The pan has a balancing, it’s the last in the manual. You are supposed to tilt the handle to the side to balance it. All of the axis have specific balance tests so you aren’t turn the app on and off to check balance, straining the motors.

Hello. I really enjoyed watching this very detailed video. I appreciate that you show closeups of where to connect things. Most other videos do too much talking and it drives me away. Your video is very helpful. I was able to get the gimbal setup without looking at the manual. I have never used a gimbal on a DSLR camera before, so there is a learning curve for me.
One thing I missed in your video was how to check the gimbal battery level. I used the manual for that. No problem.
I just got the dji RC gimbal that was an Open Box product from Adorama. Everything was included, so I am happy with that. I saved $.
I am using a Canon 80D with a Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 lens for real estate photos. I hope to buy the Canon EOS RP meted to a Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 in the future. Pricy at $1700 US.
Have you tested the RC gimbal on the Canon 80D? I was hoping to make it the default camera for any video work. Im am not sure if I want to use a single camera and lens setup and switch back and forth.
Any suggestions on what software to use for video editing? And how to offload the videos from SD card to another device? I guess I'm asking about a simple workflow that works for you? Another learning curve as well.
    Thanks again. Suggestions?

Hi, thanks for the great video. I have a Sony A7S iii with a small Sony hot shoe mic, and after purchasing the Kondor Cage I realised the Mic cannot be in the hot shoe mount at the same time. There is an extension cable but only available for order in the US, and I haven't found a way of ordering it. I have one option which is to buy the larger XLR Sony Mic which I believe you have in this Video. My question is, how is that Mic powered? Is it powered directly from the FX3 included handle? or do you power it via a Cable as I cannot see one in your video. I am aware that the extension power cable comes with the XLR set, so I can of course move that new Mic to another location on the Rig, but I just wanted to know if it is powered by cable in your setup, or via the direct handle connection for the FX3? thanks for any help here !

    • @TreeTanksDev

Mantas Bijeikis The charging port uses the USB-C to USB cable. The charging port location is on the back of the gimbal which is covered by a rubber piece. Remove the rubber to reveal the charging port.
The usb-c port on the axis is for connect to your camera so that your camera can communicate with the gimbal to use the functions in the DJI Ronin app.

Thanks again for your replies! I saw your vid about the kit lens! I was able to balance that one ok lol. Strange! I am using the camera riser for the 18-105 (and also kit lens). Maybe I am just not following the correct balancing techniques! Hmm 🤔 lol

I just got my Ronin SC and theres no nut or screw to fix the baseplate to the camera ? Can someone tell me or show me how that screw looks ? Theres only a small plastic bag with one plastic grip thumb screw (for the lens support tag i guess) and 3 silver thumb screws which just wont fit into the baseplate gap !

One end of the baseplate is slightly larger to fit the screw

Why do 90% of the reviewers show how to attach with the riser plate. Not everyone will use the riser plate. Cant find any video where they are showing you how to mount the camera without the riser plate.

you are making the balancing process far more difficult than it needs to be - you balance each axis separately you don't hold the arm as you showed - each axis is locked in place by the axis lock removing the need to manually hold each arm as done with the ronin s
