I’m a new parent and a fanny pack has become an essential. It just works when you’re chasing a kid around! I use the Evergoods CAS2, but the Venture line is built great too. Thanks for the videos Bo - love them.
I use my fanny bag alot during summer when im out surfing and stuff to always have all my important things (key/phone/papper ) near reach and in one place.
This is the best I can describe it for me. When I’m wearing a sling bag… I feel like I’m using a purse… but a fanny pack?! I feel as 😎 as can be. Idk why. But on a real note, I feel like a fanny pack is much more efficient. It’s more comfortable imo, but mainly it gives you a much easier experience with getting your stuff out and putting your stuff in. Also being able to see what’s in there is easier. Idk.
Was about to type a quedtion when the video played the segment on the x100 inside the bag. Did you have a filter on the camera? Also, any more space beside the camera when inside the main compartment?
When regular walking the fidlock never opened itself. For me it's rather those unfortunate bumps: for instance on a motorcycle with heavy gloves it actually did happen (not on this bag specifically) that I bumped against a fidlock whilst wanting to adjust the bag position. It opened whilst riding. That is why I do not trust most fidlocks on very important straps. V buckle style fidlocks are the best imho
Lol as a Fitness Walker and Bicyclist I use a hip pack-fanny bag all the time. Some of my running and cycling tights don't have big enough pockets. (I wear compression tights on my walks-runs I got a bad knee and arthritis and I need the support and I wear a compression sleeve over my knee as a precaution) Lately I have gone "High Tech" I got a couple of specialized "belts" for when I go walking-running they are made to carry a water bottle and have a elastic loop for keys and a space for a mobile phone which is important because I use a fitness app to track my pace, distance and time and to listen to music. The one I use most often is called Flip Belt I use their water bottle and wallet when I go out to exercise. But something like this for going out or doing errands is nice, I don't need doggie bag but I bring a reusable shopping bag with me sometimes in case I want to pick up a few items from the store.
I think hip packs look cool if worn to the side rather than in front. I'm kind of waiting for them to lose the stigma they have because I would totally wear one but really don't want that stigma attached to it.
Wasn’t a fan of ‘funny’ packs but i do love my Bellroy hip bag. It holds so much and i love not having a bag across my body. I love the material and the look. Makes me feel like i am not wearing a fanny pack…but, the fidlock does make me feel less secure about it sitting on my hips. Great idea with strap keeper.
Hey have you tried the venture 2.5L? I want something bigger than this hip pack, but I know that one is meant to be worn as a sling and just wondering how comfortable it is worn on the hips. thanks for the vid
As you might have seen in this video I use the Ekster parliament wallet. It's the one I use the most. And I currently carry five cards in the aluminum main compartment (but one card has raised numbers and therefore counts as two. So overall you can fit six cards in that main slot), two cards in one of the slots outside. There are two more slots into which you can also fit two more cards per slots. There is a money band for bills. If you want a compact wallet then check out the Ekster in this video th-cam.com/video/qiVYmWqVv-I/w-d-xo.html That being said, ten cards plus cash is a lot and might make the compact wallet unnecessary big. Depending on how many bills you want to carry. Therefore I might recommend to check out one of the billfold from Bellroy

😂 I can imagine that a fanny pack is really important and useful when having a kid. Thanks for watching, Jaime

It looks cool. I'm their getting this or the lite hip.belt bag.

Wonderful Video Bo! Super helpful!
Thanks, Eric
Great review , just purchased one , midnight colour hopefully goes well
Hey mo, whats your go-to secondary backpack? as in a day pack for traveling streets
while leaving ur main bag at hotel?

I also have the same question. Looking for something small to carry my X100V, extra battery, wallet, keys, AirPods, and maybe a small power bank.
Not a bad fanny pack but the choice of Fidlock makes it a no go.
You are sounding much better. Hope there are no lasting effects of COVID.
Thanks, mate. Yes, I am much better after covid.
The ending had me dying lmao did not expect that. Automatic Sub haha
Haha thanks. Appreciate the sub ✌️😊
I have this pack and I use it as a sling/cross body bag. The fidlock has never once disengaged. It’s a fine little pack.
cause you are beta male. with real men it disengages.

@@Youknowthebo to be honest sometimes it doesnt even open easy if the load on tyhe bag gets too heavy. i love the bag but i hate fidlock.
Very good idea to secure the fidlock. As you say, in hot weather it is better to wear it in the waist. Very nice sling bag.
Thanks for watching, Jose 😉✌️

That's awesome. Thanks for sharing your experience. My neighbor is bicycling a lot and he also has those specialist belt packs.

Yeah, there is still a stigma on fanny packs. But it's slowly becoming popular again. At least it feels like it for me 😂
@@paniq-522 that might be the case as well 😂

Good hack on the fidlock.
Yeah, I might add an elastic band to all fidlocks in the future

The problem with the magnetic closure is useless, a thief would never put his hands in your bag but would directly cut the belt and take it away.
Hi. will this fit Samsung ultra device or Samsung Fold phones
Looks like a great little pack! I’m also looking for a minimalist wallet for about 10 cards and cash capacity. Do you have any recommendations?

@@Youknowthebo thanks I appreciate the advice.
@@anthonyrampino7734 you're very welcome. Let me know if you have any more questions
@@Youknowthebo I sure will!
@@Youknowthebo I do have another question. I’ve been looking for a backpack that’s good for edc and gym stuff. Can you recommend some?
The fidlock ruined it for me
I get that. But the solution with the elastic band is working pretty well from my experience
My philosophy is function over form. Dont give a sh!t about what anyone thinks.
good vid
Thank you very much 😊✌️
I also like zippers on an inside pocket or two.
Agreed ✌️😉
