Friggin' excellent video!! Exactly the information I needed, laid out in perfect order with no unnecessary bullshyte. I do R&I for PDR guys and occasionally I need to find a video to get things apart. I'm so lucky to have found this one. Thank you!
excellent video - minus one issue, it should be specified that this is not the process for power mirrors, or point out that process may change by year, my 2015 didn’t require the steps with chop sticks etc to remove upper mirror, I just had to push it up with my hands and it popped right out. I was just trying to replace the original ones on my 2015 ($160 each) and now that I seen these, I might be interested. Thanks.
@@mattparks11 manual mirrors are on like a pivoting ball connected with plastic clips in a circular pattern not that different from the lower mirror requiring the chop stick trick to open enough of the plastic clips to pop it off. Power mirrors have plate the mirror attached to with the power motor behind the plate. It’s just like L shaped bracket holding the mirror to the plate. On power mirrors, to take upper mirror off, simply hook your thumbs on the bottom and push straight up, mirror pops off super easy.
what size and what type of bit did you use with the drill to take off the black part, i'm trying to get my light out thats on the mirror side and i cant seem to find the right bit for the damn screw thats in there. Star bit dont work , screw driver dont work, allen wrench dont work, torque bit dont work, not a fucking thing works to get whatever the fucking screw is, out.
Hi , as mentioned in the description. The cheaper mirrors bottom glass will break if tried to be removed . If you spent less than $300 on a set of tow mirrors there is a 95% chance they don’t come apart .

Glad I came across this video. I’m going to be modifying some Boost Auto tow mirrors i purchased from original buyer
My tow mirrors are stuck and won’t extend. Any suggestions? Even try ratchet strap to pull and they really stuck 😂
Man we need a video of how to hardwire these in a early 2014 model
Hi , that will be our next video . Thank you for feedback!
I just did it last week. Pretty easy just time consuming. Definitely want a wire hangar to get thru the grommet in the firewall.
What’s the red and black wire 2:00 in the video and also is that the wire that makes the turning signal sequence?
The red and black wire hooked up to the glass is for the turn signal
I have mine exactly how you showed in the video but my running lights don’t come on just the turn signals work. Any suggestions?
Hi , email us your number texastowmirrors@gmail.com
What was the issue? I have the same problem, but on mine only one side works on running light, it could be L or R but never together
I need help the mirrors on my 2015 the light plug is a 3 prong instead of 2 prong what do I do
Hi , it should still have three wires . All the marker lights we sell tells you what each color does.
how did you fix this? i have the same problem

Star bit. Sounds like your screws are stripped. Where did you purchase mirrors?

One solid jerk and my $170 mirrors are junk
Felt that, I’m currently trying to do this myself and already broke the bottom mirrors even after doing what multiple videos said to do.
