I’m a bit confused. Great video btw!!! But if I bought a cup 2 summers ago, would I still be able to bring it for use this summer? Or do I have to buy a new one each time I visit the parks??
Love this idea and I didn’t even know there were refillable tumblers in the parks for sale. I love LMNT electrolytes (which are great for days you are walking and sweating a lot) so I’ll bring those and add them to my water!
Love your channel, question, I have a tumbler from 2022, am I able to bring it back on a different month/year? Also am I able to get a slushee with it instead of soda?
Yes and yes!! As long as the chip in the bottom still works, you can reactivate it! If you’ve ran it through the dishwasher, the chip will most likely be damaged.
I was there for Spring Break 2022 and bought the cup. Great at first but turned into a nightmare because most of the Coca Cola machines ran out of ice and the lines for the vendors were a mile long. Had to go without ice all day.
They struggle to keep ice in the machines when it’s busy, but most of the machines have cold drinks! It’s a little annoying, but they do their best. Still better than paying $5/bottle for water if you ask us!

If you get water, do you have to wait the 10 minutes to refill? Thinking it would be nice to drink some water real quick then switch back to something delicious.
Hey guys, love your page and it’s been helping me plan (and get excited for) my first universal trip!! Thanks a ton. I’m wondering if you could do a video of which stores do the delivery service to your hotel room, specifically stores in Harry Potter world? Thanks!!
We’re so glad you’re enjoying our videos! We’ve been planning to do a package service video on one of our upcoming trips, but to our knowledge, all of the stores in the parks participate in the package delivery. The only exception to that is when their system is down, which has happened to us once or twice.
Not really. Basically, if you have to get a locker for your bag, you’ll need one for your cup. If it’s a “fanny pack only” or “no bags at all” ride, the cups have to go up. We hope this helps!
My husband and I will be going to universal later this year for the first time, and your videos are super helpful! Would you be able to cover how the package pick up system works? I heard that while in the park you can purchase souvenirs and tell them you want to use this and they'll bring the item to the front of the park so you don't have to carry a bunch of things around while going on rides?
@@McGuirkEats yes! During COVID, you had to actually pick it up at the front desk, but we assume it will be returning to normal soon if it hasn’t already.
Thank you thank you thank you! I was actually going to message you guys on one of your other videos with questions about the refillable cups but you answered all of them with this great video! Thank you! Grazie! Merci! Danke! Tack! Gracias! Obrigadol!
If you look at the menu on the Freestyle machine and see “water” as a separate selection, you can fill anything including empty water bottles 😉. If you don’t see the “water” option, you need a Freestyle cup.
Hey!! I love the way how you both explain everything in detail. I have one question..Is it enough to keep a card with us to purchase food or anything else during our visit to theme parks? Do we have to carry cash?
Card or the app. I had a lanyard I brought, my ticket, hhn ticket, room key and my card in one of those zipup holder things they sell for a dollar and that worked well. Also can link your card to your room at a universal resort and you will just pay it on the departure day or put the card into the app and pay it that way. There's just so many options, love it.
Also if you are staying at an onsite hotel, you can charge with your room key: it just gets charged to your credit card on file at the end of your stay. This makes it so you don't need to have any extra cards handy
Yes, as far as we know the cups will work at all three parks. We’ve never tested this ourselves, so we would suggest calling/texting Universal to double check.
@@raybosflorida4928 I mean, we are confident enough that the information we have found is accurate, we just don’t want to guarantee anything unless we’ve done it ourselves! We get 100s of questions a day, we would love to double check for everyone, but universal would get tired of hearing from us!

Do you know how many ounces these hold? We were on the fence about buying them, but the UOAP one is buy-one-get-one until the end of the month so we might get them after all.
We think they are such an incredible deal honestly! We just weighed one on a food scale and then filled it up. It looks like without ice they hold 24 oz of fluid!
Curious as to how you all carry your cups. I’m looking into a fanny pack with holders, backpack with holders, or a carabiner clip water bottle holder. Do you have something you use or do you usually just carry them by hand?
We just hold it! We're usually drinking out of it while we're walking anyway, but if we need to put it up, it fits perfectly in the mesh pocket on the side of our backpack.
The captain america cafe is a great one to stop at and gets overlooked every time. We say there for 30 mins just to cool off and rehydrate and there was never a line. Probably says alot about the cafe but oh well.....🤷
I love your videos.😊 Would you be willing to do a video on where you can use Universal Gift Cards? Specifically where you can use them at City Walk restaurants and within the parks?
That sounds like a great idea and it is actually one we have talked about doing! We will get some gift cards the next time we are down and share the experience!
To our knowledge we do not think so, however that would be a great idea in our opinion! Luckily they have them so often that we think they would be hard to miss!

Hy Guys !!!The HHN Tumbler !! is it good to refill until oct 31 or good for one year ? and this same Tumbler does it work at Volcano Bay ? thx guys !!!! :)
I bought a freestyle cup when I was there two years ago and apparently you could buy two or more days at a time? We were in the parks a total of three days and apparently on my second day whoever activated did it for two days and I had no idea! So, the first thing we did on our last day was go to get it activated and she told us we were already set for the day! I was like 😲 cool! It could have been a fluke thing but i think it’s a great idea to be able to buy multiple days. I stayed at endless summer and I thought since it was a resort I could also fill my cup up at the resort but they said you had to pay for the drinks there so that was a bummer. 😞 You guys do a really great job in all your videos! I was wondering if you guys could show us around the resorts you stay at when you go? Ik a lot of other people do those types of videos but some of them are hard to get through and don’t give as much information as you guys! Thanks so much! I watch your videos with my morning coffee 😂
Awh that’s so sweet! We’ve definitely talked about doing resort videos and even considered doing live streams from the resorts in the future, so definitely stay tuned for that! It sounds like you got lucky with your cup! We’ve had that happen once or twice before, but no one has ever mentioned purchasing multiple days to us! That’d be so convenient to not have to worry about it! We’re so glad you’re enjoying our videos and we really appreciate your words of encouragement!
Thanks for the info.. coming down in November and going to get the tumbler style..you mentioned something about the universal store to get them…I’m thinking I would probably have to go into the restroom to clean it before use as people may have handled it.. also going to see on Amazon about a carrier for it. So I can get a carabiner to carry it on my backpack
Haha we always choose a cup in the very back when buying a new one. They’ve always been super clean, though! We just slide ours into the drink pocket on the side of our backpack. Works like a charm!
It has less to do with the day of the week and more to do with the time of year. Obviously the weekends are generally busier than week days, but to get a better idea of crowds we recommend looking at the Orlando Informer crowd calendar!
Are there still Coke freestyle cups with handles available? On previous visits we used to clip the cup using the handle to the outside of are backpacks, but every cup I see in videos no longer has a handle on them?
I think they still sell those at some of the food/drink tents. I also feel like you can get the handle ones at the coke store past Springfield. We’ve definitely seen people in the parks with them, so we assume they still sell the ones with the handles.
There’s a chip in the bottom that they “activate”. Idk how it works beyond that, but there’s a sensor on the freestyle machines and unless your cup is activated it won’t let you get anything but water.
Hey, I know I am a year late to this video. I am planning a trip to Universal Orlando later this year and wondering if there is a list of options that the freestyle machines provide. More specifically I know some Freestyle machines started carrying Aha and want to know if Aha is available. Thanks
Update: we went Yesterday and still no Aha. But was really glad to see you could get water for free but unfortunately could not get ice. Keep up the great content
Hi @thepughtwo can you guys maybe make a video on scary rollercosters at islands of Adventure or universal studios And how to get over the fear of those coasters I’m not saying you have to just a video idea hope you like it.
A couple questions Can you get ice from the machines? If I was to buy multiple units for my family, can I apply the Annual pass discount as well , on top of the multiple units discount? After the first day for the $10.00 activation fee , can we use the annual pass discount for that? Thank you for all your videos

From getting the best deals to must do things around the parks. And Universal can thank you two for me upgrading from the value resort to the Hard Rock lol. Question about the icees. I was reading that only certain locations allow you to get icees in the freestyle cups...is it only the outdoor kiosks you mentioned or are there other locations that participate as well? Thanks again for your videos!!
Hey there! We are so excited that we have been a help to you! You are going to love the Hard Rock! So most of the icee machines are located outdoors! @@ThePughTwo I actually did think of another question. The nightime lights show at Hogwarts Castle, website says it starts at dusk and runs every 20 minutes until close. Oh no! You pay $17 ish for the cup and that includes the refills. Then, when you recharge it on additional days you only pay $10 for refills all day. And yes! You can bring your one cup to fill up with water free of charge!
We aren’t sure on the exact number but there is pretty much one in each land, if not two (except in the Harry Potter areas) you can also get them filled at any of the kiosk that have soda machines!
Hey great video love it very informative now my question to you guys I'm going to universal on Thursday with my family of 4 should I buy 2 separate meal so we can get 2 cups or if we buy the mill deal for the family of 4 will we just get one cup don't know if you understand what I'm trying to say let me know thank you
It sounds like you’re referring to the quick service dining plan that includes the freestyle cup? If so, those are individual so if you purchase it for four people, that would include 4 separate cups. When we go to the parks, we share a cup between the two of us just for ease. If you’re just purchasing the cups by themselves, we would recommend sharing to limit the number of cups you have to haul around with you. We hope this helps!
@@ThePughTwo You guys are right Thank you yea I would hate to carry four cups I will be at the park july 8 i hope it's a lite day anyway stay safe can't wait for your new video
Do any of the cups have handles or some way of clipping it to the outside of a bag so I don't have to carry it all day? We still bring ours from 2014 because it has a handle.
So the ones that they had the last time we were in the parks did not! But we are sure we've seen them somewhat recently (within the last year) so we arent sure how they rotate!
For the cups from previous years would you just pay the refill amount? I have a couple from like 3 years ago. Just wondering if they would still work? Thanks
@@nicolasasantos8574 We have used the cup over from our previous trip. As long as the chip still works they can just reset and charge you for the refill.

Thanks Craig! Yeah we couldn't believe they were an option our 2nd day of our first trip together! We saved hundred on that one trip! Thank you for watching!
My mom and I have reusable cups we fill with ice from the hotel and then refill from the water fountains around the parks. I know some might be meh about tap water but we have no problem with it. Plus we have had the same issue with water in the machines. The one by the mystic fountain didn't have just plain water. They had the flavor or sparkling water and they have the fake sugar. I've only used mine on long days or days I know we are going to have multiple meals. Also, you either got lucky or I am unlucky. The lid on my freestyle cup leaks. I keep mine in a holder and as I'm walking it will splash up and out the breather hole and get everywhere!!!
Haha we definitely wouldn’t put much trust into the seal on that lid! Our tumbler style cup as leaked onto our backpack, so we know the feeling. You just have to figure out what works for you!
Just found your channel and LOVE your content! Question about the fanny pack/bum bag. Are you able to wear it on rides? Does it have to be around your waist or can it be put crossbody? I heard you can wear one on most of the rides, but can't find any more detail about max dimensions, if it can have a water bottle attached, etc. Thanks! :-)
As far as we know there aren’t any size limitations with the fanny packs. The one we have is pretty big and we’ve never had an issue. We’re not sure about how you wear it. On rides that it would interfere with the restraint, they might make you move it to your waist but we’re not 100% sure. Also, Universal does require it to be a 3 prong closure on the bag, which just means the closure has 3 pieces sticking out instead of 2. As far as rides, you have to take it off for Hulk, Velocicoaster, and Rip Ride. The rest of them you can take the fanny pack on. They’re sometimes weird about MIB, but we haven’t had any issues lately.
Just returned from a 4 day trip and I also can confirm as long as it gets the restraint bar on and keeps you safe along with being 3 prong, your good to go. Even if they say something to you, it'll just be to turn it to your side. Had to do that on gringotts cause the seats are awkward shape and of course hulk velocicoaster and rip ride are nothing on you, even hats go in your shirt or attached to something cause you WILL lose it. Also, freestyles will give you water even if the machine says your out for the day. Had lemonade mio bottle in my pack and just used that on day 4 and turned out great. Had a great trip and want to go back asap...👌
Love your videos. I'm planning a family trip Dec. You are my go to for planning. One question: you mentioned the free style cups are cheaper if you buy multiples. I will need six. Love this idea and I didn’t even know there were refillable tumblers in the parks for sale. I love LMNT electrolytes (which are great for days you are walking and sweating a lot) so I’ll bring those and add them to my water!
Hi Anna & Tyler! Great tips on how to use the Freestyle cups and how they work in the parks. Ken.
Thank you, Ken! We love a good refillable cup!
@@ThePughTwo yes you do!!!!!
Any update on the freestyle cup holder options?
They actually have released a few seasonal cup holders! They're like a crossbody bag, but instead of a purse, it's just a pouch for your cup!
@@ThePughTwo thank you so much!!!! Me and my fiancé are definitely gonna use this too to save some money
I have my cups from like 4 years ago and it has saved us money. They accept old cups too. Love your content.
That’s good to know! We kind of collect them at this point, so we don’t test our old ones 😂😂
Thanks for the tips about the Freestyle cups!
Absolutely! They’re such a great deal!
Jajaja... Su encuesta me hizo buscar este video. Los quiero todos!!!

Great video. We have used the same 2 cups since 2014 and just pay for refills during our visits to save money.
Thats awesome! Like we said in the video, we are very bad about "forgetting" ours and just buying a new one lol!
If you get water, do you have to wait the 10 minutes to refill? Thinking it would be nice to drink some water real quick then switch back to something delicious.
Not with water! There’s no time limit there.
Great video!! Thanks for sharing so valuable information 😄👍🏻
Thank you so much for watching! So
Happy that it helped!
Is the classic souvenir cup still available? How does that compare with the freestyle refill cup?
We aren’t sure exactly what you are referring to with the classic souvenir cup. We know that some older freestyle cups still work!
Just stumbled upon your vlog...thank you for all the good information
Thanks Jennifer! We hope you enjoy the channel! If you ever have questions please feel free to reach out!
Can you bring the cups on the ride if you’re not planning to get a locker
This is a great idea! We’ll add that to our list! Thank you for the feedback, we love knowing our videos are helpful!
If you stay at hard rock they deliver souvenirs to your room if you want. I know they did it for my family 3-4 years ago
@@McGuirkEats yes! During COVID, you had to actually pick it up at the front desk, but we assume it will be returning to normal soon if it hasn’t already.

If you look at the menu on the Freestyle machine and see “water” as a separate selection, you can fill anything including empty water bottles 😉. If you don’t see the “water” option, you need a Freestyle cup.
@@bubbleheadray976 oh, that’s good to know! Thank you!
Hey!! I love the way how you both explain everything in detail.
I have one question..Is it enough to keep a card with us to purchase food or anything else during our visit to theme parks?
Do we have to carry cash?
We never take enough cash to pay for stuff, just for tipping! A card is really all you need!
Question: can you use the coke freestyle cups from studios/islands at volcano bay?
Yes, as far as we know the cups will work at all three parks. We’ve never tested this ourselves, so we would suggest calling/texting Universal to double check.

Are there plenty of free water options?
We don't drink soda

Do the traditional/ cheaper freestyle cup have straws?
They don’t! There used to be a version of the cup that did come with a straw, but they’ve gone away from those for whatever reason.

Very helpful video. Thank you. Where in Citywalk is the freestyle machine located?
It’s right in between the Universal store and Vivo and Cowfish!

Thanks for going over this. Looks like I was not the only one wanting the details.
Where's a secluded machine in Islands?
There’s one in the back of the diner in marvel island that gets overlooked. Not cafe 4, but the diner across from Spider-Man.
The captain america cafe is a great one to stop at and gets overlooked every time. We say there for 30 mins just to cool off and rehydrate and there was never a line. Probably says alot about the cafe but oh well.....🤷

I haven't gone to Universal since I was 9. So I don't remember much. Also idk if yall made a video about this but how is the bathroom situation? I have quite a bit of medical issues that require me to be aware of where the nearest bathroom is and how bad the lines are?
We haven't done a video of that nature, however thats a good idea! As far as the bathroom situation goes, we have never really had a problem. Your comment sparked a conversation between us and neither of us can ever recall having to wait for a stall/urinal in our entire time going to Universal! Hope this helps!
@Andrea Chung The Universal app has a button that shows where all the bathrooms are. 😃
Is the water in the freestyle machines bottled water or tap water ?
Tap, but I think it’s filtered!
Can you use the coke Freestyle cup at Volcano Bay?
Yea you can!

Yes to both!! It should work for several years actually! We have a tumbler from 2016 that still works when we take it!
You guys do a really great job in all your videos! I was wondering if you guys could show us around the resorts you stay at when you go? Ik a lot of other people do those types of videos but some of them are hard to get through and don’t give as much information as you guys!

What day of the week do you go? What would you recommend for less people. I went on Monday and Tuesday. 21st and 22nd of June

Ok so how does the Kiosk know that your cup is active? How does that process work? You really didn't go over that.
There’s a chip in the bottom that they “activate”. Idk how it works beyond that, but there’s a sensor on the freestyle machines and unless your cup is activated it won’t let you get anything but water.

They do an okay job with keeping the drinks cold. Nothing crazy, but they do the trick
The Freestyle cups are yet another reason why Universal is better than Disney at the moment!
We can’t believe Disney doesn’t have something similar!

Yes in several of the machines, sparkling water was an option the last time we were in the parks!
Guys, I'm loving all of your content!
This might be a weird question..I plan on only bringing a fanny pack to universal, does that mean I have to hold the cup in my hand all day? Or, can you get some kind of strap/holder?
Thank you so much! We have seen people who have holders for them and find ways to attach them to Fanny packs!
If you are between refills can you still get a plain water refill? Or does refilling with water count as a refill?

Oh no! You pay $17 ish for the cup and that includes the refills. Then, when you recharge it on additional days you only pay $10 for refills all day. And yes! You can bring your one cup to fill up with water free of charge!
How many refill stations in each park?
We aren’t sure on the exact number but there is pretty much one in each land, if not two (except in the Harry Potter areas) you can also get them filled at any of the kiosk that have soda machines!

Do you know if the price per changes with this number and what it might be?
