This is a great video. Seeing the obvious mods you've done to your truck is sweet but it would make a cool video if you went around your truck and went into detail about all the mods. My main question is lift size and offset of your wheels (they look like -44).
Great video man. I bought the mirror option that has heating/defrost in them but my truck doesn't seem to have that stock option. Before I screw something up, I figured I would ask you to see if you knew how to wire it to make it work.. for example, is it simply just adding another pin to the harness.

Hopefully someone still answers questions on this video 😂 So I saw someone in another video put the red wire into pin 41. What’s the difference? He did have a slightly different tow mirror than the one you have but his signal on glass still worked.
Great video. I have a slt model the stock mirrors don't have folding option and lights built it. I think from what you video shows the lights will work with those mirrors but I'm not sure about the folding option. I wonder if I can get that option working
You won’t get power fold unless you swap the switch and route the power fold pin as well. If you didn’t have signals in the glass you will also need to pin #41 which is the signal in the glass which also is how your switchbacks get signal. Simply route the red and yellow wire the same way 9 and 11 are done.

I had power tow mirrors before they were oem and everything worked. I swapped them for smaller power mirrors on the 1500. Now I’m going back to aftermarket tow mirrors. Do I have to wire it all up like this? Or will it be plug and play for full function?
Great video. I noticed the switchback lights said they don’t work on aftermarket tow mirrors. Yours are aftermarket right? And they still worked. My mostplus tow mirrors just came with the amber light.
Hi LL7 I just put my passenger side tow mirror on. My vehicle is a 2017 gmc Sierra slt. Stock mirrors had power adjustment power folding and turn signals in glass. Puddle lights also. I bought a pair of sanooer tow mirrors with power adjustment, power folding, running lights in front, and turn signals in mirror. Also has the cargo lights. The turn signals work in mirror, the power folding works, the running lights work as in they turn on but don’t blink when signal is activated. The cargo lights turn on when I press the cargo light in side. The main issue is the power adjustment. It moves vertically but won’t move the mirror horizontally. Any ideas?
I'm Replacing my existing tow mirrors with blinkers So I only need to add pins 9 and 11. lf my truck didn't have the cargo or running light feature will it still work by just adding the pins I need to buy pins and I want to button up the door panels now so I want to run the wires for later
It doesn't sound like it. He's using the small harness wires that came with the mirrors to give power to the front running light and the white "spot" light on the sides. If you want your running light to function as a turn signal and running light, you need to make another modification.
So I’m going to be doing this on my GFs 2018 Sierra she bought a harness for exactly what you did theoretically should be the same thing you did right?
Any help on troubleshooting for daytime running white lights in the front. Both Turn signals from both sides works and everything just not the front clearance.
Nice video, I just changed the mirrors on my 2016 silverado and everything worked except the back up light. But I just hooked it up to the factory harness would that be the problem?
Yes, chances are your stock harness does not have the cargo lights in the factory harness just run them into the terminal like in the video. Thanks for the feedback!
@@kenfoy3284 look at my other video, in order for them to work in the front and be running lights ( switchback function ) you have to run a signal wire inside the mirror from the blinker on glass to the running light. I show how it works in my other video on my channel
Just got some mirrors and they have all the functions, just not the switchback lights, but they didn’t come with the extra red, black, blue and white wires that you’re doing in the video…do i need to get those from somewhere else or are they possibly in the single harness coming from the mirror?
@__ll7__ Curious, it says the turn lights are in pin 41 on the wiring harness. I noticed you just wired it straight into the block. Is that tapping into pin 41?
Dude thank you for this video: I have a few questions: 1 what yr is your truck? I have a 2018 SLT with full function and reserve tilt. I want my tow mirrors to work with the reverse light not just the dome lights. I can’t find any help with this. 2 If your truck was able to tilt in reverse did you look into that? Thanks again
Abbey Kay thank you for the feedback! I have a 2016. This works on 2015-2018 trucks. There is a way to wire the cargo lights into your reverse lights I’m just not sure how to do it lol. However, when you click the cargo light button they stay in in reverse, so they are kinda reverse lights. Some mirror brands will keep the reverse tilt but not many, the tow mirrors have the large blind spot mirror so you don’t need reverse tilt mirrors. Thanks !
@@5-9_Motorsports thank you sir.... You just can’t believe I broke both my upper glass and on one the bottom retainer ring on the mirror side.. and there’s no way to talk to mostplus... 😆
I got a 15 2500 SLE. Came with regular 1/2 ton mirrors no signal in glass. Just added the tow mirrors. So the signal glass, switchbacks, and cargo lights currently don’t work (stock door harness isn’t pinned for it). So your saying if I repeat what you just did it will all work?
It will if your truck was build in 2015, a lot of the 2015 HD trucks were built in 2014 and it isn’t this simple to wire those. You’ll have refer to an RZY harness, boost auto has the harness and install video for that harness.
Sounds like you either didn’t pin the correct terminals or you have a 2014 or early 2015 model that requires an RZY harness on top of this for them to work
I’ve got a 15 Silverado it’s just an LT without folding mirrors or turn signals the cargo and the running light should still be the same pins that you said correct?
Hello man this video is a great option to spending a fortune for the Harness. But I have the power fold from Most Plus and it came with the extra wire but can I use it to get the features that you show on this video? I did buy the switch for the folding option But I am not sure what to do with the extra wiring that came with the mirrors And do you plug into themselves the toggles to the wiring on the mirrors themselves or how does that work your video shows running those wires through the harness and pinning them in #9- 11. I guess I am stuck at the mirror wiring that also have those extra hook up and how or where I hook that onto. I know I sound like I just don't get it but I just don't want to screw it up and not be able to get the pins out of the gray connector after I put them in . Any help or comments would really be appreciated thank you guys for this video.
Yes it will be in the same way in the video, then for the powerfold just follow boost autos video for adding powerfold. It’s in the link in my description.
Yea you are right I have watched that video over and over along with yours but I find your video much more cost efficient and beneficial to me anyway. So I think you are saying to me that I should just plug in those extra toggles that came on the tow mirrors to plug them into themselves on the wiring harness and don't mess with anything on the truck to find a place to hook them into do I got thst right? And then do the wiring like you have shown in your video add the power folding switch and I should be good? TY for your reply..!
Great Thank you so much for your video bro you are a true lifesaver it's the best and most informative video out you make it simple. Have a great day Sir..!
I have 2015 gmc 2500 that came with regular mirrors that have signal on glass. I bought aftermarket tow mirrors with all options. Will this wiring make all functions work?
If you’re truck was built in 2015 than yes, some of the 2500s were built in 2014 and you have to use a RZY harness. Because the terminals will not be pinned.
I installed mine did all the wiring like you do except my pin 41 has a wire in it already and I do not have to mirrors lights so I’m asking do I unplug that pen and put my new one in it is there another option thank you
When you say 2015 and up come pre pinned do you mean that the harness is just pretty much plug and play? Or do you still have to run the wires? I only ask cause I may need to buy some pins before I attempt installing. Thanks in advance!
2015 and up means the pins inside the door jam will be there and you can do exactly what I did in the video. If you have an early model 2500 or 2014 15 and 2500 you'll need an additional "RZY" to add the pins inside the door jam. Hope that helps
Thanks for the video. I don't plan on doing the switchback so would I need to do additional wiring/modifications to get on glass and front turn signals to work? Has anyone figured out how to get the reverse/cargo lights to come on when in reverse? My cargo light turns off when in reverse.
The cargo light should not turn off in reverse cargo lights only turn off in drive. And yes if you want the front lights to be used as running lights as well as signals you have to wire the inside of the mirror like I did in my other video on my channel. Thanks !
Question for everyone on here …. I also just put tow mirrors on my 2017 duramax … but my ambient temperature sensor which is located on the right passenger mirror is now reading very cold which is causing a check engine code . According to my after market gauge everything is fine . Any suggestions on how to alleviate this issue ?
Hey I just followed your video and hooked up my tow mirrors. My LTZ had mirror and seat memory before hand but not the mirror memory does not work. Any ideas?
I haven’t had any shake in mine, I did see that on a review but I’ve build many many sets of this same brand of mirrors for people and no one has complained about shaking
I did the exact set up you did and everything works except the forward looking turn signals. I noticed when you did your ops check you never checked the turn signals. Is there extra wiring to do to have the forward turn signals to work?
Todd Marcus are you running lights working ? If they are working you simply splice into the hot on the turn signal on glass inside your mirror and when it receives signal from it, it will flash

I did everything exactly the same and even tripe checked and everything works except my turn signal lights on the new tow mirrors :( idk if it’s because my model is the SLE and it didn’t come with arrow turn signals on the original mirror so idk if that’s why they won’t work???

So I’m going to be doing this on my GFs 2018 Sierra she bought a harness for exactly what you did theoretically should be the same thing you did right?
Yes as long as that harness has the necessary pins used in the video.
Nice truck
Any help on troubleshooting for daytime running white lights in the front. Both Turn signals from both sides works and everything just not the front clearance.
Nice video, I just changed the mirrors on my 2016 silverado and everything worked except the back up light. But I just hooked it up to the factory harness would that be the problem?
Yes, chances are your stock harness does not have the cargo lights in the factory harness just run them into the terminal like in the video. Thanks for the feedback!
I did the install and the turn signals on the mirrors don’t work ?? I read I may need to pin # 41?? How would I do that?? Thanks
If you didn’t have blinkers in your factory mirrors then yes you will have to pin the red and yellow wire in to pin #41
@@5-9_Motorsports ok so i did that but only have blinkers working in the mirrors but not the outside ? Any suggestion ?
@@kenfoy3284 look at my other video, in order for them to work in the front and be running lights ( switchback function ) you have to run a signal wire inside the mirror from the blinker on glass to the running light. I show how it works in my other video on my channel
I’m f my truck is a early 2015 silverado lt with no turn signal on my mirror will this still work or do I need the whole new wiring harness
did the covers come color matched or did you do that yourself
Pins say out of stock on eBay you know another place to get them? Or another link with same pins?
Just got some mirrors and they have all the functions, just not the switchback lights, but they didn’t come with the extra red, black, blue and white wires that you’re doing in the video…do i need to get those from somewhere else or are they possibly in the single harness coming from the mirror?
Should be able to just trace which wires go to the running lights and cargo lights and just provide you’re own wire and do the same thing
Did you have an issue with the running light not staying on it will flash once but won’t stay on
@__ll7__ Curious, it says the turn lights are in pin 41 on the wiring harness. I noticed you just wired it straight into the block. Is that tapping into pin 41?
Yes you only need to pin #41 if your factory mirrors didn’t have signals on glass
Abbey Kay lol I’ve done it, just get replacement glass from boost auto
@@5-9_Motorsports i did buy new ones from boost.
Dude you’re awesome.
Thank you
I got a 15 2500 SLE.
I had wired everything up, everything works but the reverse light and running lights on both mirrors. If you have any tips, it would be helpful.
Sounds like you either didn’t pin the correct terminals or you have a 2014 or early 2015 model that requires an RZY harness on top of this for them to work
@@5-9_Motorsports I will have to check my terminals. I have a 2016
I’ve got a 15 Silverado it’s just an LT without folding mirrors or turn signals the cargo and the running light should still be the same pins that you said correct?
Isaac Haller yessir
Hello LLC
Please indicate where you purchased the loose pins and sockets that you used in the modification of the harness.
thanks
Check the description I fixed the link to those pins.
@@5-9_Motorsports Sorry to bug you with that again, but where do you post link on this platform? I'm not that familiar with youtube!!
cheers

Got mines put on my 17 Sierra Denali yesterday and my power folding don’t work. Also my cargo lights wasn’t hooked up either.
Hello man this video is a great option to spending a fortune for the Harness. But I have the power fold from Most Plus and it came with the extra wire but can I use it to get the features that you show on this video?
I did buy the switch for the folding option
But I am not sure what to do with the extra wiring that came with the mirrors
And do you plug into themselves the toggles to the wiring on the mirrors themselves or how does that work your video shows running those wires through the harness and pinning them in #9- 11.
@@ron456 correct, wire the mirrors like I did mine in the video then refer to boost autos video for the powerfold
Great Thank you so much for your video bro you are a true lifesaver it's the best and most informative video out you make it simple.
Have a great day Sir..!
@@ron456 thanks man
I have 2015 gmc 2500 that came with regular mirrors that have signal on glass. I bought aftermarket tow mirrors with all options. Will this wiring make all functions work?
If you’re truck was built in 2015 than yes, some of the 2500s were built in 2014 and you have to use a RZY harness. Because the terminals will not be pinned.
I installed mine did all the wiring like you do except my pin 41 has a wire in it already and I do not have to mirrors lights so I’m asking do I unplug that pen and put my new one in it is there another option thank you
No pin41 is just turn signals, if you have a wire in pin 41 already just do everything exactly as I did in the video
Any ideas?
Did you ever figure out this problem?
What size shoes you got on. Tires rims offset? Brand?
I seen the link to the terminals last time I was on here and now do not see them. any chance you could send me that link?
Christopher Genesse yea I’ll try to update the description for the links
I read reviews on these mirrors do they shake like people are saying? What’s your opinion on them?
I haven’t had any shake in mine, I did see that on a review but I’ve build many many sets of this same brand of mirrors for people and no one has complained about shaking
I did the exact set up you did and everything works except the forward looking turn signals. I noticed when you did your ops check you never checked the turn signals. Is there extra wiring to do to have the forward turn signals to work?
Todd Marcus are you running lights working ? If they are working you simply splice into the hot on the turn signal on glass inside your mirror and when it receives signal from it, it will flash
Yes, the running lights are working. So two T splices and a wire. Figured it had to be simple enough. Thanks.
Todd Marcus yep
LL7 I tried this but it made the signal on glass stay on constant when I turn the running lights on. Also it gives me hyper flash since it’s led
Drew Bollinger odd, how do you have the running light wired to the signal on glass ?
Did everything in video. Only have blinker on in the glass. Wondering what could be wrong.. 2015 denali
I’ve got a 2014 Sierra 1500 with the exact same DL3 mirrors. Would this still work for the running lights mod to get them to work?
You’ll need an RZY harness to run under the hood to the fuse box for a 2014
Boss man I got the lt trim silverado 2016 and the tow mirrors I did order was pretty much the same but no blinkers and not power fold ...,is it the same procedure is it???
Yessir, all you have to do for blinkers is to pin #41 as well for turn signals
Thanks dude
Hello need help! I ran everything like you said. Drivers side works but different. Blinker is on running lights not mirror but I wired the same as passenger side mirror. Both wired same but working different. 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 hd
Sounds like you need to just swap a few wires on the driver side
I have a 2015 Silverado wt with no power mirrors just installed tow mirrors with turn signal and heat wondering how I get power
Did your tow mirrors keep the puddle lights? I like them a lot on my stock mirrors
Chandler Plante tow mirrors do not come with puddle lamps
@@5-9_Motorsports bummer. Do the side cargo lights illuminate the ground at night on walkup?
Chandler Plante yea they do
Do they shake at all when driving?
What is your tire and wheel package ??
I did everything exactly the same and even tripe checked and everything works except my turn signal lights on the new tow mirrors :( idk if it’s because my model is the SLE and it didn’t come with arrow turn signals on the original mirror so idk if that’s why they won’t work???
If your truck didn’t come with signal on glass you have to pin #41 also. It’s in the description to this video.
Would the heated mirrors part work even tho you didn’t have them on the stock mirrors? if so how do you get them to work?
I believe even if you don’t have that option in your mirror that it comes pre wired for “heated”
@@Cbass1776 would it be the back defroster button to make it work?
My mirrors didn’t come with wires ? How can I do it ?
Do they auto extend or manual?
