  • This tutorial should provide as a decent introduction to gliding in pseudoregalia. Hopefully this helps beginners with introductory movement tech for speedrunning! Note that information in this video is based on personal observations and might not cover every aspect of the glide mechanic fully in depth. It is just meant to help people learn. If you have any extra information to share, or corrections on things I might have misspoke feel free to share in the comments! Also feel free to let me know what kinds of guides you would like to see in the future!

This one has been super confusing, I appreciate the clear tutorial. It was super frustrating not knowing why sometimes my bunny hops were great and mostly they just sucked

Do you know what the window is for this? Timing feels very precise

i tried gliding and slidehop for hours but for some reason i can't get the animation, it feels like it doesn't even receive the inputs of my keyboard (which is antighosting) and im limited to just few movements at a time. i tried checking my replay w a keystroke mod on but despite the key pressed being exactly those for the movement it still doesn't perform it

Bit late to the party, but the higher your fps are the harder it gets because each frame gets shorter. With 30 fps cap it's really easy.

holy shish, pressing two buttons on the exact same frame is so tricky, especially with triggers

experiment with steam rebinding! i know a lot of controller players use face buttons or bumpers for slide. that might help you get the timing. and remember nothing beats practice! muscle memory goes a long way!

@@paceproxy definitely helped a bit feel-wise to go for bumpers! it's a lot more consistent now
Is there any feedback on whether I mistimed the press by a frame late or early? just to adjust that muscle memory consciously

if you press them at the same time too early nothing will happen. if you press them at the same time too late, you'll just do a second normal slide.
if you get the correct timing but press jump slightly before slide, you'll do a second slide (like a slide chain)
if you get the correct timing but press slide slightly before jump, sybil will stand up. (like a normal slide cancel)
      hope this helps!

Could you explain to me how the backflip works? Its incredibly inconsistent for me

Think Mario 64 backflip, pretty much the exact same thing.
