Tumbling obsidian was fun!

- I picked up some obsidian while I was at Page's in Montague, MI, because it's one of my son's favorite stones. I was surprised at how easy it was to tumble given how rough it looked to start. See for yourself!

I just did a batch of Apache tears recently it was fun I also did a big piece of snowflake obsidian. It went well. Yours did too😊😊

I would say that is a success obsidian is one of the hardest materials to tumble with out chipping. I make discs with some of mine core drill the center and glue tigers eye in the center, I have a older gentleman that buys them for checker boards he makes. Sounds like your tumblers are hard at work.
I'd heard obsidian was hard to work with, so I wasn't expecting much. The results were as surprising as they were pleasing.
