Here's a couple questions for your mother! I think the video idea is great. What do you hope you had learned at a younger age? Do you have any childhood memories you would like to share? What life wisdoms would you like to give your children and grandchildren and people watching?
Ask your mom what her favourite invention has been over her lifetime. My grandmother is in her 90’s and I often think about how much change she has seen over the years.
I am recovering from a liver transplant and have been filled with anxiety about the whole process. I came across your ASMR videos searching for a way to relax without medication. I have to tell you that the videos have been a tremendous source of relaxation. Thank you!
Thank you for what you're doing! Your ASMR videos are on my short list of favorites. Your voice is immediately comforting, and your videos have a way of making me feel like everything is right in the world. I'm so glad I found your channel!
I dont have any question suggestions but I think its a good idea. I interviewed my grandma about her life a few years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. She passed away half a year later and I was the only family member who knew how granddad and her met, how her school life was, and how it was being a female business owner in the 1950s because no one had bothered to ask and document it. She might not be here anymore but I have hours of audio of her talking about her life and its very comforting.
I am always interested in what girls played at school. For example, did she and her playmates jump rope or play hopscotch or do hand clapping games? Cats cradle, marbles, tag, baseball and so on. Does she remember being in a school play? Did she go to a one-room schoolhouse and what was that like? Thank you.
Possible questions for GG: What is something you didn’t fully appreciate till you got older ? (My example is me going to Galveston island growing up, but not truly seeing how beautiful it was until years later. The way I know my mom did then.) What was your favorite color when you were younger and what is it now? What is a study in college you’d have liked to have studied? What perfume did you like when you were younger and what do you enjoy now? Btw, best of luck with this! Also, loved the idea of sharing with us the unpacking and repacking of everything. 😊
I have questions for Grandma G-Whats her favourite memory of You as a little girl? How did she feel become a mother without her own mother present, guiding her through it?
I would love to hear if your mother recalls her favorite meal/dish her mother or aunt made growing up! this is one of my favorite questions to ask people especially older generations, it always brings back fond memories of a special dish :)
Hello - you have shown a lovely photo before of when your mum was younger. It would be nice to see photos of her through different periods of her life and what her memories are of the time of those photos. Thank you
Ask her what it was like to deal with losing her mother at such a young age and how did she cope? Who were the influencers in her life after she lost her mom? Did she continue to keep a relationship with her dad after she went to live with her aunt? How did it affect her during those times when things were different when there was no counseling or anything you kind of just had to pick up and move on… How did she cope and how did she feel and how did it affect her? And her brother?
I was looking for the perfect daytime asmr video to watch while packing for a stay at my sister in law's, and I knew just the channel to come to for this! Low and behold you have this video related to that very activity. Thank you for your efforts in these videos and showing us pieces of your life, you're always so authentic to the process. Have a great day Jeannie! 💜

Hi Jeannie, lovely video 😄 thanks for the opportunity to ask your mum a few questions, I would love to ask her: How does she feel the world has changed during her life? What for the better, or worse? And in terms of 'the world', what does she think of as the most important historical or political event during her lifetime? And for her personally, what is the most fulfilling thing she's ever done? Look forward to seeing more of grandma D 😊 🌟
I don't have a question for your mother, but I thought I'd let you know that my mother didn't sound keen on making the Lyonerkuchen 🥺 this video was so relaxing though! X
I think the video interviewing your mom is a great idea! A couple of years back I read an article in my local paper about a woman interviewing older people in her town to keep their memory alive. She lived in a tiny town and she wanted the younger generation to know the history of the people that basically founded the town. I decided to do an audio interview with both of my parents. I asked them questions about their childhood up until the day I interviewed them. I then had each of my siblings, spouses and grand kids answer some questions about memories with my mom and dad. I gave everyone in my family a CD with my mom and dad's part and all of the children's memories. We have a lot of our family photos on DVD but they are just still pictures. I wanted a way to preserve their voices because I hear people say that forgetting the voice of a loved one that has passed is such a hard thing. I know you have talked about losing your brother at a young age and I would like to hear how your mom dealt with that as well as other hard situations that have come up in her life.💛💜💛
Amazing… yes, that’s called an Oral History. I used to work for an organisation that specialises in those and the audiovisual recording of interviews is essential to that as is archiving. The life stories of elders should be preserved as legacy and lessons for the future, so we never forget where we came from.
Questions for your mom; 1. If she could go back to a certain time in her youth with the current knowledge she has now, when would it be? 2. Are there any requests or aspirations you have for the younger generation(s)?
Hi Jeannie, I was going through some old boxes and found US rationing books owned by my late grandmother. On May 5, 1942, each person in the United States received a copy of a War Ration Book good for a 56-week supply of sugar. I wanted to know if your mother remembered this time in history and how it impacted her or her family. Love and blessings to you both.❤️
For Grandma D- What is the silliest or craziest thing(s) you’ve done with your friends? Nothing like those beautiful moments of friendship and silliness ❤
What's Grandma Donna's favorite memory from childhood? Is there anything she thinks our younger generations are missing out on that she experienced? Happiest/saddest. memories? Silliest antics of you kids?
I have a question for granny Donna but I’d also like to ask Jeannie the same one: “If you could give one piece of advice to yourself in your 20s, what would it be?” ❤️
Really is the BEST COMMUNITY 🤗🤗🤗🤗 You look lovely Jeannie 🥰🥰 I'm gonna LOVE this Video 😍😍 My Mom was born in 1938 🤗 My Mom had Breast Cancer and passed when I was 7. I have that in common with Your Mom 🤗 that Tea 🍵 cup is beautiful 💙 Leo is adorable.
I love organizing/sorting videos. It'd probably be one of my favorite videos if it was quieter and less bright. But still, it was relaxing. Thank you, Jeannie
That would be amazing. I love learning about the life and experiences of older folks…especially from the 30s/40s! The women were so classy ❤ I am curious to know if she ever went to any Jazz clubs or saw any musical artists live? Also, how does she feel about todays (everyday) fashion? Are we slacking?
I am a hospice nurse. I own a home care/ hospice company... Oh the stories I have heard! My question to her is.... What are her memories of World War Ii? Does she remember the soldiers coming home? She is part of the greatest generation! ❤️
Firstly, I’m so glad you have the trackers and only use the annoying bells when they’re outside. I’d like you to ask your mom about how she remembers about fashion throughout all those decades, and if she has a favourite era.
The question for m.Giggy: are you aware that your daughter is still desperately seeking your approval? She seems very sad for not being seen (and angry at you). Seems that you were a bit harsh on her throughout her life...Or other way around.
The lighting in your dining room is prefect! I think I would like to ask GG Donna if she had an admiration for horses growing up since dad was a jockey, what her favorite childhood pass time was as well as her favorite food as a young person. The era in which she was raised was such a unique time in our history! My own mother, who was born in 1925, lived through the depression and told remarkable stories of growing up through that time. She was a wonderful storyteller. I admire you for including mom in your videos. Shes precious. I hope you're able to film her when you are reviewing our questions with her. I especially loved the video from summer with her tinkering outside in your beautiful garden. I've watched it many times 😘
I personally, just love history. Any history she can remember that's important, that anyone younger wasn't around for... those topics never get old. ❤️❤️❤️
I am always so delighted to see a new video up from you. I really enjoyed this one as do I of all the others. You always make me feel so content and calm. You are a special lady. I adored seeing your mom in the last video. The one thing I'd like to know from a vibrant lady of 85 is, how do you keep going? So active! Where does that spark come from! I'm 48 with health issues and find it hard at times to stay positive. ASMR has helped me a lot. YOU have helped me A LOT. I am very grateful. PS, the lipstick looked great! Love from Canada 🇨🇦
I’d like to ask Grandma D: If you could give any piece of advice or wisdom to your younger self, what would it be? Always appreciate your videos, they’re so relaxing and comforting!! :)
I’d love to hear what Grandma D’s best advice on dealing with adversity. I know that you have had more than your fair share of trauma and have handled it with such grace. I’m sure that can, in part, be attributed to your upbringing. I’d love to hear!
Hi Jeannie! I'm planning on doing the same with my parents as well so I love this idea =) I've seen a lot of questions already about favourite memories so I'll ask some other random/fun questions: What were some of her favourite songs to sing and/or dance to growing up and adulthood? Is there a smell that brings her back to a particular memory or time in her life, and if so what smell and memory might that be? What was/is her favourite age, and why? Thank you so much, Jeannie for all that you offer us through your videos (and Spotify albums ;). xo
Wow that’s a few travel bags! 😂 I think a video with your sweet mom would be an awesome idea. It absolutely creates memories for you to look back on and can share with your kids, maybe they will learn something they didn’t know before. My question: what is GD’s fondest memory of you and your brothers? P.S. 🥲💜🐺🫂-In reference to something special!
SPUTNIIIIIIK! 🤩💓😺 Thank you, Jeannie 😻🙏💓😸 I know that you said it has to be spontaneous, but THANK YOU anyway 😻🙏 I would like to ask your mum, Grandma D. what is her happiest memory that she remembers? 🤗
Grandma D, what is it like seeing technology develop over the course of is many years? Is it hard to keep up? Do you feel left out because you didn’t grow up with such convenience? I would love to know❤
In this moment it's difficult to me to stay serene, sleep and calm. I find in your smooth voice, in your elegance, in your peaceful videos a cozy place. Thank you so much. I am sorry I am not able to say better what I think because English is not my native language (sorry for mistakes). And, oh, your video helps me a lot with English! Tysm🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much for offering calm, comfort and a feeling of caring for everyone who wants to listen, where ever we are in the world, Jeannie! Oh, this is wonderful. Think of all the things she has to tell that no one else can tell, about lost family members, traditions the family had when she was a kid, what meals that were common, what they did for fun etc. I would ask who is the oldest relative she can remember and what memories do you have of him/her? Looking forward to see/hear the results and the questions you have decided on, sometime in the future. Wishing peace and love to you and yours and everyone else watching the video and reading the comments. 💖 from Norway
I would love to ask your mom 1. What are some of her passions/interests? 2. What does her ideal day look like? 3. How did she know her husband was the one for her, was it just a feeling or something else?
I am brand new to your channel, this is the first video I've watched and I feel like I'm talking to my aunt 💕 very comforting and peaceful. I try to sneak videos and candid photos of my mother, because you're right; we don't know how much time we have. I'm very glad I found your space
A couple of question I would absolutely love for your dear Mom to answer are, What is her fondest memories of you when you were a child? And Is there an embarrassing memory she has that she looks back on and laughs about?
Ask your mom, "What is her favorite memory as a young girl"?
Here's a couple questions for your mother! I think the video idea is great.

@@emily54215 I wouldn’t dream of asking her anything like this. Sorry, you’ve got it quite wrong.
Donna! These are great topics!!! Thank you! 👍🏼
I personally, just love history. Any history she can remember that's important, that anyone younger wasn't around for... those topics never get old. ❤️❤️❤️
😊👍🏼
Love this!
@@JeannieBASMRI LOVE teasing you lol
Grandma D and Mama J, what advice would you give to young adults about the real world?
I would like to know which cat is Grandma D’s favorite and why.
Oooo! That will be tough, but ok!! 😘
Aw. I love your cats! I'm so glad you could upload!❤️❤️❤️
This is such a wonderful idea! I’m wondering if your mom remembers a favorite kind of food her parents prepared for them as kids?
SPUTNIIIIIIK! 🤩💓😺 Thank you, Jeannie 😻🙏💓😸 I know that you said it has to be spontaneous, but THANK YOU anyway 😻🙏 I would like to ask your mum, Grandma D. what is her happiest memory that she remembers? 🤗
Grandma D, what is it like seeing technology develop over the course of is many years? Is it hard to keep up? Do you feel left out because you didn’t grow up with such convenience? I would love to know❤
Of all the places you’ve traveled, where do you recommend everyone go if given the opportunity?
In this moment it's difficult to me to stay serene, sleep and calm. I find in your smooth voice, in your elegance, in your peaceful videos a cozy place. Thank you so much. I am sorry I am not able to say better what I think because English is not my native language (sorry for mistakes). And, oh, your video helps me a lot with English! Tysm🙏🙏🙏
I’d love to ask grandma D… what’s been her favourite decade to live through and why ❤️
I would love to ask your mom
1. What are some of her passions/interests?
2. What does her ideal day look like?
3. How did she know her husband was the one for her, was it just a feeling or something else?
Grandma Donna Question: how would you describe your fashion sense when you were in your 20’s?
I am brand new to your channel, this is the first video I've watched and I feel like I'm talking to my aunt 💕 very comforting and peaceful. I try to sneak videos and candid photos of my mother, because you're right; we don't know how much time we have. I'm very glad I found your space
Welcome!! So glad you’re here, Breanna!
A couple of question I would absolutely love for your dear Mom to answer are,
What is her fondest memories of you when you were a child?
And
Is there an embarrassing memory she has that she looks back on and laughs about?
