I worked at the Namibian international airport and almost all the foreigners would say “we enjoyed “
Namibia is safe , the roads are good and so are the people!!
Personally I have lived in Asia (India) that is when I realized my country is blessed because we have open places of thousands km without people and infrastructures.

Big up to the film-maker for this wonderful portrayal of my country. Indeed my country is beautiful 🤩 - even I had a culture shock when I first arrived 31 years ago after several decades in exile, having left as a young child. I fell in love with it then and I’m still in love with it now. To all of you who haven’t been here, please do visit, you are most welcome - as long as you leave it in the pristine condition you find it in, for future generations to enjoy! Karibu, Akwaaba, Bienvenu, Shalom.

We Africans are believers, long b4 Whites got here we already knew there is God. Religion has pulled us through the darkest of times in life. Those kids singing for tourists were singing a Christian song borrowed from South African Zulu saying: We will crush and defeat demons (in the Name of Jesus Christ). Amen.

Driving in the desert...all alone n quiet...its like being on another planet.
Then the heat and sand, u have to make them a part of you to survive.
Sleeping in the open desert, under the clear sky full of stars ....this is experiencing Namibia.

4x4 is nice if you're going to go off-road and don't want to get stuck in the sand. However, a small sedan is adequate since the main roads are good and there are camp spots along the way. If you dress down like a backpacker, you won't get harassed in the cities/shops. Animals don't attack unless you surprise them, and the dangerous ones (except snakes, hippos, and crocs) are confined to the game parks.

Our guide Victor and our driver James were from Kenya and they were experts on traveling in this beautiful desert country. Namibia and South Africa are two countries I would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Africa for the first time. Namibia has scenery, wild animals and excellent skydiving facilities. Loved my stay in Namibia. I would go back in a second if I had the chance.

    • @theolerou7490

Yes Roeleen indeed a place to remember. I've been there a couple of times and toured it from Karasburg in the south to Otavi in the north and also the west coast between Walvis bay and then north to the place where the Welwitschia plants can be seen. Visited Etosha nat park.
I had a friend working at Daan Viljoen near Windhoek and my late brother was stationed at Grootfontein. I must admit though it's a beautiful country.
An incident I'll never forget was when an elephant bull, walking at a fast pace, forcing us back in reverse gear for about 100 meters. To tell the truth I was really frightened and my friend, driving, later told me it was the scariest time of his life.
One feels so helpless being confronted by such a huge animal so close and in full control.
Enjoy Namibia everybody bc that place is a feast.
      Take care!!!!
      I'm in S. Africa
