@@Fishriah_Ari 2017 to 2016 is like what 1997/98 was to 1996 💀 she was trying hard to do the same stuff she did in the better year (even wore the same outfits)

@@andrewgarfield9898 and yet she had the audacity to sustain Eb5s and making her voice tired instead of waiting until her nice tone returned to use that range 😭.
@@andrewgarfield9898 depends, honestly. When phrasing, yeah she sounded a little sloppy and heavy (not like that💀) but when she sustained notes like in vision of love, or basically did open vowel belts, she sounded really powerful and 'resonant'

*absolutely bizarre & needs to be studied, how Mariahs voice drastically changes EVERY-SINGLE-YEAR. its different in a way EVERY YEAR. shes the only one ive seen go thru this. she used to manage to always work w what she got and sound great, but sadly those days are nothing but the distant past..*
she never really had actual vocal training so when we look at it that way + all the high belting live & studio + all the whistles + everything that has happened in her life/career , its no surprise her voice continues to change and decline. its really so sad to see it as a fan
@@withyouonemogen *I personally dont think the whistle register has any negative impact on her voice, as I am able to sing in that register & I find its the least demanding on my vocals chords. I do agree however that the absence of vocal training/coaching is very detrimental. I personally feel its more so the LACK of belting, LACK of practicing, LACK of having those private moments to belt, let ur voice crack, 'sound ugly' to find her current range, etc & her mass amount of lipping that is the reason for her steady vocal decline. ----- if you notice, when she was singing live, her voice always got stronger as each show went on, which further proves my theory I feel. it IS very very very sad. its almost like she is just a 'trophy' singer now that stands on stage lipping all her hits and its not about her vocal ability anymore. theres no way Mariah can be okay w that.. if she is, she is a far cry from the woman we all fell in love with!
Too bad you didnt include Dallas CWT for the original ascending "sweeeet" run before the ODB breakdown. Was literally the closest to the studio arrangement she ever did for that part.
@@LambXDaydreams ooh okay definitely make one if you want! I'm not that well-versed in Shake It Off performances tbh so I wouldn't know where to start besides that one whistle in 2016
do you think there are enough live attempts for it? I'm not that familiar with shake it off attempts tbh. But it would be cool with the intro and the 2016 whistle! I guess I could always cut the climax out
There is a track but it's only there for a split second. Like it fades right at the end of the first line at "every night," and I think she's singing over it. In some of the performances you can actually hear the rest of the track echoing faintly in the background through the whole verse but I would consider it live with a backing track
I really loved what she did with the song in caution tour
same
2016’s confidence and belting ease with 2019’s tone and whistles would be such a lethal combo lol
imagine if 2016 sang songs like Dreamlover and Fantasy with 2019's live arrangements😍 so many attempts

i really wonder what goes on in her head when she decides to sing songs live for certain nights only like how she did in vegas
The ease the resonance the agility in her head voice. 2016 was her 3rd prime she could replicated daydream vocals with ease
The difference on her tone between 2019 and 2024 isnt that much as people say. But 2015 and 2019 is way more
2019 was bright and kinda deep. 2024 is dryer than Sahara and mostly throaty.
She doesn't even sing in 2024 anymore so there's no real parameter to compare.
That F5 from SSFT was so much better than what she did in Always Be My Baby or Heartbreaker.
Isn't that an E5?
