- Paul Stanley may be best known for his "Starchild" persona: rock and roll icon, face-painted superstar, co-founder and frontman for the legendary rock group Kiss.
But Stanley is as complex as the costumes and pyrotechnics you see on stage at one of his concerts. Stanley opens up to Giselle Fernandez about life as the Kiss frontman and says the reason the band works so well is they have always listened to what the fans want.

I rode my bike to buy my first Kiss album in 1975. Alive. I'm 63 now and still play it on the same turntable! Greatest Band of All Time.
Paul Stanley is always been my favorite and always will. My life has been better being a Kiss fan. Love this guy and love this band. Thanks Paul and Gene.
I agree with you ever since I have become a kiss fan my life has been a lot more better still you not happy as a person but Paul has been my go to person when I’m sad and angry tbh one video of Paul or photo just makes me realise why I’m still here today 😭❤

I was PS Captain when the KISS Cruise came to Key West.
I had hoped to have brief conversation with him but my mate, who had no clue who he was, dominated all opportunities by babbling on to Paul's wife.
She was fired soon after. 😂

KISS fan since Asylum was the newest album out and a little before Crazy Nights. I was born the same year as their first album came out so the 70's I remember but just the memories of a young kid. I remember the moment I first said KISS was my favorite band. My mom who was a big music lover, let me pick a cassette in the like $2.99 rack and I came across KISS LOVE GUN and those 1970's memory flashes of the band came in and I had no problems picking it. Got home, jumped on my bike with my walkman and took off to the park. I was really liking it and then the 4th track came on and it was Shock Me! I was hooked and have been every since. Even known in my town of almost 14,000 people as that big KISS fan. So many good songs they don't get enough credit for, the merchandising may be frowned upon by some but we don't care! It's really cool stuff to us! There's never been a band like KISS and there never will be again. And to those who hate on KISS, you should check because it's very likely if your favorite band or artist came out in the last 40 years or so they were probably influenced by and are fans of KISS. The list of artists who say KISS is the reason they play instruments or perform is pretty impressive!

Im sure he had worked up an appetite from being on stage so that sandwich and soup I'm sure tasted great!

I admire Paul because when Ace and Peter were out of their collective minds on substances and Gene flirted with acting in bad films Paul was the only one still recording and writing songs ,so really it's more his band and I salute his work ethic!
