It's episodes like this that separates GoT from all other TV shows. They literally set on fire 73 stunt people this episode. As their stunt coordinator stated, no film or TV show has ever done that in a whole show, let alone in one sequence. They also set 20 people on fire for 15 seconds at once, which is also a record in tv and filmmaking. That kind of commitment to visual storytelling and keeping it as real as possible is just amazing. Hats off to all those stunt people and their coordinator Rowley Irlam.

yesssss!! its the moment Drogon sets them on fire on the incoming!!! 25 whole dudes in the actual scene..!! they practiced for like, 8 weeks beforehand too..!!! this is one of my favorite facts about the show/behind the scenes as well as being one of my top favorite moments/episodes in the entire series!!!! they freakin killed it bro ⚔❤🔥💙❤❤🔥⚔
p.s. those monks singing in extremely low tones while Jaime rides towards Dany on that horse, and then Drogon blowing those horses away.. fooooo i find myself CONSTANTLY rewinding that entire moment over and over again!!!! and then Tyrion with the 'you idiot.. you fucking idiot' is literally the icing on the cake!!!
Dany revenge for the Tyrell and for Olenna. I like how that Dothraki guy said “Your people can’t fight.” To Tyrion😂
this is in my top 5 fave episodes in the series. i’m obsessed with watching the Dothraki fight. also, i’m not sure but i just think Sansa is just seeing how much has changed with her siblings. they’ve all been through so much. Arya vs Brienne was definitely a sight to see!

Easily one of the top 5 episodes in my opinion. Robert Baratheon’s worst nightmare came true. The Queen’s army vs the Dothraki on an open field of battle. It was everything I could hope for. I hate Cersei with the fire of a thousand suns. I know exactly how you feel. Enjoyed your reaction and commentary as always. Keep up the great work!

The Arya/Brienne/Sansa dynamic is so fraught with conflicting emotions. On the one hand, Arya thinks Brienne killed the Hound (who she really did care about), but Brienne also embodies everything Arya has always admired (thinking back to Arya talking about the Targaryen women in the convo w/Tywin). Sansa has enjoyed the fact that she has been the sole focus of Brienne's protection. She has come to rely on Brienne, and now Brienne's attention is going in two directions, and Arya/Brienne is a more natural fit than Sansa/Brienne. That's all on top of the existing childhood issues btw the two sisters. It was slight, but did you notice the way Sansa bristled a little bit when Arya said "So Jon left you in charge"? While Arya (younger daughter) and Jon (Bastard) have always rejected the patriarchal/lineal system of Westeros, Sansa has always bought into it. By right, she IS the heir to the North, and is has to rankle her that someone she'd always fought with (Arya) reminded her that someone she'd always looked down upon (Jon) "left" her in charge of what (in her view) was already hers by right.
There are parts of this show I'm not too big on, but the story arcs of the Stark kids have always been so well done and nuanced.

Hey Tomaj, it's been a while. This is still my favorite single episode of the series. There have been other epic battles, but this is the first time where we as the audience truly cared about members from both sides. I was so on the edge of my seat.
I look forward to seeing you conclude this series and begin House of the Dragon.

The Direwolves names were their owner's fate: Summer: died in the cave, Bran died in the cave & also Summer is over, winter is here. Lady: Sansa's wanted to be a Lady but that idea went dead at King's Landing. Nymeria: "Warrior Queen". Arya always said "that's not me", just like her direwolf chose to be a free warrior. Grey Wind: Robb was like a grey wind of death to his enemies. Ghost: Jon came back from the dead. Shaggy Dog? idk, beats me lol.

Shaggy dog like rickon was unruly. Rickon was often left to fend for himself. Shaggy dog died being ambushed just as he did. They were both shaggy mongrel dogs with no allies nobody who could save them.
I honestly think Sansa was grappling with the fact that "holy shit my kid sister doesn't just have a list of people she wants to kill, she can actually do it." nothing nasty in the spirit, it's just something that makes our analytical Stark slightly wary because Arya being a badass wasn't on her bingo card so now she's gotta digest all that or at least that's how I read the scene
She was wary bc Peter kept pointing out that she really has no one backing her. She had Brienne but Arya says "You swore to serve both my mothera daughters" and Sansa looks sideways at Peter. It's the little things.
@@jasmineg_63 she was not upset over that. Like you said, serve both her mother’s daughters, Sansa doesn’t hate her sister, why would she hate the fact that her sister has someone else watching her back?
And also, as we see in episode five, Sansa is able to get the northern lords to respect her. They even say maybe they should’ve picked her as their queen. she has no shortage of allies if it were to come down to it

I loved the cinematography of this episode!! I know the writing was already wavering by this point, but this episode was great! After this episode I feel like the writing takes another massive drop and no episodes after this one is nearly as good as this one so to me this is the final truly great game of thrones episode!! RIP lol
It all goes down the drain after this episode. Should have been a simple finish line: kill off Cercei next episode, then you had 1.5 season left te spend on the night king.
@@BamBamGT1 well based on the overall structure of the story (in the books) the war between the kingdoms of men for the throne with be the final battle which takes place after the white walkers are defeated. So I disagree with what you said except for everything after this episode being pretty trash lol
@@yomamma.ismydaddy216 There was no reason to keep Cercei after the annihilation of her army. Storywise it made no sense at all, to make some kind of peace and embark on that stupid mission north of the wall to make a point to Cercei.

Nothing made my heart happier than the sight of the Dothraki charging over the hill, remember what Robert said.."Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field" 😂😂 Daenerys also said to Jon what Jon said Mance Rayder - "do your people have to suffer for your pride?" A lot of parallels in this one. Tyrion had no problem with the dragons destroying Slaver's Bay, he knows what they can do, but seeing his own family's army burn, all of a sudden NOW he's shook? Fuck that. This is where D&D start ruining EVERYTHING 😡😡
Can you imagine the horror though, Jaime probably got ptsd of the mad king and what he has done, the innocents he murdered. Like I get we root for Dany but in the end that was horrible, that’s people being burned alive. I think it’s VERY stupid that she just burned the food and gold… didn’t even take them for herself but burned it. Now everyone is starving.
We know her and her mission. But those soldiers are just fighting for their royalty, it’s not the wrong side for them. They’re seeing the terror Dany caused
I mean i’d feel bad but these the same people who just wiped out an entire house (Highgarden) just to steal their food and gold… they have just as much blood on their hands. The Tarlys betrayed Highgarden and paid the price now! Dany tried to do this peacefully and they were going to starve Kingslanding into giving Cersei up but as always Cersei chooses violence. She couldn’t sit there and keep letting her allies fall! I back Danys choice, they knew who they was messing with. The f*cked around and found out if they didn’t

@@BigBroLilSis no that’s understandable that both sides follow orders. I agree with the comment. My comment was not so much as a toss at Dany being completely wrong doing what she did, but more so at the fact that it’s still horrible on how the people died. (Again Cercei choosing violence in the end is her doing so not the people, and that doesn’t mean Dany should do so as well) I will say, Lannister army didn’t do much, in the end Cercei killed the Tyrell bloodline, and Jamie Olenna- not the soldiers.

Qyburns weapon would do what it had to, if it had hit properly. It nailed Drogon in the shoulder part of the wing, likely being stopped by the thick bone there. If he'd hit a soft spot, like the inside the mouth, throat, eye, or stomach, it would've done massive damage. Good reaction, as always.
Very difficult to hit any soft parts of a dragon. Rhaenys (the conquer) died with her dragon in dorne because they made a 1 in a million shot with a spear to her dragons eye. So in reality qyburns weapon isnt that effective without miracle aim

This is one of my favorite episodes, for reasons. It took us 7.5 years to find out why the Dothraki are feared on the battlefield. They show no mercy to their enemy, none and they won't surrender, they'll die first. Its hard to beat any enemy with that mindset. Plus it took us 7.5 years for us anti-Lannisters to finally see the Lannister forces finally get some payback done to them.
I think this is BY FAR THE BEST episode of the entire season ... and maybe the best episode of the entire show! Spoils of war is the best action secuences I have ever seen in my entire life!!!

This is one of those great episodes that unexpectedly turns.......AWESOME.
I remember all the jokes when this episode first aired about Jon wiping white chalk off on his pants when he and Danny walked out of the cave.
I was just a split second ahead of the show figuring out Jorah was back. I read "This man says he is your fr......." Right then I figured it out and jumped outta my chair.
Lastly.....I get a lump in my throat seeing how much Podrick truly admires Brienne. He was genuinely proud.
You need to change that one behind you to GoT world map after you finish the show 😉

fun fact - Arya is actually right handed in real life, but in the books shes a leftie.. so Maisie literally learned how to fight and use weapons with her left hand to keep it authentic and real to the books!!!! another fun fact - they use a REAL FIRE FLAMETHROWER for EVERY SINGLE TIME the dragons breathe fire!!! thing is like a 30ft flame throwin beast 😭😭also, if you go back thru the series and watch Dany on Drogons back, she SLOWWLLYYY gets smaller and smaller haha!!! this scene is a great testament to that!!! she looks like a lil flea up there heehee!!! i absolutely LOVE how you noticed the time jump..!!! it would have taken a LONG time to get all the army from Dragonstone over to High Garden/The Reach, but we gonna just ignore that lulz..!! and i feel the same way you do about the dragons..!!! TO HURT THEM IS SACRELIGIOUS TO ME!!! theyre just so special 😭😭theres literally only 3 IN THE ENTIRE WORLD and there probably WONT be any more, ever..!!! just an overwhelming feeling of YOU CANT!! YOU JUST CAAAAAAAANT 😫😫i feel like theyre so beautiful and special and just.. What I never understood was why so many of her Dothraki had to die, I feel like the dragon could’ve taken them out on his own. Or at least made them surrender. in the books the dragon scales are insanely tough. you'd have to hit the dragon like in the eye or mouth in order for it to effect them.

Dragonstone and King's Landing are pretty close to each other. The show does play with time to say the least in the later seasons, but it would be possible for her to quickly attack Jamie and the army while they were on their way back to King's Landing from Highgarden, especially since the Dothraki move so fast.

I don't understand why it's not a good idea to burn the Red Keep. It doesn't mean she'd have to burn any other part of King's Landing. No one would even know she was coming... she could finish it in an afternoon, with very limited casualties.

Ahhh, the episode where Dany was being a Warrior Queen out on the field of battle and not like Cerci hiding behind castle walls. The episode where people forgot who Dany and what she was working with... She's the Queen of Dragons and she used her dragon for war - which it was - WAR... And, yes - time meant nothing to the show runners D&D - sped up EVERYTHING - so nothing made sense...

Tyrion’s whole battle plan failed! He became too dumb to outsmart Cersei 🤦🏾♀️🤣& he kept underestimating Cersei or working for her with his actions! This was the best battle of the show Bronn & Jaime had dragon fire proof plot armor to survive it 🤣 I’m mad Daenerys didn’t keep going & just took KL while Cersei was at her weakest

The right time is when I got something to say. Like I said, you not gonna like my videos. You just gotta take that with a grain of salt 🤷🏽♂️. You also see my talking more frequently because I edit out alot of the parts where im quiet for a period of time.
