- I always loved decorating my spaces, especially my dorm room! So of course, becoming a mom, I knew it’d be such a joy to create spaces for the boys and I’m over the moon. They love their playroom and seeing them enjoy it is all the satisfaction I need. I put a lot of love into it!

This room has a basic foundation of natural wood furniture. I love to include color through their decor, books, toys and for the biggest pop of color, I went with this green locker. I do believe in incorporating color. But understand that brights and primary arent the only colors. They are in this room but just not plastered everywhere like a preschool classroom. This is our home and when I think of home, I think “cozy, relaxing” so I wanted to consider that aspect while still making it a fun environment for toddlers.

I love the color you used on the wall! Could you paste a link to the color? I've tried searching desert sand on SW's website and all I come up with is an exterior stain color.

Such a nice playroom!! Definitely gave me some ideas for the kids room!! I have a small car would the boxes for the storage shelves fit in there? I want to buy two but I have to travel an 2 hours to ikea so want to make sure it would fit in my car!

How old were the boys when you started to work on the playroom? And how long did it take to get it done?
Thank you! I know he’ll love it! My oldest always had a designated play space but at around a 12m, I decided to just scrap the office and do a playroom in the old house and never looked back. It changed about 5 times until I was okay with it.
We just moved to this house in October and it only took me a couple of weeks! But only because I obsessed with IG inspiration and knew exactly what I wanted. Sadly, we’ll be moving this summer so this playroom will be short lived 😅

Aesthetically beautiful, for kids tho not so much, kids love colour this is sad beige 😢
Someone made up this “sad beige” concept and of course everyone is going to take it run with it. This actually isn’t sad beige, the information is in the description box. All children are different and this non overstimulated environment works for my littles very well, while still being able to expose them to an array of colors through books, toys, decor and a big green locker. My children love this room, there’s no child color rule book in my “opinion”.
