If you’re looking for non-scary Halloween fun, I definitely recommend going to a pumpkin patch! Especially if you can find one with a corn maze and/or hayrides. A lot of them will be more “family friendly” during the day and horror/scare focused at night (at least in my experience), so there’s fun for everyone regardless of what your favorite way to celebrate Halloween is😊 You can also get pumpkins to carve there!
Exactly what I was gonna say! Aldo if you want to experience having kids come get candy, in some places, you can find carnivals with booths that let trick or treaters come get candy OR look for a Trunk Or Treat Function where people decorate trunk of car or bed of truck and kids come trick or treating!
Oh !!! Yesss and Decorate. Maybe have a small party in the neighborhood and have an adult beverage cauldron punch!
Some favorite fall/Halloween activities are going to pumpkin patches, doing a corn maze, and going on a hay ride. A favorite treat you can usually find at these places is apple cider doughnuts. They are really good.

I always enjoy hearing another Nordic person talking about how much they hate winter because I often feel like I'm the only one 😂 I HATE snow and ice and being cold and having to put on a million layers just to go outside. Everyone else complains about the summer and the heat while I'm happy as a cat napping in a sunbeam ❤

I'm in the very south of Sweden and winters are not as bad here as they are in the north ..but you know what..I still hate them! Luckily I'm heading to Spain tomorrow for some extended summer❤🌞🌞 Thanks for a great video 👍🏽

If you wind-up hating the candy corn you could alway put it in a glass jar for fall decor 💁♀️ it doesnt really go bad the same way other candy does so I'll last the season

Who does the artwork at Oden's Eye? Because it's really always stunning, it really has an identity, that Norse mythology Oden's Eye identity. The representation of Hela (whom I had never heard of before last year, so thank you for enlighting me😉) is now so iconic, worthy of a fine tattoo. It scares me to "death" (no pun intended 😁) yet I find it beautiful. I love the symbolism, the métaphore, it's a beautiful piece of art. Shout out to the artist(s) 🎨 🖌 💖

I think you have mentioned before donating some makeup to a local charity geared toward LGBTQIA kids. That might be a good resource for a fun Halloween experience. The makeup artistry that shows up on teen faces during Halloween is really a joy to see.

I'm a ballet teacher in Malmö and Halloween is just becoming big with children, schools here are calling it Höstfest. Last year I had them coming to ballet in costume without even asking... A 6 yo from a very religious and modest family came in black, dark circles under her eyes and her mother even bought a red lipstick to fake blood dripping from the kid's mouth. 😂
As an adult every house I’ve lived in I never get trick-or-treaters. now my husband and I go Halloween camping so that we can hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters and I still get that experience. You could look for a trunk or treat in your area and sign up to be one of the vehicles. Definitely need to watch nightmare before Christmas. Best Halloween movie ever.
Some movies to watch for Halloween are The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, Coraline and The Haunted Mansion! I don’t like scary movies but these were all made for kids so perfect if you don’t like jump scares 😄👻 Also I’m Mexican so I love to watch Coco for Día de los Muertos 💀💐

I really like your spooky packaging for the collection. I don’t see it as American cute Halloween but a mythical colorful Samhain spooky collection. It blends your perspectives of Halloween I think, colorful and delightful, and dark at the same time.

My husband and I like to go to our zoo for Halloween, because they have a special trail set up during October with thousands of carved pumpkins, based on a specific theme with music playing and lights. I wonder if Austin might have something like that? You can definitely carve a pumpkin! It's a fun thing to do

I live in Finland and didn't even know about Halloween as a kid. (I am 42) My daughter on the other hand loves Halloween and it is a pretty big thing for kids these days. My daughter plans her costume two months ahead. This year she will be her favorite character in a video game. So nothing scary. She has been going on a trick-or-treat round every year. She is 12 now. (But already a teen in every aspect.) Because of her, I have been carving pumpkins and it is a lot easier than I thought!

As a fellow European that never had Halloween as a kid I understand you completely, I have a kid and so I got to live the atmosphere a little more but not so much. In Italy we have Carnevale where kid dress up so Halloween is more a teenager/young adult thing to do (a mash up of gore&sexy)

Maybe look up if there are any “trunk or treating” in your area. Participants decorate the trunk of the car in Halloween decor. And you pass out candy to all the kids. Around here they are usually held in a church parking lot and anyone in the Community is invited. This way you could pass out candy and see all the kids dressed up so cute.
Too bad the passion of a thousand suns can’t actually keep you warm during the winter 😂😂 how amazing would that be?

Such a fun look - it makes me so excited to get my bundle! Also we love when a look makes us feel ourselves! I also prefer the non-scary parts of Halloween, some movies I love during spooky season are the Hotel Transylvania ones, the Scooby Doo movies, Ghostbusters, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Spirited Away, Beetlejuice - more fun than scary. I love a corn maze during fall/spooky season you can usually find kid friendly ones that are less jump scare more fun. My mom always made witch finger cookies so tasty and kind of fun!
I enjoy going to the TX Renaissance Festival for Halloween it’s just fascinating seeing everyone & just something fun & different - plus I’m always down for their fresh Kettle corn! The day ends with a firework display which I always enjoy. I highly recommend going if not just to experience it while you’re here in TX. Just make sure you wear comfy shoes & possibly a sweater/umbrella.
You’re such a beautiful person, inside and out, and it’s a privilege to be able to listen to you talk about makeup and share your creations with us. I’ve seen some of the rude comments about how people were annoyed you were chosen to do a Halloween collab but I personally think you’re a great choice. Maybe you’re new to Halloween, but the Hela concept makes sense for the holiday and in my opinion it’s a fresh take on the spooky season, so they can F off honestly. (Omg I’m blocked on IG by a certain new makeup account I won’t name, but I saw her rude comments too! Like she needs to stop)
Also, you’re a great choice because you just know what colors look good together! Not every Halloween collab has to just be blacks, oranges, greens and purples or made with someone who has celebrated Halloween their whole lives. You proved that! I think people are just bitter all the time, so I hope you don’t let that get to you. Most of us are really excited about the collab. You shouldn’t have to explain all this for a second time!

Ugh, me too! I'm a huge horror fan and I absolutely hate jump scares. They're not scary in the right way, just startling, cheap and annoying. Give me an unsettling atmosphere of slowly creeping dread where you can feel something is just slightly off and wrong but you can't quite pinpoint what at first, that's the sort of horror I eat up like candy, not the *SUDDEN LOUD NOISE* garbage that is most mainstream horror.
For adult Halloween: I recommend pumpkin patches to pick a pumpkin. Then definitely carve it! I think it’s fun, it does take a few hours. Don’t try to do anything super difficult. Cleaning out all the seeds from the inside will help with mold growth. There are ways to make it last longer, including bleaching the inside. Give it a google. It’s not going to last longer than a few days otherwise. 🎉🎉❤
Campfires and hot apple cider. And apple cider donuts! I agree on the pumpkin patch with hay rides and a corn maze. Carving pumpkins is fun, it does take some time and very messy LOL. And they only last a few days, a week tops. But you could then make some roasted pumpkin seeds.
I'm so happy that Halloween is being brought over from the US, early autumn is my favorite time of the year and I live for all the spooky, witchy vibes. It's by far the best holiday if you ask me and I'm so sad i didn't get to grow up with it 😥
There are Halloween dog parades where I live (near Chicago). You could enter your pets or just watch. I watched a dog parade years ago and really enjoyed it, and I'm a cat person.
There are often Halloween parades that are, for the majority, for kids. You get to see the cute costumes and don’t need to share your own candy! Sounds perfect!
I have a son and we enjoy Halloween but I do not enjoy walking the neighborhoods at night since its just me and him. So I look for truck or treats to take him too. They are usually at churches or schools. It's where ppl open the truck of there car decorate it with different Halloween themes and then had out candy to kids. I feel much safer going to these types of events. Usually it's a lot of families there and often there are games and other things for the kids to do as well as trick or treat for candy You could see about volunteering at an event local to you. You would get to decorate your car and get to hand out candy to kids. If that's something you would be interested in doing.

So happy your dog is doing better! Carving a pumpkin is fun! I recommend using newspaper, trash bags to collect the “guts” of the pumpkin. It can be messy. You can be very creative carving your pumpkin. I’m basic with making a jack o lantern. Also put a small candle in the pumpkin to glow! 🎃

I normally just have friends over in Ireland play Halloween music so many find memories bobbing for apples and doing the traditional games dressing up in bin bags as witch in the 80’s we didn’t buy costumes we made them from bin bags lol
My fav Holiday is Halloween and Christmas. What me and my Partner do is buy a ton of candy bars (hmmmm Coffe Crisp 🤤) and other things. I grab a bag and I play Trick or Treat asking for good girl candy! 😂😂 We end up getting so much. 😂❤😊 I put my Halloween PJs and slippers and watch all the "Halloween" movies. Mike is creepy! I love my thrillers like the SAW movies. Then, have fun with Hocus Pokus, Witches of Eastwick, Halloween Town, and Charlie Browns The Great Pumpkin. Oh, and Nightmare Before Christmas! This is Halloween. This is Halloween....😂😂❤😊

Yesssss! Carving pumpkins is so fun! 🎃💜 It gets messy, which can be annoying, but it's not so bad that it isn't worth it for me. My best tip is to tape a large trash bag to your carving surface and try to keep all the mess contained on there. Also have a smaller trash bag ready to go in front of you for all the pumpkin guts - it makes clean up much easier. And don't forget to get little tealight candles to display your masterpiece! I had Little Ghost in my cart, went to answer the door, came back to input my credit card info and it had been snatched right out of my cart. Then it was sold out. I guess someone got their info in before me. Not happy at all!! This would have been my first high end palette and I was so looking forward to it. Guess it wasn't meant to be. Bummer...😥

I dont think theres a “right” way to celebrate halloween because is not like a religious or traditional holiday.
I see it as the day of the year where you can be whoever you feel to be that year and dont be judge for it. Its about having fun and be Madona and do a concert on your garage with your friends or be casper and dance with kat on a espuma (foam) party on your living room. Is just about having fun and be wich ever you feel like dressing up that year. I do recommend Ichabod and Mr Frog movie from dysney plus is hilarious and educative and is a halloween season cartoon short movie.

I am so excited for your excitement over Halloween! Yes, carve a pumpkin! It can be a bit challenging. The plastic tools never work for me. A serrated knife (or two) and a drill are my best pumpkin carving tools. My fav parts are costumes! I love dressing up. There may be halloween costume parties you can go to! There are often lots of events involving dressing up and dancing for halloween.
I am sad there are no kids to trik 'r treat. That can be fun to see all the kids. Have you ever though about being a Big Sister? Then you could have a kid to trick 'r treat with. They usually ask for an 8 hour per month commitment. Or maybe there is a community org you could volunteer with that does events for kids. To be honest, the joy of the kids is half the fun for me. Some years people will have candy for the kids and then shots for the adults. At least I have experienced that pre-c0vid. All this if you like kids. I honest can't remember if you do. I know some folks don't.

Our favorite after Halloween activity is the pumpkin launch. People bring the pumpkins they no longer need and theres a catapult that launches them.
There are usually some fun runs around this time where the runners are in costume which can be entertaining.

My husband and I don't have kids over for halloween (we live on an acreage far away from town) so we decorate with pumpkins and ghosts, turn on the fire place, make hot chocolate and watch our fav scary movies. Not gonna lie, my first thought when this collab was announced is how often you’ve said you’re not that in to Halloween but I think it’s cool that you’re dipping your toes into such a popular cultural thing in the U.S. now that you’re here. I bought the full collection… so excited as the only other Oden’s Eye palettes that I’ve gotten are their Christmas palettes and they are phenomenal. I have to admit, with your collab, packaging artwork was what sold me before you even showed the shadows. 😂

The collection was beautiful and am glad I picked it up. The trick or treat is more me than Ghost, but our college team is the first 2 colors of Ghost, and we dress at work for the games fairly often, so it was perfect, and I couldn't resist. I'm still trying to figure out blue eyeshadow on blue eyes. Glad Tesla is feeling better.

Pumpkin carving is satisfying after the fact, but it is messy and hurts your arms a little and the carved pumpkins only last a few days here in Texas. So, if you want to carve one I would do it on Halloween or the day before. I like to roast the pumpkin seeds to add to the experience by getting a snack out of it lol.
Hocus Pocus is my favorite cutesy Halloween movie, but a few suggestions, some more family-friendly than others: Nightmare Before Christmas, Casper, Coraline, Corpse Bride, Practical Magic, Wendell & Wild, The Addams Family (1991, I think), The Little Vampire, What We Do In The Shadows (movie and TV show- bloody but not too scary, very hilarious).
Carve a pumpkin!!! My boyfriend and I do it every year it’s so fun… they last about 2 weeks. Take Vaseline and rub it over where you’ve cut your pumpkin and it’ll help it last longer!

Monster House is a good movie. Not sure if it's actually Halloween or not though. Charlie Brown & The Great Pumpkin is a classic must watch every year!
I enjoy carving pumpkins. After carved, spray with vinegar. Since Texas is hot like Georgia, the pumpkin should last a week or two if sprayed.
Also, a cute Halloween movie series to watch on Disney+ is Halloweentown.
I like going to orchards for kind of a Fall - Halloween fun activity. And I make arrangements with mums.
Non spooky Halloween Ideas:
-Going to apple orchards
-Going to pumpkin patches to pick out a pumpkin to carve while watching non spooky movies like Hocus Pocus or The Nightmare Before Christmas or Coraline
-Dressing up in costume/face paint and go on a Pub Crawl with hubby/friends
-Most zoos decorate for Halloween and have night viewings
-Painting with a twist

Candy corn - yes, you should try it. I’m one of the few that like it. I know Walmart does have smaller bags, 396 grams. I may I suggest Brach’s Mellowcreme Autumn Mix. Brach’s brand is the best, trust me! It has both Candy Corn & Indian Corn, and the Indian Corn has a chocolate taste to me. 😋
