Sorry to correct your statements on the FW 190 Nate. Here you have the dates of the first flight for some of the first WW2 warbirds. As you can see, the FW-190 is actually a fairly new construction comparing to the UK machins and German BF 109. You should also note that typically it takes 2 years after the dates mentioned before the machines were put into service in the squadrons for the first time. Messerschmitt Bf 109 first flight 29 May 1935 Supermarine Spitfire first flew on March 5, 1935 Hawker Hurricane first flight November 6, 1935 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 first flew June 1, 1939 North American P-51 Mustang First Flight October 26, 1940 Fly safe.
Most (if not all) replica planes are tail heavy, due to the fact that real world planes have much heavier engine compared to the rest of the plane than RC models. All RC models should have longer fuselage ahead of the main wing due to the electric motors being so light. They look good for scale flying, but otherwise they generally fly poorly due to having offset CG to the back - just so they could look like scaled down models of actual planes.
I bought my FW 190A from Horrizon the E-flite 1500mm BNP Smart scale on january 16 2021. Or looks so much better and with the electronics so much to fly. It's totally new for E-Flite and I bought it in pre order for Belgium. Best regards from Belgium Hugo
Nate I have one of those as well and I flew my first flight on 3s and it was Tail heavy just like yours I put a4 s 2200 in it and it is balanced perfect and has the perfect power and is one of my favorites now she flies sweet even in the wind. As was said it calls for a 4s 2200, that should help hit the cg, I'd double check that in the manual. Great job handling it all unbalanced in the wind! It looked like a handful.
The P-51 is among my favorite US fighters from the WWII era. The Vought F4U Corsair, Grumman F6F Hellcat, P-47 Thunderbolt... anyway, I like WWII fighters. I actually had a Spitfire when I was younger. The car, not the fighter. :)

When i have a good head wind i stay away from using the flaps many times it will throw you into a bad stall...Use the wind to slow you down and stay on that throttle the whole time.
I like the details on this model, including the pilot figure and the retractable landing gear! Very nice paint scheme! It's cool to see such a realistic recreation of this famous plane!
I have had this model for a couple of years now. It flies really well on a 4s. Have to use a very smooth surface for take off and landing. Always seems to nose tip on landings. Position of the wheels I think? Love this plane.
I want a plane so bad! Can't afford it. My favorite warplanes are P51 and f4u corsair. Used to watch BAA-BAA black sheep every week! Great job, but the landings reminded of the old black and white crash reels! Lol. Still any landing you walk away from in one piece is good!
That's pretty neat how the canopy has the hinged lid, I've never seen that in other planes that I've seen on videos before. Love the new animated entry, cool!
Nice plane, I was thinking it needs a splash of colour, then I noticed the yellow. I prefer more bright colours, but its a warbird. No surprise about your new tx, I saw the receiver & you mentioned that your using 7 of the 8 channels. 👍 for a maiden flight in windy conditions.

FW 190 a4 2/JG2 Nate: You say it's heavy, but compare it to a all balsa model of the same size it's still lighet due to it being a foamie. And you don't heed flaps at wind speeds like that, you need all the speed you can get in the landings.
Great job with the flight! This is what the wind is like most of the time in Texas. So I feel for you. I guess that is why I have so much trouble with learning how to fly. Too much wind! Lol.

I like that plane I had a Mustang but I never got a chance to actually fly it because it was one of those handheld ones and I had my brother try to launch it and it scared the heck out of him so he dropped it anyways thanks for your Channel you been a big help

That bird needs to be flown to a landing. No stall let the tail fall. Once the mains touch elevator and rudder are your go to's. Move the CG forward slightly to stop the porpoising

Kool. I like that f16 u did. I'm looking myself out for one. But I prefer big trucks and boats mostly. My moms adopted grandfather one I grew up knowing. He used to work for gruman company that built these planes. And he used to work in offices with plans of planes. That's all I knew. Its was on long island ny some where he worked for them. I cant remember because I was a kid back then in 80s. But was told by my mom long time ago. In 60s and those times he worked for them.
I'm in Maine now. And I just have exceed madbeast brushless monster truck. 1/8 scale. I bought it used.. but it's ok. Wish spend my money on a newer truck. But I'm poor so bought that used truck. I had fix rear end in that terror of truck. What a process to pull apart and fix.
I've visited Maine a couple times in my life and always thought it was very beautiful there. I'm sure Winters arent much fun there, but when its warm out you are a very lucky person to live where you do 👍⚓
