I'll tell you what's OP! Get everyone at the lodge wearing Neon dancer outfits. If your enemies walked in to the lodge and saw that whole crew wearing that stuff? By the time your guys turned and said "Hello there" the enemy would drop their guns and run and years later they'd still be waking up sceaming😂
😢,9yhju
Noone ever mentions it but you can join the Crimson Fleet without getting arrested. It's literally the second quest for the UC Vanguard.
I didn't mean to get arrested. I swear!
After i restarted, i got a 1 cred bounty. I spoke to a guard...willingly and boom, it started the quest lol. I already completed CF, had 600k when i went to unity
I didn't want to do the arrested thing because I want to join the baddies normally and was waiting for a different way. But joining the goody goody Vanguard feels kinda silly too?
Yea i didnt wana join the UC off rip but imma try your way without getting pinched lol
Ironically I stumbled into the Crimson Fleet after getting caught smuggling contraband I forgot I had from the crimson fleet. And yeah, I was sick of the SysDef guy giving me the 3rd degree about no casualties. The Neon mission where you sneak, I could not beat it without shooting up the place, there was one spot where it was clear my sneak skill was not high enough. Had to kill everyone and then SysDef wanted to arrest me. Screw them, I shot my way off the bridge of the vanguard and joined the crimson fleet.
In "The Well" on New Atlantis, there's a weapon and ammo shop. You can take every 7.77 mm ammo on the wall without stealing them. All the other ammo type are "Steal" and the 7.77mm is just "Take" (you can repeat every 24h (theres 600+ammo for free everytime). you can also take everything in the backstore, for free.
Edit: it seems every 7.77mm ammo box in every shops / houses are good and you can just take them without worrying about stealing them.
Nice one
LOL, I've robbed this guy blind. Poor guy. Definitely take that microgun, or, you know, both of them… anyone with pickpocketing should also rob every vendor for a nice bonus at the start.
How do you get to the well!! I cant find the entrance.
@@extcloudpalace when facing the train station look left and the elevator is therr
@@ImaSMACKHEAD982 Thank you! I was looking for a literal well near the fountains hahahaha
This is sub optimal on many levels. 1- make two outposts on Bessel IIIb. One for aluminum and one for iron. 2- make adaptive frame until you reach the level you want. 3- sell your infinite money. 4- start the game with whatever you needed. PS: Bessel IIIb hours are 57 uc h. Production is insane. THIS is how you start a game.
There is a spot you can get 4 resources on Bessel IIIb, I got Al, Fe, Ni and Co all in one outpost. It was pretty good, instead of making multiple outposts for 1 or 2 resources at a time.
From Remnant 2 to Starfield. You guys rock making these guides!
As you say there are a lot of good tips videos out there, but I am always on the lookout for yours. This one didn't disappoint again.
Another great video guys. I agree, we're being bombarded with "tips and tricks" videos. I personally am just playing the game, see where it goes
After the Groundpounder questline you can have a random encounter in space where the UC Marine you helped previously will thank you and give you a legendary pistol.
btw. you need to READ the data slate to get the mantis mission. you can easily loot it and have it sitting in inventory without getting the quest.
Amazing vid, thanks guys! Keep em coming.
There’s a melee weapon that you can find in the first planets you visit on the into the unknown mission, the stat on it makes you do more damage with each strike
Cant wait for the outpost guide
Thank you all for making these videos. Been using a bunch of your teams videos Since Remnant 2, Armor Core 6 and Starfield
Great options to consider… Thank you!
omg i love this channel ty codiak
Awesome video. So helpful
Love the guide! TY
I liked this video a lot. Hopefully, you guys did get that outpost video, I'm going to take a stroll through your videos now because I hate outpost building, so I'm looking forward to learning more about it!
YT is saturated with Starfield vids but this one had some really good info that I learned from. Nice vid!!
I’ve watched so many today alone that I feel like I’ve heard everything in this guide 😂 still found a few gems so it’s solid 🎉
It is not a hexagonal loot chest. The shape is a dodecahedron, made up of 12 pentagons.
was really helpful. 😊
Very helpful video!
u recommend doing mission board quests? Just from doing a few main story quests and some major side quests, and selling all the loot, i had almost 100k. (not including the resources)(At about 13hrs in) so i think what should be recommended is take a companion with u and use them as pack mule. and if u still need more space, find a crate and store some loot there. I found that most missions, u loop back to the airlock or start of the area. if its obvious u will be changing areas, then u can make a trip back to ur ship and off-load ur haul and continue the quest. really worth it especially for guns and armors. they can sell for as high a 1k early game, but even on the lower end, ur getting atleast 100-300 for most.
I would add a basic key map for new players as I haven't found one in the game. The rest of your stuff is gold😊
Looking forward to the outpost guide.
Secret Outpost was a great early mission! The combat was intense and highlighted the improved enemy AI and of course the Mantis armor and ship!
I kinda wish I didn't do it because after you get the ship most spacer pirates will run as soon as they see your ship. You miss out on a lot of experience, salvage, and kills to rank up in your command perk skill.
@@theunhappygamer1744 thats cool that they fly away
@@theunhappygamer1744 just use other ship when you want to kill some pirates
@@winter4069 well the mantis is a excellent early ship but the Star Eagle is probably the best class A by far in just about every way. Its worth doing the relatively short Ranger missions to pick it up.
@@theunhappygamer1744 that's true, plus it's the same rescue dialogue every time.
I found that the Bounty Hunter Suit you got by killing the guy at the entrance of Scow is very strong, with stats higher than the most refined and some advanced armors
Thanks for the vid you guys, i was definitely feeling a bit lost!
Happy to help!
The best in the biz keeps proving it every day. Great video guys!
Seriously kind words Broc, thank you!
Got the mantis quest from the very first encounter I had with spacers
I like that you say ,"small" Outpost and the video shows what looks like a mall being built.
Love this channels content
OMG the Revenant just freaking melts people!
for melee stealth style (which I personally think is the best) - in Neon you can steal an OP katana at level 1 which will last you the entire game.
Sell it in wolf and buy it back to remove the stolen status, there is literally no other weapon you will ever need.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for connecting the Ballistics skill to physical damage! I thought I needed to waste a bunch of skill points to get to Rifles to enhance my dmg with my Magshear. 😊
Great video thank you.
Glad you liked it!
I honestly need help with outposts. I want to make one but I don’t even know where to begin. Just subbed and will be waiting for the outpost video to come out
This is SUCH a good video, favoriting. I’ve seen tons of, so this and don’t do that videos. None of them helped me make a plan of order of things to do like this. Exactly what I wanted
Hey am enjoying your content on starfield, I been playing the hell out of it however Your tips have been very helpful.. Please give us a dedicated video on OUTPOSTS like a step by step so that us who wish to copy a fancy outpost could do so 😅.
A good early game tip IMO. Use the basement of the lodge. Infinite storage and every crafting station in the same room!
for some reason my game does not have the storage box in basement
@@earlheck1795that’s strange. It’s not on the table directly behind the research station?
@@earlheck1795 Have look behind the weapons station there should be three more boxes.
@@earlheck1795 it should be on the table behind the research station. It’s a very small box.
And there's also the safe in your room upstairs.
I got the Mantis quest way too early. The robots were killer. I was running back to a cot to take a nap between every fight
The mantis puzzle [8:57] can be skipped by destroying the turrets from cover. Destroy turrets, walk right through.
If you find a Grendel that has a short scope, silencer between 37-47 DMG pick it up! It's one of my favorites and sounds just like a paintball gun haha 😄 that and the lawgiver have to be my main weapons
Currently running The Crimson fleet faction quest but undercover for the sys defense system for the UC vanguard.. definitely one of the longer more interesting quest chain but will be worth it when i get the legendary revenant weapon
*I can’t wait to fuckin slaughter the Crimson Fleet with the Revenant*
@@brawler5760 just got it too! Bro it shreds 🤯
Yeah, I shot up SysDef. Arrested me for contraband I forgot I had after spending hours on a planet. Then was going to throw me in jail for shooting my way out of the sneaking mission in Neon city because I literally didn't have a high enough sneak level. Yeah, no. I had enough of SysDef and the UC Vigilence being a permanent fixture at the Key always brings a smile to my face.
Nice to see this and work through it when i get to new game plus 10 so i can keep everything and be overpowered😂
Playthrough 3 for me had a Legendary MagShear in a chest on the way to The Revenant that was better than. Couldn't believe my luck.
I triggered the mantis quest when i explored the wilds on the starting world and found a single terrormorph fighting a spacer.
The crimson fleet quest you talk about is that a separate quest from the UC quest where you pick a side? Like do I have to choose betraying the UC to get that quest? Sorry if it was said that and I missed it.
If you can’t get the mantis mission just do the kill missions in the mission board you’ll be killing spacers took me forever to figure this out
For perks I also advise getting piloting perk early and leveling it up every so often. Ranking this perk up allows you to fly B and C class ships. I bought an expensive ship without realizing I didn’t have the perk piloting leveled up enough to fly it.
The flying sequences are definitely one of my weakest points.
That Marksman AA99 is so OP 😮
Curious if you know, is the loot at the surplus vendor at the well random? Can you wait and it change to something different? Also I know if you set your game mode to very hard before checking them they tend to have better mods at least
If I go that Crimson Fleet route ... will I be able to change back later to also see the UC etc. story lines then? Or are you locked in forever? Thanks!
Quick question for anyone playing, can you store all your ships at your outpost? If yes, how do you get them all to your outpost?
This was a very good video good comment section to 😊
nice. one remark, noticed it in one of the previous videos as well: you say "leave the galaxy"; where you meant leave the solar/star system. sadly only one galaxy there and you cant leave it
OMG IM LEVEL 8 first time playing Starfield watched beginner vids then this vid and I already got elegance, and I already got secret outpost! And was wondering what mantis was!! Omg in hype af I got 3 days offf after today so pumped
An empty(ish) cargo hold and cargo missions are fast travel for free credits… tough to beat for a fast leg up
Missed one. Radburn is one of the best early 'damage over time' weapons in the game with 2 types of dot that can kill a terrormorph in 16 or less shots. Available as soon as you turn in the artifact. Start the vanguard quest and head to the meat plant on tau ceti. At the far end of the place it is in a weapon case in a storage container. Bring your jet pack.
You have recommendations for all weapons but NO melee?! I am a melee build on my first play though currently.
You mentioned rerolling gear to get good modifications but never said it would be good or bad. I realize builds make a difference, but teaching the community, which is incredible or meager, would help
will i still have a chance at the Revenant if i go the route of the undercover UC mission?
I just started the game and I’m confused, do I join the crimson fleet early on or do I wait and get arrested later and then join them?
Instead of taking the ship targeting skill, you can fit your ships with EM weapons to disable ships in order to board and steal.
Still need to hit the engines to disable the ship, though, which is what targeting does for you.
although technically you don't, you can just aim for their engines.
Does completing the crimson fleet mess things with with any companions or factions?
I had found the Peacekeeper before I went into NG+ and couldn't remember where I got it.
I completely overhauled the Prison Shuttle into a ship that resembles a Tardigrade. No Ragrets.
I have since built my favorite ship.. a Class C Beast with 30yr Jump & 100 mobility. That rips through everything
Vladd's Villa has several unique and OP weapons. You only need thr first level of lockpicking, and the villa itself is deserted. Once you're in the crinson fleet aftrr going undercover I'd make a beeline to Vlad's Villa.
You just earned a much needed Sub. Love your consistency, professionalism, and quality.
Great Dedication Bros 🎉 ✌🏻
👾🎯💪🏻❤️✌🏻🌞💪🏻🎮🎥🕹📀👾🔫👽🚀☄️😅💰😇😆🥳
The Advanced Urban Eagle should be included in this list. I don't remember the exact location, but is was laying on desk/table inside the first or 2nd lock door I ran into during my first mission (or 2nd) for Constellation. It's an amazing pistol over 100 physical damage.
ya it slaps
one shots most guys
Found it early in, using it still on this playthrough
Anti Personnel Assassins Advanced breach is super OP and is my preferred main driver weapon. Give it slugs with shotgun and ballastics skill and later game armor piercing it its a one hit kill weapon for most enemies in the game. I used it to make it through very hard modes bullet sponge enemy issue.
Really don't want to play GTA-Field, but the rest of the video was solid good.
Does weapons get out leveled? If I find a legendary/named weapon at level 1, will that weapon be useless compared to weapons I find at lvl 10 or 20??
For some reason even when I had skill points available I am unable to select target lock perk
Anyone know of a scope/weapon that highlights enemies? Many times I can't even see them!
I did not get captured and triggered the crimson fleet set up mission. Can't remember how but I think I just stumbled across the ship and boarded. That prison ship the game wouldn't let me edit so sold it.
"Leave the Galaxy and come back" to refresh the kiosk.... Easier said than done mate!! :P Great vid thanks.
What bothers me is that several content creators dont seem to know the difference between a galaxy and a star system, several have called star systems galaxies... it kinda makes me cringe, but other then that the quality of the vid sorta offset that.
So the floor puzzle in the mantis quest.. I saw the floor, wasn't sure what to do, and just walked right through it and nothing happened.. Lol what was supposed to happen?? I completed the quest with no issues. Lol
@Codiak how did you get The Buzzcut to have 20 damage? When I go to buy it, seems to be locked at 4 damage.
It's enhanced because of my skills/gear that's all
To anyone trying to get that crimson rifle in the vault control please be aware it is not a quick and easy thing to do. And it is deep in the quest story, I know he got a video that says op early but it’s not.
For me, it’s all about the game experiences rather than making your char op. Just play the game and use your brain.
This.... my last playtime, I went to Earth and saw how it was just one massive desert planet. Scanned it all (very short scans to do)...Then I went to the space simulator to rack up my ship kills to further rank up the ship skill.
All this is just op for the first maybe 15ish-20 levels. The second you hit a level 30 system the legendary armor and ship you get are useless.
Take all this with a grain of salt. It's better to focus on skills rather than "op" armor you can get from the hop.
Alot of people lack the brain part, me included.
Well friend, you've clicked on the wrong video
Then wtf are you here complaining about a video becoming OP…are you on drugs my guy, Lol.
Anyone else having trouble getting 11mm rounds for the rifle? I got the awesome rifle from groundpounder and it takes 11mm ammo and I cannot find any. I have to keep buying the little bit the armorer has. Any tips on this?
1 thing i havent seen anyone mention is if u have a resource planet linked to your main crafting planet how does the resource amount transfere work. By that i mean if u link 3 resources into 1 cargo link does the ship pick up the same amount of all 3 resources or how does the priority work. The main problem with this system is that u cant sort what solid box takes what resource so if u have lets say 3 solid boxes linked together importing Iron, Copper and Aluminum from your resource planet but u mostly end up only using 2 of the 3 resources then evventuelly all boxes are gonna be full with that 3rd resource and nothing can get imported. Is there a way to avoid this without having to use 1 cargo link for each seperate resource? And no building more boxes is not a solution thats just kicking the problem forward.
I just did the mission for the legendary Rifle and it never spooned there now I’m upset about this lol
How far into the main story do you have to be in order to follow this guide? I'm level 2 and just picked up a side mission on Jemison. I've not completed the "One Small Step" main mission. I can't fast travel nor plot a course to any of these missions. I completely dumped my inventory and have a full fuel tank.
Answered my own question. Yes, you have to at least complete the one small step mission (visit the lodge) in order to begin following this guide. That piece of information would have been helpful in making this guide.
Can someone tell me the name of the gun used at the 2:46-2:54 time stamp of the video.
Getting stealth and Concealment seems pretty easy to make your character pretty op.
Just gotta shoot kreet aliens from really far for sneak attacks for stealth and punch the trilobites for unarmed sneak to level concealment.
You can go for the health and Carry weight perks to easily unlock Concealment as the requirements to get tier 4 for those are simple enough.
Top it up with ballistic damage on the combat tree and you're pretty much unstoppable.
I just use the a7 sample shotgun from the entangled quest
I didn't know that gun shop in New Atlantis existed! That city is to big😅
Do you have to do a new game plus or can you enjoy the end game roaming around in the open world as a maxed out character
You can return to your ship instead of moving on
I want to say I was 30 hours into the game before I got the mantis quest
You should add the perk that lets you fly a bigger ship, or else there's not a big advantage to take the Targeting Control Systems perk.
The piloting perk does right?
@@peytonharris9294Yeah, ranks 3 and 4 allow you to fly Class B and C ships
What @brawler5760 said, I mean you can still board ships and kill people and steal money or other items, but I found out yesterday how sad it's that you can't fly the ships because you need the perk... @@peytonharris9294
All i do is survey planets, i dunno why just enjoy seeing blue turn green lol... 45 hours in and havent even done the first constellation quest lol
If your like me and have limited time to play you try to play smart, but when I start to play I tell my self no getting off task stay on main or faction missions , and sure enough I find my self spending hours on everything but that and it’s driving me nuts lol. Idk how anyone can just do main quests it’s too hard imo in a good way I mean.
You can also finish the game fast, get your reset, unlock new content from NG+ then use your second play through to 100 percent the game. You keep your skills level research etc
Can you add new skills points after NG+1 to max out stats?
@@jonathonE yes those things are all untouched including any magazines you pick up.
If you plan on New game Plus in you should do it as soon as possible and go as far as you want to go I'm presently on my way to new game plus 10 and then I will start building all my outposts and ships and stuff like that. I'd rather be super op and then start playing then start playing and then decide I want to get super op and lose everything
If you get the mantis some npc’s will be scared of you and flee lol
Question for any who can help. I'm having trouble with ship combat. When I have multiple enemies I kill 2 or 3 but then they destroy my reactor and exhaust shields. I'm sure I'm missing something... I have upgraded my ship as much as possible. Still with the starter ship so maybe I need to find a new one? If it helps, I'm in the Freestar Collective mission, First to Fight, First to Die, Destroy the merc patrol ships.
Loving your Starfield content. Thanks and keep it coming!
Go do the Mantis mission and get the Razorleaf!
I'm pretty sure you get a really good ship at the end of the freestar collective mission that will help in the space battles.
The only time I was dying was in space battles as well but once I got a new ship I've fared much better
Ship parts for reparing your ship helps, but they need to be in the cargohold of your ship to be useable
the stats on the peacekeeper is rolled ?
my peacekeeper stats suck
Cody! Halp! I'm really feeling overwhelmed and squirreling hard in the game. At what point should/can/could you feasibly start an outpost? With 8-24 outposts, is it really crucial to find a dream location for your first one? I got the activity to put down an outpost beacon at level 8, and still haven't done it because all you content creators on your umpteenth New Game+ keep saying to find HE3, Al, Fe in a temperate, breathable, planet blah blah... How many credits do you need to get something functionally started? Do I need to do the Crimson Fleet first for the bonus cash to be able to afford it?
While I appreciate that the game doesn't tutorial you to death, I'd like at least an introduction to the mechanic that's been thrown at me.
Instead of another Complete Comprehensive guide to outpost building, Can you make one that covers "This is what you want to have on your first day of school."
I'm sick of seeing "*Beginner's Guides* for ship building" that assume you have a maxed out outpost with the large landing pad.
One thing to add when buying weapons early game (or any time really) is to quicksave before talking to the vendors and re-rolling the weapons they sell. You can get some good mods if your willing to spend a few minutes reloading a few times.
I rather play the game. An extra better mod not gonna make much difference.
@mrsundaymorning unless it is carrying capacity lol.
@@thekingofkingsrp well there is a "carry more stuff" mod for that which I use to increase my capacity to 5k 😂
