I have two I use in my cabinet refacing business. They work beautifully. I also purchased the dust port for a vacuum connection (195559-1). It collects about 85-90% of the shavings making clean up much more manageable; especially in a customers house. Make sure you have extra batteries, because they do tend to drain them fairly quick. I haven't had any issues with depth wandering, but I'm just using flush trimmers and tapered bits. 9 out of 10 as well.
Been a cabinet maker myself over 46 years using routers daily. All routers will move on occatoins making a deeper cut. Purchased this Makita 18v router my self and can't fault it unlike the many copy's of this small powerful design that at first glance look the same but can never match Makita.
I just tried this and wasn’t sure why I was getting horrible lose dados. When you losen to set the depth and tighten again, there’s enough play that the bit and the fence is at a slightly new location.

Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback. I agree, the Makita is a great router!
Thanks, Pete. A very helpful video. I was wondering if the adjustable collar allows for making good dado cuts?
Thanks for watching.
Not sure if this is the best tool for cutting dados. Makita calls it a trim router… probably it’s best application.
