@CJColvin. Ford has to limit the use of the Coyote V8 engines to balance their fleet mpg numbers along with their carbon emission numbers. One of the main reasons Dodge discontinued the Hemi besides it's terrible EPA and mpg numbers was Dodge's overusing it by putting it in most of their vehicles from the Challenger, Charger, Chrysler 300, jeeps, Rams and Durango with the only exception being the Pacifica. This cost Stellantis millions of dollars in mpg fines. Using it in a limited format keeps the Coyote available for future use in the Mustang and the F-150. Crate engines fall in a different category.

Love the Coyote but it's not just about buying the engine. If you're swapping into an earlier car or truck the peripherals (oil pan, air box/ducting, exhaust system, cooling system, fuel system, etc.) easily add another $5k. That salvage yard Explorer pushrod 5.0 is starting to look pretty good.

I believe they are the same and people put blowers on all day and make 700-850 hp reliability. Of course, you could make 600, mistreat it and break the engine. Reliability always comes down to being responsible with tune and how you drive.
The Preditor crate engine with the dual clutch transmission and control pack to run both in a hot rod build or for the more modern Mustangs, would be just the ticket to easily put my 1996 Mustang GT into the low tens or high nines in the quarter mile. The only question that we all want to know .
Otherwise it's completely useless to us all.
Come on Evan. You're got pull. Get Ford to WTFU and unlock those pc.
Cheaper to buy a a donor car or truck. Ford always makes pricing for these create engine stupid high.
Used engines are always cheaper and have their place, but this engine comes with a 2-year/24,000 mile warranty and Ford will work with owners since not everyone installs the engine the day they get it. Remember, you're getting a brand new engine vs a used engine.
@@revanevan yeah and a single cab F150 with the same engine and a ten speed with a better warranty, all the work done and a nice truck is 33k
Ford is just beating shit out of that 5.0 motor even in the super snake used to get a 6.250 now what is supercharger guy can’t you come out with a big block
9 1/2 quarts. 😳
Now Evan, of the Mustang is so good then how come Ford didn't invest enough money into the Mercury brand back in 05 to create the new Cougar with the retro styling looks just like the S197 Mustang back in 05 and just like the newer Mustangs have the same 5.0L Coyote V8 but make it 530 HP version of the Cougar vs 480 HP for the Mustang GT and 500 HP for the Dark Horse 🐎?
I'm sure Ford market research determined that it would not be a big seller in a time when many people wanted big SUVs. But that's just my guess.
@@revanevan True or the fact that it would be competing against each other as well but who knows.
And just to make you talk s*** and mad my 93 Fox still has a four-cylinder in it all original virgin car Hate Me Now I love it
I’m switching back to ford for my next car. These Audis are too expensive to blow up
if it locked no sale if its locked yhen you own it not the buyer not a moral thing to do
And when I break down on the side of the road I can fix it and bring it home I don't need no laptop and all that b*******
