I liked Electro's blue design in TAMS2 since it made him more terrifying, but I also loved how they turned his lightning yellow like in the comics.
Hes blue and his lightning he uses to attack is yellow. They really made him one of the best. He can also fire lightning and use that bolt to traverse now which is an insane power.

1:20 The sudden breath signifying his revival along with the base drop of Electro’s theme and him immediately shooting a bolt of lightning at Peter was probably one of if not the best returning villain entrances I’ve ever seen.

But remember how he was defeated, Gwen and Spider-Man overloaded him with energy using the grid, killing him. Wouldn't the same thing happen if he tried to use the Power Stone?

I do like how this clip shows that Sandman can go EITHER way...hero or villain. remember in the comics he was on the Avengers roster for a minute there. (as usual the Avengers are TERRIBLE about doing due dilligence, so he was mismanaged and wound up going "evil" again. It was the only way Jamie Foxx would come back as electro. He apparently hated the "Amazing Spider-Man" design. So they allowed the changes.
