I don't have children but still wanted to see this. I'm so glad I did because the first spot with your daughter wearing the eating art smock is absolutely adorable! All that wavey hair. They're both beautiful and I think you MUST be a great mom. Thank you for sharing all that you do.
Were you a teacher in a previous life?! Everything you do for your children is very teacheresque and I LIVE for it. I was a preschool teacher, so I love that you rotate their toys, display books, frame artwork, allow them to be part of your grown up life and so much more. If you haven’t heard this today, you are an amazing Mama. ❤️
The tablet holder is also great when kids start drawing pictures from books or instructions printed from online. We use it to hold open instructional drawing books or other sketches so it's easy to see the directions and copy the pictures. It was awesome when the kiddo was into comics and graphic novels because she could hold up the last page she drew while working on the next one.
I need the traveling art case for myself! I always journal on the bed or on the couch! The cubes you have in that room since I no longer have little kids 😭 I would use for books and plants and that bench seat would be a great place to have a coffee and read (esp if I had windows like you). One could even get a second bench portion and place it directly in front of the other to make it double the width, the bench would be great for a snuggle, a pet, or stretching out more and the extra deep cubbies could hold over flow items! I think we all forget that kids things can be for adults and adult things can be for kids! We get stuck in this box of using things based on what they're named instead of being creative with it all!
My children are all grown but I have grand children that I can spoil now. You just gave me several ideas for Xmas gifts. Your babies are so precious. I love Finley’s hair, it reminds me of my youngest when she was small. You videos always make me smile. 😊
After my kids aged out of having lots of toys in their rooms I moved our cubes to a spare room and use them to organize their sports uniforms. I have 3 kids that do multiple sports each for travel and school. Plus PE uniforms. Each kid has an assigned color and after a game or practice they wash and return the full uniform to a bin. Now the stress of finding all the uniform peices is (mostly) gone they are still teenagers after all. Monday morning they grab a PE uniform and off to school they go.
I never really comment on videos so it’s funny that I actually looked around to try to figure out how to do this just to tell you this. That’s how much I love u! Your videos are so inspiring. They always get me going when I don’t have enough fuel to continue to do better every day in my life like I want to. Thank you for the videos. Please keep them up! You make my life happy :D
I had “backpacks” when my kids were young (30 and 28 currently) and they had a velcro white board and a zipper section to hold crayons and coloring books and paper. It was a travel lifesaver.
I'm so glad you made this video, I was just about to redo my boy's room and I so wanted to know where you got those cool shelves for toys. And that travel drawing kit is perfect for road trips. Also those frames will make their little hearts so happy with it hanging in their room. Thanks a ton, I definitely gotta go to IKEA.
The kallax is so versitile, I love it. And I looooove the IKEA childrens`department, even before I had a kid 😂. Thank you for sharing those cute fotomoments with your kids. Always happy to see a video of yours. Love from Spain 😘
My mother had a ‘craft’ table that we used, it was an older style school desk. A wardrobe hanging rail attached to one end allowed the rolls of newspaper (small local paper self printed) to be used both as a drawing surface but could also be used to protect the desk surface for other crafts such as paint or glue.
I use that cube system from amazon. We bought colorful soft bins with handles. I bought 2 sets of 9 cubes and have side by side like one huge system in my daughters closet with closet doors removed. She keeps her stuffed animals in them😊
I LOVE this video!! Thanks 🙏🏻 I also LOVE their hooded towels. My twins are 5 now and they still use them. I thought they were more absorbent than say the Batman or princess ones. Plus they look better hanging in our one bathroom small home instead of bright colorful character hooded towels.
Definitely getting that travel art case for the car!!! Your play corner is super cute, I aspire to have mine as organized… my problem: I can’t figure out the toy rotation or to actually keep it rotating!
Some of these items - paper roll and similar shelving system as well as a large Wooden IKEA coffee table with 6 kids’ chairs for art projects and as kids table at dinner parties were my go to 30(!) years ago.
Loooove. Feel like most of the times I watch any Ikea recommendations it's nothing new but pretty much every product here I'm interested in now because of you
Cute ideas! Maybe put the paper horizontally (on that bench or a table) so it doesn't unroll by itself, and kids don't color off the edge onto the wall.
I have one from Bunnings (Don't know if bunnings is a thing in America.) I use it for my daughters toys too and label some draws and do a clean out every few months of things she hasn't touched.
ummm.... ngl, next time I'm there I''m grabbing one of those red art sets for myself. I hate being in the car and not having a surface to write on. That will fit so perfect in the side pocket and I can keep some pens inside it!
IKEA has been a game hanger for me. It’s annoying that IKEA has this reputation for being cheap but the quality is really great for the price. I just built a KALLAX unit for my husband this week and it looks amazing! Do you happen to know if there’s a weight max for using the KALLAX 1x4 you have described as a bench?
Kids might not stay on the paper with it on the wall you might want to put something to protect the wall from any slips of crayon going over the edge of the paper.
I was gonna buy all of them but then I remembered a good advise from somebody: declutter! Don't bring stuff to the house t If you have no room for it, so....
While I absolutely appreciate the content I have to wonder if I have a different definition of “hacks”. These are basically just things you can buy and use them as they are intended. It’s like “I have a great grocery shopping hack! Buy a car so you don’t have to carry everything”
IKEA products are mentioned so often on home improvement, storage, furniture dupe videos! There is not an IKEA store in my state! I know I would be addicted if I ever had one near by! Boo- hoo!
The cheapist way is to buy a wallpaper roll as to an odd role in the store that is sold off cheaply, you just use the back of the roll, kids don't care it's not brilliant white
Just fyi: this channel has one of the shortest intros. I skip other ones that have, for example, the same collage of pics of the boogie creator, flashing up in the screen 5 times- 3 times just so u stare at the pics and 2 times with messages like subscribe yay or whatnot. That is truly annoying... Believe me this intro is not too bad.
@@lh485 yea but how many times can you stand to hear that jingle over the exact same clip of a white girl dancing. Don’t pretend you don’t skip it. So cringe

She does a lot of Montessori style things for her kiddos 🥰
She was a teacher!!! 😊
@@nyhauteweek well that explains it!
Kal, I’m kinda new and obsessed with you! Lol can you tell me how to go all the way back to ur first video right to the latest!! TY love xo
What is Montessori? TY

That red travel desk is the best! I’ve taken it on every trip for the last year.
Your babies are adorable! And yes, love Ikea for organization ideas!
Can you share a link for the Kallax cushion please. Love that idea

My kids are older, but I see a "But first, coffee" video I click play 👍
I love your videos even though i live alone and have no children. Love the bench/window seat idea!
I just love your area rug choices! I was inspired to copy you with a geo print rug and I am loving the look.

The travel lap desk is so awesome and how did I not know Ikea has TOYS?! Time to take a trip to Ikea (or at least the website)!
IKEA is one of my favorite places to shop!
Great ideas for grandkids also.

Can you provide a link for the Kallax cube bench cushion? I searched IKEA and couldn't find it. Thanks!
I love the paper idea. I'm going to hide it behind the chair in the playroom so I can just move the chair.
...pause...your daughter's hair is THE BEST!! :-)
Can you please tell us where to get the cushion for the kallax bench?
Came here to ask the same thing!!
Same! Can't find it on their website.
Soo cutey, please do more videos on how to get cooking n cleaning with small babies n how to balance n get rest etc
Link to cushion for Kallax 1x4 shelf please
Hi, where did you buy the cushion for this Kallax shelf please? I want to do simulator set up but can find it at ikea.
The art smock 🤯
Love this! Now I have to go shopping at ikea lol 😂
Cute ideas! Maybe put the paper horizontally (on that bench or a table) so it doesn't unroll by itself, and kids don't color off the edge onto the wall.
Ahh Ikea, the shop you always buy more than you want 😆
Where can I find the bench pad for the sideways cubby?
Edit- never mind, I found it on Amazon!
@2:40 CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!!!!! 🥰
Where can I get the cushions for the kallax unit to make it a bench?
I have one from Bunnings (Don't know if bunnings is a thing in America.) I use it for my daughters toys too and label some draws and do a clean out every few months of things she hasn't touched.
Who. i love the play kitchen set
Where did you say the cushion for the bench was from?
☝️ curious for one too. Is this an ikea cushion?

Those are awesome hacks I didn’t know they had kids aprons
Great Ikea Ideas!! Thnx!
On the first hack, i just saw the same type of stand but plastic, at the dollar tree 💚
LOL I don't know how many times I've said "I forgot had this".
I am subscribed and not tii past 11:35 pm. On the 29th of July, 2022.
Lol I thought kalicks system was going to be a play on your name! Like you made it up! Lol
What do you do with their endless supply of artwork? My kids art really piles up.
Love it 💕
Does ikea sell the cushings to the kallax bench ?
I wish I lived closer to ikea
I love IKEA, but the closest one is 3 hrs away. That may be a good thing. 😂
Online
Yes, but their shipping is pretty steep. There’s also no point at which shipping is free.
Mine is 45 min away and I still have only ever been once
Kids might not stay on the paper with it on the wall you might want to put something to protect the wall from any slips of crayon going over the edge of the paper.
🙌
I wish ikeas shipping costs didn’t suck so much!
I was gonna buy all of them but then I remembered a good advise from somebody: declutter! Don't bring stuff to the house t
If you have no room for it, so....
Paper roll seems like it's too close to stove... hopefully it's not a gas stove
It's a kids play stove... Hopefully no heat/fire involved there.
It's a kid's stove so no power or gas
😂good one!
🌈💚🍀
Callie. Come visit and we will sail.

A play room????? How does everyone have such big houses???? People who live in a 2 rooms flat have no play room or anything like that...
