i liked the part where the one guy "corrected" the pronunciation of "Meistagrif" and completely messed it up himself.
To be fair, sometimes we struggle ourselves.

For the next language challenge you should leave the language setting on German (or whatever) so you also have to try and figure out the moves and abilities. You will still be able to see numbers for the power, pp, etc but you may have some great surprises and reactions to what actually happens!

@@dr.glurak2462 subjektiv gebe ich dir recht, objektiv ist vieles im englischen besser wenn und weil es in englisch erstellt wurde und durch eine Übersetzung nicht verwaschen wird. Ich mag englisch nicht, finde deutsch durchaus wohlklingender, dennoch muss man eben einem original gegenüber einer Kopie oder in diesem Falle Übersetzung teilweise das mehr an Qualität zugestehen
Actually, competitively speaking, Conkeldurr has been better than Machamp over the years. I think Machamp really is only slightly faster, but Conkeldurr is bulkier and has access to Drain Punch (recovery) and hits harder overall thanks to Iron Fist or Guts and having a slightly higher Attack stat
Machamp also has guts, conkeldurr just has higher attack.
Yea but conkeldurr outclassed machamp since gen 5 so… Yea it’s definitely better!😂

Side note: Legendary pokemon in German have usually the same name in English.
Except for the Moltres/Lavados. In the first 4 gens at least.

I’m learning to speak German right now, and have switched my games language from English to German, so this is so fun! Maybe in the future re-roll the 3 starters if you get German names that are identical to their English ones, so that every choice made is a guess!
I’m German and even tho you guys don’t speak german it was pretty good tbh. You got a rlly strong accent, but to prevent this you could type the names maybe in google translator for the exact pronunciation 😊

Missing that move changed the whole fight. He lost a seriously tanky Sigilyph and half of Machamp's HP because of it

I think the best way to improve both your pronunciations is by simply learning the vocals (a,e,i,o,u) and then you're literally at a peak form📈
The sound he made when reading Rock Slide at 15:05 is hilarious! It reminds me so much of the Friends episode, when Ross and Rachel argue about Emma's first word, and Ross says "she said another word the other day, why don't you look up(fart noise)".

day 2 of telling a random fact about one of the pokemon you used in this episode!
Talonflame's hidden ability is gale wings, it used to give +1 priority to all flying type moves which made it a menace in the gen 6 competitive format. Gale wings was nerfed in gen 7 onwards so that it only works when at full hp. Talonflame can still use it to have priority on tailwind and brave bird so it can still work in the current format

All the main legendaries are called the same in german. The only exception is Mewtwo. (It's called Mewtu in german lol)
So Lunala is also Lunala in english.

Maybe you 2 only know English, but if you guys know a language the other doesn't, try pronounce the pokemon in that language and let the chaos begin!!
With generation 9 being out now I feel a challenge where they pick one from every generation and choose the best six of the nine they did it in sword and shield but since scarlet and violet are out they could do another one
Or maybe they could do a alphabet battle where they capture the first Pokemon of the letter going through the entire alphabet and then they just pick the best six out of all of them or they could also one of them captures the first half the other one captures the second half and then they pull them all together and take turns choosing

Needless to say, playing in a language you're not fully familiar with yet, it is a very special kind of challenge run!

HP : 90
Attack : 130
Defence : 80
Sp. Attack : 65
Sp. Defence : 85
Speed : 55
Base stats of Conkeldurr
HP : 105
Attack : 140
Defence : 95
Sp. Attack : 55
Sp. Defence : 65
Speed : 45
They fill the exact same role as a slow bulky fighting type, and Conkeldurr is just better in literally everything except Sp. Defence, and speed if you want to pick between the two of the You'd almost always pick Conkeldurr over Machamp, unless you're using No Guard OHKO moves on Machamp which is banned in Smogon.
It's literally a better Machamp, which is also why Conkeldurr is UU but Machamp is NUBL in gen 8, also they both have Guts as their mainly used ability.

Just draft more mons. That’s all you should do different when you do these or really any. Draft 8 or 9 or 10 and then put a team together. Whether you know what your opponent might have or not. It’ll add way more strategy.

If you ever need a german to get into a call with you to speak the names in the correct way (hed never have gotten machamp) i have a lot of free time xD
He pronounced Machollo correctly, actually. I'm German too, and I've heard people pronounce the ch in Machollo/Machomei like in the word "Loch", but that's wrong. It's clearly a play on words on the word "Macho", so pronouncing ch like in the word "chip" was correct.
Its very funny to see other people trying to pronounce german pokemon as a german

Its interesting how they still dont know that legendaries(especially those on the boxes) almost always keep their names so a Lunastein can never be a Lunala because Lunala would be Lunala.
Idea for the picks: you describe the 3 choices based on their stats, either by the highest or lowest stat
Also you could allow dynamaxing for Babies only - that may hold a few surprises :>
Bettle Idea: Choose the 1st 6 Mid Stage Pokemons you see and Flip a Coin.
If you get Heads: Pokemon Evolves to its Final stage.
If tails: You get the First Stage Evo.
For the role Conkeldurr and Machamp share in any tier There both legal you use Conkeldurr every time. You’re ether spam clicking Bullet or Mach punch, BP covering Fairies but Mach punch hitting way harder off a higher stat and stab.

This video was actually quite fun for me as a German, because I only played the first two generations as a child.
Since I mostly played romhacs or US roms since my return to pokemon I actually don't know the German names of the newer pokemon myself 😂
One of these vids big dawgz do your main pokemon starts at lvl 100 has only the move splash so you start with splash then ball (but the balls you use are worst) so go splash ball splash ball until you catch or faint.
When your starter faints you lose your last caught pokemon but go up to the next ball so ie. (Heavy->pokeball->nest ball-> great ball->quick ball-> ultra-> timer-> master or however u wanna do it!)
