When Mater was distracting Sterling, he said that he has wedding flaps, hinting that he's someday getting married to Holley Shiftwell. He still loves her unconditionally and she still loves him unconditionally.
Cars was one of my favorite series growing up, the theme of fast-paced action through racing was one that really caught my attention. Also, the character of McQueen with his cocky attitude and charming personality was something I adored. He might have heavily influenced my taste in characters, since I LOVE that exact kind of character: from the top of my head, Dante from Devil May Cry and my favorite character in media (brace for it), Sonic the Hedgehog stand out so much. I think my liking for this series of movies doesn't even just come from the movies themselves, but the VIDEOGAMES. I got the three first games for the PS2 and had just SO MUCH FUN with them. Cars isn't a trilogy, it's a hexology: Cars 1, The Videogame, Mater-National, Race-o-Rama, 2 and 3.
Watching the opening to Cars 2, I can't stop thinking about Caddicarus in his Pixar Games video where he says "CARS 2 BEGINS WITH LITERAL CAR GENOCIDE"
I love the Cars franchise. I really means a lot to me. It taught me to become a better person. It inspired me to become a racer, I learned a lot of racing and so much more. I will always remember this franchise for my childhood.

I personally really like Cars 1. The change of McQueen, I like basically every character (I found Matter also quite enjoyable in this), the music is awesome and overall I think it gets a little too much hate. (Also Doc Hudson is definitely one of my favourite mentors)

Imagine you're running and you just get arrested. Getting arrested for "gotta go fast." I get that you don't question the Cars lore.... but it's so funny to me that, in the Cars universe, you can get arrested for "gotta go fast." Like, that's so funny to me.
But in a universe where humans can run as fast as a car and could potentially kill someone if a collision were to happen, then I wouldn't be surprised if there's a law for not running too fast.

Radiator Spings was on the cusp of being a ghost town by the time McQueen arrived. With the influence of the townspeople, McQueen went on a personal journey about slowing down and appreciating the smaller places and people his lifestyle allowed him to previously overlook and look down upon. He then repays their kindness by helping put their town back on the map, and helped them keep their business and livelyhood. This movie is fucking beautiful not only visually but emotionally as well. Cars is a masterpiece and I will die on this hill. Does it have flaws? Yes. Undeniably so. But if you just look at the inspiration for this movie and why John Lasseter wanted to make it so badly, then you might have a new appreciation for this film. It deeply spoke to me as a kid and I still adore it as an adult ❤ It's one of Pixar's best!

as a nascar fan , the sport stopped becoming popular because all of its marketable faces retired and nascar/sponsors just stopped trying to market there new driver's. its still fun , but obviously every race isnt gonna be insane and crazy. If you guys want dark theories get into the Thomas the Tank Engine fandom. In fact read the Railway Series by Rev Awdry and it's sister books. I adore both the world and Cars and Thomas because both can have some rather dark connotations. Both raise questions. Cars raises the questions of automobiles living WITHOUT humans while Thomas raises the questions of automobiles living with humans. The concept of being SCRAPPED in Thomas is so prevalent it makes MY hair stand up when it's mentioned. These trains are aware they are alive and fear the thought of death.
Pretty much everyone hated Cars 2 but for me I think it's a very fun and underrated movie if anyone hates that movie that's fine we all have our own opinions God Bless.
NOW THO!!! The only good things of Cars 2 is THE RACING. There was cutted racing scenes of Tokyo and I just don't know why, they were epic. They looked good and FINISHED
Cars is so nostalgic for me. I remember when I would throw up in the middle of the night, I would take a shower, just standing under it then I would sleep in the lounge room because my sheets were all dirty now. I wouldn’t be able to sleep because I would keep throwing up so I would watch a movie very early in the morning so it would be dark out, the kitchen light shining from behind the corners. That movie I would watch was Cars. I don’t know why but as I got older I had an admiration for the movie and it’s themes, music and characters and the calm nature of most of it was just right for a nighttime movie, plus I could feel I was there durning the night scenes. And no matter what meme or other piece of media I watch, I will always think of the cool nighttime scene.
Acceleracers taught me the individual skills and to be a better driver, I apply them to racing games and what I've done actually makes me better on the Driving Arcade Machines which is where it helped make me a better driving, just have yet to apply it in a real vehicle.
If I have to rank all 3 of these movies, the order from worst to best would be; 3. Cars 2 I like Cars 2, but the sad truth is, it sucks hard. It’s both a racing and spy movie. But the core main character is the comic relief Mater. Think Planet Sheen, and the Patrick Star Show. The action is cool and fun, some of jokes land it perfect, and there are some iconic Pixar quotes. But the Story is awful, Little Backstory, and horrible in reality jokes. Now I do like it due to the funny stuff and mixing up the themes. But liking is not the same the quality of a film. 2. Cars 3 The true evolution of McQueen’s story. It puts him in an angry situation against Storm and Next Gen Racers, and after a huge crash, McQueen get cheered up to get back up to the top, only to decide to give his racing career to Cruise. Not only is the story great but also the jokes, and characters. I really like this movie because of it. Though Cars 1 does stuff better. 1. Cars A Story of a Rookie Ace Race Car ending up in a 3 way tie with 2 of his greatest Rivals. But gets lost on his way due a bet from Chick getting Mack Sleepy, and ends up in Radiator Springs. At first he try’s to escape but then finds out about of town and try’s everything. But then he’s found and taken to the tie breaker race. His new friends follow him there and help him win. But McQueen decides that the King should not end his career crashing and helps him, being last place. I loved watching as a baby, great jokes, moments, and characters.
I remember watching just the tractor tipping scene on repeat for most of my childhood and every time I would ask, “can we watch Cars?” My family would say, “You mean Tractors” to be funny. (Tractors and farming were my childhood thing)

After watching your analysis on Cars on the Road, and your commentary for Toy Story 4, I was expecting you to say almost nothing positive about Cars 2. But when I heard you say that you enjoyed it, I felt so glad to know I'm not alone in that regard, since I've always enjoyed it as well. There's one more thing I'd like to say. I find it funny how much FG was willing to criticize Axelrod for his actions, but didn't criticize hardly anything about the characters in Toy Story 4. the first Cars movie, no matter how hard I tried, has always had a special place in my heart. I loved it as a kid and honestly it still holds up now. it's my favorite of the Cars movies. I love the characters, I love the humor, I love the music, I love the story, it's just a solid movie Cars 2, while I agree is one of the absolute worst Pixar movies to have been pumped out, is a movie that I don't hate. I remember that when I was a kid and around the time the movie had come out, my family and I were visiting some church friends and I was friends with one of their kids. while the adults were adulting and probably talking about church things and the Bible, my friend and I were in their living room watching Cars 2. and I liked it. I don't have it in me to hate this movie. I can however acknowledge that it is a complete dumpsterfire. my baby brain doesn't care though. I'm just so easily entertained that there's countless just objectively bad movies I've seen that I enjoy and don't hate despite the criticisms Cars 3 is a movie I haven't seen and honestly don't plan on seeing myself anytime soon. it's not because I think it's a bad movie, I know it's one of the better movies. I have watched cars 1 and 2 hunderds of times as a child, never saw cars 3 though cuz my child like enjoyment had worn off, had i rewatched cars 1 when i was older i probably would have went to see cars 3, as a kid i only saw the cars movies for random fun, barely even noticing there was a story. My final verdict is that cars 1 and 3 are equal in rating, and cars 2 as an objective movie is a little worse, but do to its ironic entertainment value it still gets up there. In other words, you could say the 3 cars movie are like a 3 car tie with one of them sticking it's tongue out.
Fun Fact: the 4:3 version of cars 1 ironically shows more picture than the 16:9 widescreen version. After the widescreen was made, they went back in and added picture on the top and bottom thus making it 4:3.
One of my most cherished childhood memories is watching Cars 2 on the LEGO website, of all places, back in the summer of 2011. It is a film that fails at being a genuinely good movie in every regard, but I can't help but love how insane it is.
For me, Here's my thoughts on the Cars films. The first is easily my favorite. 9/10. The second is an underrated spy adventure. 7/10. The third was a wholesome finale. 8/10. One thing I like about these is Lightning McQueen himself and his relationship with Sally. It's really cute, and absolutely wholesome. Share if you agree with me, Trevor.

I like it too, it’s not the best Pixar movie, by a long shot not, but it’s also not the worst Pixar movie, Toy Story 4 is way worse than Cars 2.

If you guys want dark theories get into the Thomas the Tank Engine fandom. In fact read the Railway Series by Rev Awdry and it's sister books. I adore both the world and Cars and Thomas because both can have some rather dark connotations. Both raise questions. Cars raises the questions of automobiles living WITHOUT humans while Thomas raises the questions of automobiles living with humans. The concept of being SCRAPPED in Thomas is so prevalent it makes MY hair stand up when it's mentioned. These trains are aware they are alive and fear the thought of death.

Cars is so nostalgic for me. I remember when I would throw up in the middle of the night, I would take a shower, just standing under it then I would sleep in the lounge room because my sheets were all dirty now. I wouldn’t be able to sleep because I would keep throwing up so I would watch a movie very early in the morning so it would be dark out, the kitchen light shining from behind the corners. That movie I would watch was Cars. I don’t know why but as I got older I had an admiration for the movie and it’s themes, music and characters and the calm nature of most of it was just right for a nighttime movie, plus I could feel I was there durning the night scenes. And no matter what meme or other piece of media I watch, I will always think of the cool nighttime scene.

If I have to rank all 3 of these movies, the order from worst to best would be;
3. Cars 2
I like Cars 2, but the sad truth is, it sucks hard. It’s both a racing and spy movie. But the core main character is the comic relief Mater. Think Planet Sheen, and the Patrick Star Show. The action is cool and fun, some of jokes land it perfect, and there are some iconic Pixar quotes. But the Story is awful, Little Backstory, and horrible in reality jokes. Now I do like it due to the funny stuff and mixing up the themes. But liking is not the same the quality of a film.
2. Cars 3
The true evolution of McQueen’s story. It puts him in an angry situation against Storm and Next Gen Racers, and after a huge crash, McQueen get cheered up to get back up to the top, only to decide to give his racing career to Cruise. Not only is the story great but also the jokes, and characters. I really like this movie because of it. Though Cars 1 does stuff better.

A Story of a Rookie Ace Race Car ending up in a 3 way tie with 2 of his greatest Rivals. But gets lost on his way due a bet from Chick getting Mack Sleepy, and ends up in Radiator Springs. At first he try’s to escape but then finds out about of town and try’s everything. But then he’s found and taken to the tie breaker race. His new friends follow him there and help him win. But McQueen decides that the King should not end his career crashing and helps him, being last place. I loved watching as a baby, great jokes, moments, and characters.

After watching your analysis on Cars on the Road, and your commentary for Toy Story 4, I was expecting you to say almost nothing positive about Cars 2. But when I heard you say that you enjoyed it, I felt so glad to know I'm not alone in that regard, since I've always enjoyed it as well.
There's one more thing I'd like to say. I find it funny how much FG was willing to criticize Axelrod for his actions, but didn't criticize hardly anything about the characters in Toy Story 4. Well, aside from saying Forky didn't need to be in it at all.

the first Cars movie, no matter how hard I tried, has always had a special place in my heart. I loved it as a kid and honestly it still holds up now. it's my favorite of the Cars movies. I love the characters, I love the humor, I love the music, I love the story, it's just a solid movie
Cars 2, while I agree is one of the absolute worst Pixar movies to have been pumped out, is a movie that I don't hate. I remember that when I was a kid and around the time the movie had come out, my family and I were visiting some church friends and I was friends with one of their kids. while the adults were adulting and probably talking about church things and the Bible, my friend and I were in their living room watching Cars 2. and I liked it. I don't have it in me to hate this movie. I can however acknowledge that it is a complete dumpsterfire. my baby brain doesn't care though. I'm just so easily entertained that there's countless just objectively bad movies I've seen that I enjoy and don't hate despite the criticisms
Cars 3 is a movie I haven't seen and honestly don't plan on seeing myself anytime soon. it's not because I think it's a bad movie, I know it's one of the better movies. I just don't care enough to go out of my way to watch it 🤷♀️ I appreciate it for completing McQueen's personal story arc and I appreciate the life lessons that can be learned from it. I have watched cars 1 and 2 hunderds of times as a child, never saw cars 3 though cuz my child like enjoyment had worn off, had i rewatched cars 1 when i was older i probably would have went to see cars 3, as a kid i only saw the cars movies for random fun, barely even noticing there was a story.
My final verdict is that cars 1 and 3 are equal in rating, and cars 2 as an objective movie is a little worse, but do to its ironic entertainment value it still gets up there.
In other words, you could say the 3 cars movie are like a 3 car tie with one of them sticking it's tongue out.

Fun Fact: the 4:3 version of cars 1 ironically shows more picture than the 16:9 widescreen version. After the widescreen was made, they went back in and added picture on the top and bottom thus making it 4:3.
One of my most cherished childhood memories is watching Cars 2 on the LEGO website, of all places, back in the summer of 2011. It is a film that fails at being a genuinely good movie in every regard, but I can't help but love how insane it is.

For me, Here's my thoughts on the Cars films.
The first is easily my favorite. 9/10.
The second is an underrated spy adventure. 7/10.
The third was a wholesome finale. 8/10.
One thing I like about these is Lightning McQueen himself and his relationship with Sally.
