    This is really cool! I think you just got me into Photoscanning again. I used to do it all the time with Meshroom, and recently Reality Capture. But this definitely looks like the future here. Thanks for the breakdown Arturo!

      I know the feeling! An Android version of Polycam is on the way, but in the meantime, tools like Reality Capture and Meshroom make it possible to convert your photos into 3D models, too. I'll be making videos on my workflows in those tools eventually.

    • @ArturoJReal
      @ArturoJReal  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what you mean between "this and Unreal", and as far as I know, the later iPhone and iPad series are the only ones using LiDAR at the moment, but you can accomplish the same with other phones if you use tools like RealityCapture, or Meshroom, or Polycam's Photo Mode!

    a nice overview. Small tech comment about the video. It seems your background music makes it a little hard to hear everything you're saying. Maybe in a future video you can lower the BG music and bring your volume up. Thanks for tut.

      On Polycam's Discord server the question comes up quite often: discord.gg/pfjUnnTD and Polycam's team has responded: "We have plans to create an Android version by the end of the year". I've also personally been in touch with the team at Polycam about it while working on this series and was told an Android app and/or web app is in the works.
