    I just traded in my old amp cobra irons for the 2023 cobra aerojet irons.Very nice...they key is not to force the irons , just make solid contact!!Lovely irons!!

    Glad you got Cobra(and Cleveland) agreements. Two excellent and underrated brands. Can't wait for more reviews of these brands, especially the T-Rail and Launcher Halo irons.

    I have the Cobra Radspeed one-length irons (two generations ago, 27.5* 7-iron), and they are the best irons I have ever had. I have no gapping issues with the One-length. Nice review, thanks.

    While I'm sure that the Aerojets would be a better fit for me than my current 2020 Forged Tec irons, I just can't deal with the badging inside of most game improvement irons or even some of the players cavity backs. That being said, I really miss my old Amp Forged irons.

    I just traded my TaylorMade stealth irons off on a set of these, it feels like cheating using these things. I love em. Played 54 holes last weekend on a bachelor party and was so happy using these things. The stealths were just not working for me. Weird offset or something

    got a set of these with Kbs tour 90g steel shaft as I'm a sub 70 swing speed due to shoulder injury and arthritis, 55 years old, finding them only ok, thinking of getting lofts changed if possible, do you think this would help ? or should I try trade and look at something else? appreciate any advice, thanks greetings from Ireland

    Comparing your skills with my skills by trying to understand How well the review translate to a not that good player like me… A good idea might be to add a component? Bring a mid-high hcp player as well into the test?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting comparison and actually difficult to pick a winner out of the two. Performance etc are near on identical. Personally it may come down to whether you can get either one in your specific custom fit specification and then which one is lighter on the wallet 👍🏻👍🏻

  • @jerrysmiley1084

    I wonder what they would do with standard lofts?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For a golfer with speed it would mean they would go higher and stop quicker but with less Carry distance. For the slower swinger especially sub 70mph swingers it would actually increase carry due to the added loft. Different golfers suit different equipment, I guess thats why they don't make an all in one design.... 👍

  • @atfinthehouse8631
    @atfinthehouse8631 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is the purpose between player, tour and the rest of the normal people who enjoy playing golf.
    Why would pros not use the same ones as the normal golfer?
    What’s the difference in these different “labeled” clubs.

  • @erock1070
    @erock1070 ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem with strong lofts is I wish they would also make the lengths longer too. This way a 7i just becomes a 6i. But when they still make the 7i 37” long it doesn’t work well for a slower swinger like me who carries a 7i 140. Now we just get a 145 yd 7i and a 6i that goes 150 and rolls forever.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely correct and spot on. That's why the High Launch heads have done so well this year. These can be adjusted a little to suit but the golfers with low and also high swing speeds will potentially have to either retro spec the lofts of choose an iron with a preferable static loft 👍

  • @legend9018
    @legend9018 ปีที่แล้ว

    It’s a little disturbing that at your speed you still only managed that type of peak height and descent angle don’t you think 😬(except for those low strikes). I imagine at a slower speed those iron shots aren’t holding greens 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • @sloswingspeed9535
    @sloswingspeed9535 ปีที่แล้ว

    ~~2.0 yds per 7i mph is a good shaft fit. Per prior Tman Tour data.

    • @zazhou
      @zazhou ปีที่แล้ว

      Good metric. In addition, golfers should be focusing on another important metric viz. the rollout percentage to carry distance and not be overly fixated on total distance.

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree 100%. Carry distance, peak height and descent angle are the clear winners when it comes to functional flight of the irons. Too many people focus on total distance as the metric for sales when all this leads to is poor control into the greens. 👍

    • @sloswingspeed9535
      @sloswingspeed9535 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely !…Shaft technology continues to change rapidly and softening of some flexes plus ’ labeling’ as well as weight tolerances, have been modified. When I see a TT shaft drawing indicate weight tolerance of +/- 4g, my antennas go up (**).

    It’s a 6i lofted 7i 😂

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well being honest to my set at least, it's a 5 iron 😊 although this 7i at this loft is more usable than my 5i for being able to move the peak heights about. Personally I can really see why someone would use a 7 iron in this type of iron for replacing their longer blade style irons. It's just easier to hit and maneuver 👍

      I thought the same thing, but then I thought why not get the best iron for me. most forgiving / most distance / most stopping power. My handicap went down almost 3 strokes to an 8 .... don't care what anyone else thinks because my scores are lower.
