Note: The eagle-eyed will notice that LogR records this lap as 2:53.06. This was our first time using LogR and it was running off my phone signal instead of a proper GPS. According to video playback (4K 60FPS) some laps were quicker and some were slower than what LogR recorded. The previous lap, for example, was 2:52 on LogR but 2:53 on the footage. Braced for the blowback. 🙈
@@TrackAli I'm a huge fan of the GP3 and MINIs in general - that's one of the few reasons I subscribed to your channel. You're an amazing driver who knows how to exploit your cars on the track. Big ups to you, mate!
Very good driving. What do you have the camera mounted on? I have a Fk8 and was wondering how to mount the camera like this, on what? And why did you buy the car with the steering wheel on the wrong side?😂
Thank you. We live in the UK so the steering wheel is on the correct side for us. The camera is mounted to a custom plate I made to fit the passenger seat.
@@TrackAli I've read a lot of opinions about the R+ being ridiculously stiff. But it looks quite good and composed while attacking the curbs. FL5 impresses me more and more. Cheers!
@Track Ali I was in the blue fiesta yeh. Think it was Friday morning I was behind you and was really hoping for another session we could meet up but I think we only saw each other after that when one of us was on cool down laps. I was a bit slower but I wanted to learn from your lines 😁
@@Sparkplugsteve We'll be back at Spa with Circuit Days in October. If you're there again we could perhaps get a proper run with each other. Your little Fiesta looked great.👌
This particular set of tyres was brand new at the start of the day. By day's end the front two were at minimum legal tread depth whilst the rears still have plenty of life left. Being a standard road car with the factory alignment, the wear is still very much tapered but it's noticeably less tapered and more even than what we've come to expect from our other road cars on track. I'm guessing this will be down to a) the sheer width of the rubber and b) pretty decent geometry for a factory car.

Is it R+ or Individual mode with softer suspension setting? Nicley driven!
Thank you. R+ mode with VSA off.

@@TomaszS33 Spa Francorchamps is a F1 track. The road surface should be smooth as glass, where you should not see people bouncing up and down.
Quick this was. I was trying to stay with you in 1 session but just couldn't quite hang on to you😂
Thanks. Were you the ST that kept dusting me in a straight line? 😭😆

I was the green Lotus Elise, which also couldn't keep up. I was amazed by your speed :o Kudos !

The finish line is 125m earlier ;)
What condition are the tires in? they don't wear out too quickly with the weight of the car on this Front Wheels Drive?
