I saw a great article in the Jan/Feb issue of Real Simple about how to organize YOUR LIFE (!!) in 30 days! Well, I'd like to give it a try! It's a bit of a bold statement, but it would be fun to tackle some of the list!

Stick the pillow in the dryer on "air dry" with a tennis ball - it will remove some of the fur. Such a pain! But so snuggly.

As a twenty five year old who moved a couch into my second floor apartment by myself- i also do not recommend moving furniture by yourself 😅
Im excited to hear these organization tips- im also trying to do little cleaning through the week so i dont spend a whole day on the weekend cleaning

Food inventory is a life saver especially if you grow. Growing up mom always did it so she could get from harvest to harvest without having any leftovers or running out of something. It also helped show what to plant in the new season. I've always done it even with store goods.
To just wipe clean the inside of your microwave, put in 3-4 cups of water with a lemon slice for 5 minutes and when you take the water out, it’s steamed whatever may be stuck on from cooking inside your microwave:)

I was going to add a Day 31 for you to clear out your vault! I was typing it right as you mentioned it😂. I am in the middle of a big house cleaning right now. It is a lot of work but I feel so accomplished as I am checking things off my list and it calms my mind. I hope you have a great week and thank you for your videos💜💜

What a great video Jeannie, and I needed this push - I try to de-clutter but have a terrible habit with bowls of meaningless stuff dotted around (drop zones) and piles of documents ,letters, post-it notes and magazines that grow and spread 🤦♀️. One hack I like is half of a sliced lemon and baking soda to clean stainless steel - sinks, kettles, toasters. sprinkle soda liberally and rub the lemon in circles juice-side down. 🍋😇

The best thing for stained tea cups is baby sterilising fluid. Works every time! Plus you can use it for cleaning the kitchen.

I haven't been able to travel for a long while now, but I promised this year to make up for lost time. Believe it or not, my Dad and I will actually be out near your neck of the woods next month! It'll be my first time ever in Cali, so I'm excited to see the sights - Disneyland especially. I hope this helps you ease into your adventures and feel all the more prepared during them, Mama J! I'll be sure to take the challenge to heart as I plan my next trip.

I so connected with the loss of ability to move my furniture around the house at will . I also have sold my main house which is large ...and have my favorite to my already furnished much smaller mountain cabin... I’m a pretty good purger and do it often . Here is something interesting that I learned in my area .. I usually donate to Salvation Army but I found out that our fire departments love to receive all household items (furniture, kitchen ware , sheets , ) when a family loses their home to fire...the fire dept will be able to help resupply their new living situation from donations .. I was thrilled to have so many helpful items to donate from my downsizing . Check your nearby fire depts to see if they do that . We had half our house burn many years ago and were blessed not to be left in a bad situation.. not not everyone is as fortunate . Just something to think about while purging and reorganizing .. also hotel toiletries are coveted at local food banks 😊

You're not kidding about the clutter wearing on you after a while. (my office is a prime example of this although this video inspired me) but we have a kitchen island we have an open floor plan and as soon as you walk in you can see the island and it's our drop zone and once every other day I do a total reset of it and put things away/wipe it down and it helps SO much with our house feeling more put together or just in general better feeling
100%! I'M the biggest problem in our house...I get something organized or decluttered and then get lazy about keeping it that way! Lol!

(My problem is that once I get things organized, I slowly disorganize it all! I’m my own worst enemy!) 🤣
Just an idea past all the great ones you gave out is if you drive here to there, fill up a “get home bag” in your car so if you have a break down or if you have trouble driving due to weather, you’ll have food and water maybe a blanket in colder weather. I live in upstate New York in the Adirondack mountains and it gets very cold here and we keep a metal coffee can filled with tea candles for warmth. Extra clothes , old sneakers, rain coat and sweaters might be nice to have at the ready also. My aunt drove an old clunker that broke down on a daily theme and she actually kept a small bicycle in her trunk for back up transportation!

While a cold environment keeps batteries alive for longer, the moist environment of the fridge can add condensation which can cause batteries to rust or worse, explode. It's better to store them in a cool and dry place if at all possible - not the fridge!
The freezer would be the absolute worst for them - do not move them there either!

My friends laugh at me because I just made the major decision to get a mini air oven in my kitchen... took me so long because I knew it would need to go on the kitchen surface and the only thing I've had on the surfaces for 10 years is the kettle! Everything else is stashed in a cupboard. I have an open-plan kitchen and lounge, so I don't like seeing things out on the surfaces from my sofa 🙈

i find toothpaste gets so many stains out of so many different surfaces. I've removed food colouring stains from a kilt and tar off of a sink with toothpaste and water

My hack…and I know you know this because of your husband being a pilot…but my best life hack is fresh coffee grounds getting rid of bad odors quickly. Used it nearly every day as a flight attendant. 😂 and now I make my husband (a pilot) bring the little hotel packs home and I keep them in our baby’s diaper bag. 😂😂
Lala oh yes we use that a lot … lavs are small but mighty(with odors). Lol. Thank you for the hint about the little hotel coffees. I am going to do that.

When we were once in Amsterdam, my father would make up what a Dutch word meant and then start to use that word everywhere. It was hilarious. For a while, his word was “Oosterbeek” (a town.). When he would pay for something, he’d say, “How many Oosterbeeks for this?” Or when passing someone, he’d say, “Did you see that guy? He was an Oosterbeek!” And so on.
