Hello Susan Jones, good afternoon! Happy New Year 2023 for you, even we're already in late of January. A long time ago I didn't know anything about you on TH-cam. In fact, this is my first comment I publish in any video of yours in this 2023 because I received one suggestion to watch it. In April 2021, I watched a few videos of yours and I liked them much. You have a nice voice and passion to speak. I listen to your videos because I'm learning English, your native language. I send you a hug 🤗 🙏 💐. Greetings from Sonora, México 🇲🇽.

Can you do a video about nonverbal kids and how to modify your techniques for grammar, reading and vocabulary? I LOVE all of your tips and techniques but I need to adjust them so they can work for a nonverbal child. Thanks

Do you have any tips on helping ADHD & autistic children to help understand phonetics; saying & sounding words, and learning new sounds. My son is 7, he struggles with certain words…sounding them out properly and blending certain letters. He is high functioning so he is smart and learns quickly.

I have a 7 year old autistic son too! He is nonverbal but maybe we can exchange some things that work for our little guys...

@@WYCDfoxxxyDragon I work as a speech language pathologist with students with disabilities including autism. I love love love to use a system called lively letters to teach letter sounds. There's a story line for all the letter sounds. During the pandemic I had to record myself using the cards. If you have a moment Google it and I still have those videos on TH-cam under phonemic awareness.

@@JustWonderingMg Thank you so much I will find the time to search them! I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to teach phonics correctly. It is so frustrating not knowing how much he knows and doesn't know because he is nonverbal... to have a plan to follow would be so helpful. He sees a speech pathologist and I have tried several differ ones over the last few years but they never seem to do much and he never progresses at all with any of them... Thank you for you reply I appreciate it.

i was a struggling reader i didnt learn until 2nd grade to read more than a handful of words (now this is when they didnt even attempt to teach kids reading until 1st grade preschool and kindergarten were just playing and a lil bit of abcs and numbers than). by the time i was in 6th grade i was reading on a high school level though once i really got the hang of reading i took off
