Hey I've been wanting to ask something....I have a 10 foot reticulated python and I've been noticing lately that when he sheds he moves a bit crazy banging his body on the glass..he's already done that twice for 2 shedding cycles...does this means he still thinks he has stuck shed on him and is trying to get it off...I notice he only does this weird stuff like after he sheds...he moves very weird sometimes like his body goes crazy banging around in the glass...
It could just be irritating him. Retics can get a little pushy when something is lightly touching them and it is essentially tickling them. So that is a possibility
I just found your channel and I love it so far and I see you recommend the exoterra Terrasky UV and I'm really interested in it. I just got a Pancake Tortoise on Halloween and I'm running a Mega-Ray Mercury Vapor Bulb right now but I would really like to have a led where I wouldn't have to buy it nearly as often. I'm wondering about what percentage on the remote you would run if the led was 12-15 inches away? I appreciate your help.
So, we would not use it over any tortoise or lizard unless it was just meant to be extra light for the pen without heat. We only use mercury vapor for those type reptiles since it is far more efficient. We thank you for watching and following along with the channel. We are happy to help anytime. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@ReptileRangers I also use a heat projector for nighttime heating so i was going to use this LED UVB too. What do you think? I Would just run the heat projector 24 hours a day in the winter
Great information! Thank you
Thank you as well for following along with us

@@Glamorousreptilekev Yea I think that would be fine. I would just say be mindful of temps and amount of power your using.
