    It's just made my day, that a like-minded person has just given me a "like" for my comments, about Walking In The Air, from the Keep being the most beautiful synthesizer music ever written,! So I am listening to it again, as I am writing this - (and the music ish at full volume, as I listen BY CANDLELIGHT!)!

    • @Simpleburger1968

      It IS glorious isn't it ! I saw the film - on one of it's very rare TV appearances - in 1994 and clocked this ending music though I just thought it "similar" to the Howard Blake composition. I bought a CD of the film's score in 1995 which had a short version of this - I often wished it were longer .... and now it is ....

      @@Simpleburger1968 from DEEJAYENPS (Nygel Miller). You See! Dreams CAN come true - you wanted a longer version - and GOT it! (Like me!) Another amazing thing that happened, was that I'd always liked LIVE TO TELL by Madonna. I always hoped for a longer version, than the one on the radio. I thought I'd just try typing in "hear Madonna's Live To Tell", EXTENDED version. The reason this song is so special, is, ORIGINALLY, it had been planned for a film soundtrack! So, I did get my version for an extended version - about SEVEN minutes! Bu t still, it wasn't enough! One day, when I typed the title in on my smartphone, I thought " This CAN'T be! The longest 7 MINUTES I ever heard! I timed it - and it lasted 15 MINUTES! All by itself, and when the track finished - I saw it had come up as ULTRA extended version!

    Loved this movie when I saw it in the theatre in 1984. Always loved the music. This was my first taste of tangerine dream and have been a fan of them since. Saw them live on their 1988 your in n.y.c. and was blown away. They played logos in the concert. R.i.p. Edgar Froese, your music lives on.

    • @WESDEANEMARTIN
      @WESDEANEMARTIN 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@pewburrito I'll try to remember, sure. It's coming along; I'm trying to make it as close to the original as possible, even trying to recreate the synth sounds as best I can, but I know it won't be perfect and I'll have to improvise here and there. There is a lot of noise and effects from the movie that are obfuscating some of the sound, and there are a few things which I simply cannot duplicate perfectly, however I am making my best attempt at capturing the mood and melody, even adding just enough recreated effects back into the final mix (but not enough to detract). I work out of town extensively, so I always try to put a few hours in a month when I get back home. Cheers! -The Night Shift Electrician.
