The rarity of the situation and the alignment of the stars for this to happen was Incredible bro, hats off to you. My jaw was dropped the whole video 🎉🎉🎉
I remember seeing the post about the car from Jordan in a FB group 3 years ago. Watching that video that Luke filmed felt like finding a secret; the story was frankly unbelievable. Glad this story/car will get some more publicity. Jordan is the best caretaker anyone could ask for for a car this significant/important.
As a history nerd of old Japanese tuning companies, I have to say this was an oustanding video. I had posters all over my teenage bedroom of cars from HKS, Trust, Blitz, Top Secret, JUN, Yashio Factory, and Top Fuel Japan. I'm really glad that this car went to somebody who has so much nostalgia and appreciation for HKS. Thanks Jordan for sharing your story.
love seeing the rare occasional person who actually respects the history and build of a car they buy and maintaining it instead of just ricing it up or even worse just parting and scrapping it. these old builds that are what made these cars legendary in the first place deserve the respect.
Holy moly! This has to be an once in a lifetime opportunity. The respect for the company's history on both sides is just astounding. What an incredible story! 😲
@@djstatyk1540 depends on the story teller, but I mostly agree. I like Ed, Doug and Rob on there but that’s about it. Also I like the guy with the big black Toyota truck. He’s great at telling stories too
Even crazier this car is in my home town! I pass that exit everyday for work. I hope one day I’ll witness it. Truly a majestic and special R33. I can’t believe how beautiful it is. Thank you Jordan for sharing your story and the history of this car. 🙏
Essentially the fact is, this car is priceless. There is no amount of money that could be offered to buy this car.. he could ask ANY dollar amount and have every right to collect that and more... millions even. This is a 1/1 vehicle that is a icon of history... I think its soo cool that a young car guy in the US is the owner and not some stiff in a suit who tells jokes for a living... a legit real, and everyday cool car guy is the keeper of the keys... absolutely awesome.
Funny story: I was on corsa rally with my gtr and needed to refill the ac. Jordan came down to the parking garage after a long a** day of driving in hot temps to help me out. He is just a stand up guy and deserves all his success 👏🏻
"The feather in the cap" Man your R33 GTR is the coolest R33. Wow what an amazing opportunity to not only purchase an actual HKS car, but to also work directly with HKS, just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. Congrats on your BCNR33, happy for you.
Honestly, this is so dope! Not only from the aspect of rarity, but the owner being so into the details. I have a feeling that played a major role in why HKS elected to do the build ☺️ Hats off to all around, best be sure this thing Will appreciate far beyond what it’s worth now. That’s my dream car I think. R33 GTR in MPP with bronze/gold TE37s. Done.
It was already restored before it was auctioned off at Auto Salon, but you’re right he has a ton of passion for the car and I can’t imagine anyone else with it
What a great story by a great storyteller. Can you imagine locating a legendary vehicle like this only to have a company like HKS “ask” to restore it to race spec? A pinch me moment if there ever was one.
I recently got a tour from Little Speed Shop down here in Rochester and they had a r33 and my mind was blown that they even had one. You never see them here in the states so getting to be up close to one was just a once in a lifetime opportunity. All the guys were such nice people and if you guys ever are in the area and need some work done check them out.
@1320video - you guys should definitely go back and cover some of the other amazing stuff Jordan has in his garage too ... this is just one of the insane cars he's got lurking there.
the editing in this is superb! I remember reading about this R33 a while back and being awestruck by Luke's video and it was great to see you guys cover it in this manner
recently bought a matching vin midnight purple r33 for 33k dollars. it was super dusty, looked like needed paint etc and was a little rough. nobody bothered to wash it. idk what that crap was that was on it, but it came so clean , had it polished and car looks brand new. popped the hood and theres A TON of early 2000s HKS parts that you cant even get anymore. we are currently cleaning and doing full restoration, every nut and bolt out, stripped down to the body (leaving original paint) going to do a 2.8l and puut all the period correct parts, period correct cams, and tuune it using period correct software etc. im not even much of a gtr guy but im a huge hsk fan from back in my teenage years and all the cool cars. im keeping mine forever once its back to mint condition.
This is incredible! What an amazing project and story around it. I didn't know who jordan was before this video, but right away I feel like he is 100% sure the guy who deserves it.
Now this is where i want to see 1320 going...tell the stories of the amazing car people that Kyle and Co. Have come to know. I would like to see a feature on SW out of Austin. He is a legendary car guy.

Such an awesome car & story for a guy that has the passion to back it up and has worked hard to get to where he is. Awesome video! Learned even more than I already knew. 🤩👌💚

Having met Jordan and seen this car in real life, I have no to say this is one of the best builds I have ever laid my eyes on
