Dude DLC is hard to wear off, easy to look dirty. The only time I’ve had it wear is during diamond sharpening user error. Soap and water will take dirt off and alcohol or acetone will remove tape type residue.

Yesh. I’ve been daily hard using a PM2 in M4 DLC and the coating is holding up extremely well.

I have a Para3 and it came with rather bad action. I loosened the pivot and the action didn't improve much.
So I eventually removed the screws and separated the scales at the pivot while not removing them from the lanyard tube.
I cleaned the phosphor-bronze washers and blade where it contacts the washers and pivot with 70% rubbing alcohol then used mineral oil (well baby oil which is mainly scented mineral oil) to lightly lube the washers and where the blade contacts the pivot.
Now it is smooth, very much so. It drops shut and the pivot screws are tight enough to make blade play very very minor unless you are using a good amount of force.
Nick Shabazz has a good video on how to dissassemble and maintain the para3 and I used his video as a guide.

Spyderco could do better on that sharpening issue by having a sharpening choil like they do on some others, they need one on all of their designs because it makes it so much easier to sharpen the knife without worrying about scuffing up the finish if it’s DLC or Cerakoted.🤓

Those marks will come off with alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Unless you're hitting metal, It's residue.
