We had a 2016 Heritage Glen that we had issues from the first trip, and last 3 years, we had to step from floor joist to floor joist because the foam floor had failed. We wanted a 5th wheel and knew we wanted the standard rear living floor plan, and had looked at all the normal players, but we just could not find something we were comfortable wasn’t going to be a piece of junk. We started watching Brinkley videos pretty early on, and following the FB pages, and when we saw one in person, just how solid everything felt was amazing, so we bought a 3100, and it has been great, a few minor things, but they were taken care of. I just got a call from Erik in Owner Relations, just wanting to check if we’d had issues, and if I had any feedback on what they could improve, features they could add etc. he also called a few months ago. I think it’s awesome, and probably the only RV company that reaches out to customers and asks these questions.
Glad to hear you're having a good experience with yours as well. We strongly considered the 3100 layout, but in the end went with the 3400 for the back patio. We've really enjoyed it with the pups and so far only minor issues. Glad you found our channel and we hope you'll continue to join us on our adventure!
We bought a Brinkley 3100 for the same reason. We had a Jayco travel trailer and it was fantastic, no major issues at all and worked just as well in the 8th year as it had in the first. We just outgrew it. We knew when we set foot in the Brinkley that they build quality was simply better than anything else we had walked through, and we had walked through hundreds a\of units from every dealer imaginable. This doesn’t mean there haven’t been issues, there always are. Brinkley customer service has been awesome.
So glad you have had a great experience with them. That's what we are hoping to have as well. We seriously considered the 3100 but wanted something a little different from our previous floorplan. We agree any vehicle experiencing the earthquake of travel is going to have issues, but so far they have been minor. Curious what issues you've experienced to compare notes? We hope you will continue to join us on our adventure!
We’ve been in our Brinkley z3100 six months now and are very happy with our choice. We’ve had a few issues and customer care has been exceptional. Hope you enjoy yours too.
Thanks! Congrats on your new Brinkley! We are really enjoying ours and we really appreciate the customer support we've experienced up to this point! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Bent axle. I came across this not only on my own but on customers trailers too. I use a chain and a Porta-power hydraulic ram ti straighten them out. I find center line from the hitch and measure back to the lead axle spring eye to check for square. Then check straightness off the leading & trailing edges of each wheel to find Toe. Then I check and set Caster of each wheel. I've done a bunch and never experienced tire wear again. When I ask customers sometimes admit they hit a curb or drove it up on a block to change the other tire that was flat and they bent the axle by overloading it.
Right-o! Thanks for the information. Unfortunately once the axle was noticeably bent (as shown in the video after the truck cut us off), we weren't in a position to fix this ourselves. Thankfully after we changed to beefier axles, the tire wear was no longer an issue. We appreciate you commenting and hope you will continue with us on our journey!
The z3100 is a really nice layout as well. Our Travel Trailer prior to this had a very similar layout, but the Brinkley's are so well designed we really don't feel like we are "giving up" any interior living except maybe in the master closet slightly. The patio is really nice for having the pups outside, eating meals, stargazing, or just people watching!
What are you towing your new Brinkley with? Your words hit me in this video. You had your camper paid off, we have ours paid off. We also have a Forest River and the quality is just not there. I keep looking at the Brinkley too! We keep going back and forth between another fifth wheel or an older class A. There’s just so much more room in a fifth wheel. We’re retiring in three years and want to travel around the country and I just don’t think our Forest River will handle it.
We hear you! It's such a tough decision! We are towing with a 2016 GMC Denali 2500 diesel modified with air bags. Obviously I can't answer the question for you I can only share our experience, but for us it's been worth it! Good luck in your decision and we hope you'll join us as we continue on this adventure! ❤️

Been around this industry a long time and was even a rep. At some point you were overloaded and hit either a curb or severe pothole to bend that axle like that and weakened the frame. 5100 pound axles were fine for the actual GVWR of the camper. And for you to continue to drive the miles you did after seeing a problem like that first tire you were negligent and could have caused a severe accident.
