Everybody thought she was 19 back then... although her real age was 17, which was revealed somewhere in the beginning of the new millennium. So sad, that she did not continue her career for another 2 years.... maybe even through to Barcelona.

Wow! Thank you for all of the information and background about Daniela's floor music! It is lovely that she used Romanian music for the final floor routine of her stellar competitive career! ✨️💖💖💖✨️
underved 10, this routine was half difficoult of her own routine on 87 ( where shre really deserved 10)and still scored 10, with a break on her second line and bad landing on her double tuck. All 10's by Silivas in 89 were very generous
The second pass was really bad.... it was almost like she was looking for the exit. But I really think the judges knew, this was the last time for Daniela and they bowed before her, giving her a nice farewell. She was a big star back then....

What an incredible gymnast she was. She literally had it all - I absolutely love everything about her. Thank You for posting.

I miss the days of artistry. Daniela was simply the BEST!
Those times were the best and we can always view them here.... and enjoy those precious moments! 💚😏😃
And when people could actually stick their landings!!!!
@@Patrick.V.that’s because they were allowed to “colllege stick” unlike nowadays.
you got that right!!!

I loved her floor routines, full of originality
My favorite routine from Daniela Silivas was the Floor Exercise back in 1987 at the Europeans in Moscow.

The gymnasts in these days were the best of all

Ca un vis, draga noastră Daniela Silivas!🥰
Brilliant
Her second pass was a bit.... off the course... but it was a good routine.... 🤗
Minunată!!!farà egal❤
She’s one of the best of all time! Artistry and tumbling skills that could match today’s difficulty… what a pioneer!
🇷🇴👍🏻
😊
Pity I can't find a video of her compulsory floor from 1989.
I bet it was gorgeous
I wished I could provide that routine, but I don't have any footage from the 1989 Worlds Compulsory rounds at all. 😖

@@Boban1611 anyway both her and Bogi had horrible routines, Dudnyk Bontas or Laschenkova deserved gold on floor
lol

What's this music?
I've tried to find it out... with no success so far....
Try Ciuleandra, romanian folk song, maybe instruments are different.
