The Philippine team played like a well-oiled 90s to early 2000s NBA team--midrange shots, lots of inside plays, and pure grit. New Zealand played straight-up modern NBA--all about the threes.
They messed up with that part. this how they got beaten in final quarter. Philippines pressured them outside and never let them get easy bucket inside or perimeter. Leads to a lot of turnovers.
I am a Filipino and the win was close and New Zealand was drilling thress due to the fact that Gilas Center Junmar was dropping his defense. The Game is close but in my opinion doesn't really matter.
