Sounds like this is a great product for a bedroom/apartment rocker who wants to record but can't mic a full cab or run at full volume. Definitely gonna check this out.

Well I think thats a bit of an absurd low expectation that there would be just one voicing that wouldn't be competitive at all and certainly wouldn't be consistent with Mooers own product value system. The amount of simulations was for me expected but the lcd screen and the tweaks were impressive the ability to upload your own irs completes the experience and along with it's size combined makes it a perfect tool. True innovation at work Boss and T,C Electronics are now the followers.

That's a life saver, I am going to buy it right away, no more random microphones live, on old stands that can't fuckin' stay still, or moved from a band to another on different cabs. My life as a live sound engineer is going to be much easier now :)

Easily going to clean house in sales. Ever since I got a mooer shaky jimi many years ago, I've always been a fan of those guys.
This pedal is an incredible idea. I was thinking of getting the Headrush Pedalboard but i may just get this little guy and continue to use my traditional pedals and amps.
Looks great. Since it does an important job, it doesn't have to be that small - like if it has to sit on top of an amp. An XLR out would be nice too. IR loading is a great option. The eq. section and powerstage are winning point too.
I was just passing by this video and seen you demoing this pedal 5 years ago. I have this pedal and I love it still to this very day. I don;t find every IR usable in it. But about half of them really kick ass in this little pedal that are the stock IR. Running through my effects loop with my Marshall DSL100 and this paired with a Mooer 012 Golden Preamp pedal I use as a second attenuation set to the blue channel in the effect loop and EQ pedal. Damn its a rig to die for.
I currently use my ADA Microcab II old school speaker sim and it is bad ass. This little thing is very impressive. I like the capability of the IR and the parametric. Very cool.

Around this time last year your videos convinced me to buy the Pod HD and I liked it a lot and just as I was getting tired of it I saw this video and decided to buy the Mooer Radar to see how it will sound if I use it with my Pod. The Pod has never sounded better and I don't think I will be switching to other gear anytime soon. Thank you for your amazing videos !
AMT brought out a similar product years ago, called pangaea ... sadly amt have not spent enough money in marketing, so it never went soo popular ... would you like to make a review? they also have solid state 12ax7 "tubes" that are ultra tight ...
The cool thing of the pangaea is the speaker through ... so you can it use it live instead of a mic and use two notes ir editor to maje the perfect ir for your sound and ... yeah ... that is niiiiceeeee ^^
I had one, it was great, but not perfect. It doesn't help that the availability was spotty, or that it was hard to convert impulses, or they released an upgraded version stuffed with unnecessary features that didn't fit into anyone's use case. Way to devalue your product, AMT! Personally, I'm not getting another impulse loader for bedroom practice until they come out with a stereo version. It's just not possible to get a stellar tone on headphones with mono. Cheers!
got myself the pangaea cp 100 a year ago one of the advantages of the AMT is that you could also put it parallel to a Speaker out, but since I started to use only my pedalboard + the impulseloader for live, the Mooer might have been more practical
top props for telling people to not put speaker outputs into it! I am thinking of picking up something like this just just throw a rat infront of it and a delay like tc flashback after it, smallest / good board I can think of.

There are many IR products on the market, but I think DYNAX IR has the best sound. As stated in their product description, DYNAX IR is really fast. When using IRs, the pick attack is sometimes delayed, and it is difficult to add picking nuances, but their IR prevents all of that. It's revolutionary!
Hey Ola! Absolutely loving all the new gear reviews lately!!! Any chance you will be doing the Peavey "Invective 120" soon!!?? I just received mine 5 days ago after waiting since January! In my opinion its the best sounding new Metal tone my ears have heard in room since the first 5150 it has this Saturation, Cut & Clarity I have never heard from an "In Room" all tube metal experience It would be killer to hear this amp with your Recording/Style & final sound production coming through my monitors!!

I never wanted to use a real amp in live situations because of the hassle with dragging a cab with me and mics. I could also never afford the Two Notes stuff so this awesome! I could easily see myself bringing a 5153 50w with me now!
You still need a cab or at least a load box. Otherwise your tube amp will be screwed. A lot of comments on hear missing that point. I’ll be using the radar instead of a mic as your get a great FOH sound regardless of cab or mic.
"You do not need a dummy load connected to the amp. Actually all Fender tube amps have the output shorted if you disconnect the speaker. For a tube amp it is better to drive a short than an open. If you are worried about it, just plug a dummy jack into the headphone output and it mutes the power amp. The headphone output is speaker emulated and has a sharp roll off." jeromesnail That maybe the case for some Fender amps but I’ve seen too many blown transformers where people assume they can getaway without a cab/load. I was kinda alluding to that point as was Ola ;)
DanRanger yeah I know I'm very careful too. I use an DIY loadbox anyway, as the preamp out of the 5153 mini is IN the FX loop (so no sound when FX is bypassed...)

you can use both at the same time, just never run the amp without a proper load in the speaker output.

You can also load third part IR impulse this is the best feature this little pedals has got. By the way Ola off-axis is the best one in my opinion

lmao if you end up really disliking the mooer for some reason, just get those aftermarket IR's and load it into your radar and you are good to go.
