That Fjallraven bag you bought is first and foremost designed to be an add-on external pocket for their Tree-Kånken backpack, and a crossbody bag second. You probably would have found one of their dedicated hip packs or sling bags much more comfortable and better designed. Having said that, their simplistic design ethos is not for everyone. I have a number of their bags and yes, the lack of pockets and organisational features can be a bit frustrating. However their Kanken backpack has become one of my favourite backpacks ever BECAUSE it is so minimal and simple, so I guess it's a mindset thing. Good video, thanks for sharing :-)
My favorite is the 2L lululumon belt bag and I hate saying that too 😂 because i don't even like the brand. But it has all the features of the 1L and a bit extra. It does have a double zipper, elastic straps instead of a buckle (although still a bit if a pain to readjust), and it fits my noise cancelling headphones and e-reader. What I also like about the placement of the clip buckle is that it's safer. If it's placed more towards your back, people can come up from behind you and unclip it without you noticing.
As a on the go dad with two toddlers, I can’t live without my lulu 2L belt bag. Looks like you are rocking the 1L with the OG strap. It’s 2024 get yourself a murse guys…
I am on a hunt for a sling/hip bag combo. I love cotopaxi and have a couple of their 3L versions. Their Allpa line has awesome organization and comes in a few sizes. All of these you are reviewing are a little small for what I need (including my phone and wallet, it also needs to fit my Kobo ereader, a small first aid kit, and aranet 4 co2 sensor, epi pen and other small items). It's not a lot of stuff but it's bulky, so it can wear funny depending on the type of bag. Having organizational pockets is important. Thanks for this funny, but informative video!
I've used the Patagonia hip pack for years, but recently purchased a few different colors in the Lululemon and absolutely love them! I find them to be more comfortable with the wider band for crossbody use. I also enjoy the storage options.
I own 3 fjallraven kanken backpacks. Its a specific style for those who enjoy its use case. The material is insanely durable. Definitely not for everybody but at 5'2" I have a hard time finding packs that fit all my stuff, are comfortable on my small frame and don't swallow me whole. Fjallraven kankens FTW! P.s. I had my first kanken for 5 years and used it everyday. Still looks new.
I’m in the exact same boat! I’m a big fan of Cotopaxi and Patagonia. Lululemon isn’t a brand I really go for and I don’t own any of their clothing, but I LOVE their belt bags. They’re super sleek and overall just a solid edc
that last time you mentioned fghrublemn haha mystery ranch hip monkey, bigger, pretty much ticks all your boxes except for having elastic to keep the webbing flaps. but that's easily moddable.
You said you've got that Patagonia 6 years ago but the closest thing I see they sell now to it is the Black Hole Mini which looks pretty much the same but doesn't have that extra back pocket in the main compartment. I also have the Cotopaxi but I dislike how it doesn't have the cushion. But the next one I will get is the Fjallraven High Coast Hip Pack. I think it might be better if you want a little more room.
“Fyall-raven”. It’s super not hard and would’ve taken fifteen seconds to look up before making this video instead of seemingly revelling in being unwilling to learn how to pronounce a new word
@@legacygoods9822 I am norwegian (brand is swedish but the language is very similar, and pronunciation of this word is the same)) and thought it was hilarious. II get this same thing with my personal name.

Yes, the black hole is the same pack, it's the only one I can find now as well.

Life must suck taking yourself so seriously. I’m just having a lil fun.
