ever tried killing an animal yourself? The thing is that you will lose any battle with e.g. a cow because they will give you one big kick if you ever tried to touch them. Had veal not to long ago, and I liked it, very good. However though I will not buy it because none of my local grocery stores carry veal, only in restaurants and it's only on a few that offer it on the menu
In the US, they are seasonal. They don't have dedicated farms for veal. In the US, veal comes from dairy farms. They only want female cows for obvious reasons .

This immediate and permanent separation has caused immense distress for both calf and mother, probably in the same way it would if a human mother was separated from her human baby. Those who eat veal, I wonder if you would be prepared to take the calf from its mother right at the beginning of this process rather than pick up your already processed veal from a supermarket or butcher once someone else has done all the cruel and distressing tasks before then. Have you ever tried killing an animal yourself? The thing is that you will lose any battle with e.g. a cow because they will give you one big kick if you ever tried to touch them. The only reason you can get meat is because someone else has done all the dirty, cruel and unnatural work for you. The thing is naturally you should only eat food that you can actually get yourself - without any weapons. If you can't make the kill yourself then that food isn't for you. Think about that next time you tuck into a beefburger.

In the US, they are seasonal. They don't have dedicated farms for veal. In the US, veal comes from dairy farms. They only want female cows for obvious reasons .

Actually, most veal in the United States comes from specialty veal farms. The calves are sold, and it's like they've shown in this video.
Still - some veal in the US is still crated (placed in tiny crates to minimize movement to try and limit toughness of muscle), although most industry associations discourage it. It's illegal in several states and generally discouraged now.

In countries like ireland, cattle need to be able to walk into a slaughterhouse by themselves to be slaughtered. Not to mention a stressed animal - like a one with broken legs - has tougher, less tasty meat.

Let's not sugarcoat this.This industry is cruel in separating mother and calf. Do you think the mother cow was happy to let her baby be taken away? The answer is no. This immediate and permanent separation has caused immense distress for both calf and mother, probably in the same way it would if a human mother was separated from her human baby. Those who eat veal, I wonder if you would be prepared to take the calf from its mother right at the beginning of this process rather than pick up your already processed veal from a supermarket or butcher once someone else has done all the cruel and distressing tasks before then. The way the food industry operates nowadays has desensitivied consumers because consumers are not involved right from the beginning of the process e.g. obtaining red meat and obtaining milk and if they were involved then if they have any kind of conscience, they would probably realise how cruel, unnatural and weird their behaviour is and probably would look for alternative food sources rather than red meat and dairy milk that they just take for granted.

What the sinew eating, ruptured muscle and coagulated blood meat eaters don't understand is they are eating meat full of cortisol and other stress hormones realised when the poor animal is murdered. I hope they choke on their meat and it reduces their lives significantly. Most of the comments on here by the meat eaters show the lack of respect they have for animals and themselves. They think its funny to hurt, torture and degrade another life. These same people would do it to other humans as well if they could. The only good thing to come out of this is awareness and the hope that their evil and selfish eating habits terminate their years on this world prematurely.
