it's pretty clear here: treat your fellow man with respect. PC culture isn't WRONG, per se, but it's dumb as shit to go as far as people are insisting nowadays.
That's what satire is. It's great in a way, because it can be interpreted however the viewer pleases. They could be making fun of PC culture, making fun of the people who complain about PC culture, who fucking knows. It's probably a bit of both. The one criticism of satire is that it doesn't actually change minds. Because people can see it however they wish and no definite point is being made, it can't do much more than make you laugh.
Well to be perfectly honest in my humble opinion of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's views and by trying to make it objectified and by considering each and everyone's opinions, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was about to say.

Simple. It's both. People using words should spend more time to know what they're saying. People who know what these words mean should sometimes dial back on how easily they get offended. People definitely call me too PC but I kinda love that this sketch makes fun of everyone on either side of this argument. B.t.w: the solution "were all the asshole" is kinda spot on. We all have biases and we all have stuff to learn. Keep an open mind and you'll become a better person for it.
PC language policing is just another way to say "I'm better than you". It's an endless competition in virtue signaling, so new reasons for something being offensive will always get invented.
Anti-PC policing is just a way of saying "I have an excuse for being too lazy to make minor adjustments to my language". It's an endless competition in virtue signalling, so new reasons for something being OK to do, regardless of who it hurts, will always get invented.
being PC puts people in a bubble but when it inevitably bursts the people get really hurt. so in a way most of the blame for hurting people goes to the PC people pretending its about not hurting people.
Some people do play the victim just to win arguments, but if you let that be a reason to disregard the fact that the words people use actually ARE offensive, then you're just as bad as them. It doesn't matter if some people call people out on being offensive for the wrong reasons. What matters is that someone was being offensive. Wrong reasons or not, it wouldn't be a problem if people just expanded their vocabulary and chose their words more carefully. If you don't say anything offensive in the first place, no one will a victim card to play.
I just don't understand WHY people WANT to be rude? Isn't it just generally nicer if we're somewhat considerate towards others? If someone says it's offensive (to clarify: not as a joke. Because someone will comment something stupid as usual), then why not just avoid saying it? It's not hard? Say sorry and move on! It's just not such a big deal, society change, adapt.
Friday L What is more rude to you, someone casually saying the word 'retarded' every now and again, or someone who goes out of their way to update an ever-growing list of damning words so that they can constantly interrupt people they disagree with, thereby taking the spotlight from them and leaving a fellow American without a voice?
Doa Gaming Casually using the word "retarded" IS very offensive, I don't mind eliminating a few words from my vocabulary if that means I'm not offending someone. Of course there's a limit for when something is offensive, some people take it to far. Say not being able to use the word "crazy" to descibe an event or action is just ridiculous. But I'd rather have that than half of the population being offended by the other half, (ya feel me?) that's just not... well, nice. Point is, there is a line, but we gotta listen to those who actually ARE offended by certain words/slurs.
Friday L Nobody wants to be rude, majority of people feel like they are being silenced by banning words they need to convey their emotion. What is more important is the context and meaning behind a person's statement rather than what the word really represents. It is kind of like Irony. Would you ban the use of Irony if it had something offensive, for example a Key and Peele skit about Slavery in the U.S., even if the message was against slavery?
No, no, no, don't use stimulants. That'll just increase the stress. You've got to go for the depressants, those'll suppress those stressful thoughts into nothing until you're completely blissful. Vodka: solution to everything.
As someone leaning more on the Anti-SJW side I find this video hilarious. In the end, it shows how petty some debates can become in a fashion that is eerily realistic.
This whole video I thought pc was for personal computer. It kind of fits because computers speed up communication and where people argue on the internet.
I honestly don’t like PC culture. Sure, it’s 100% ok to tell someone they offended you, and if someone does that then you SHOULD apologize. But nobody should walk on eggshells afraid they are gonna accidentally set someone off. Forget being PC. Be who you are. And if something you say offends someone, apologize for offending them and move on. Is that the wrong way to look at it?
That’s fine. I think a lot of people exaggerate this stuff. Sure if you’re on Twitter you’ll get hounded for stuff but in real life it’s not that serious. For example, everyone acts like trans people are constantly shrieking about pronouns but I’ve met trans people and not a single one acts like that if it’s an honest mistake

Thank you, thank you! First of all, I'd like to thank all the little people. I didn't step on 'em or anything. I just wanna thank 'em. For reasons.
I mean... does anyone really win on the internet?
Not Bill cipher?
Where did Emily go...?
she got knocked up
That's a new one, since when?
she graduated college
Chase Johnson
nope, pregnent
I keep hearing that she's pregnant, when did they confirm that?
Katies cocaine problem is sort of a running joke here and I’m starting to think it might be real
im concerned too
No transgender blacks in this video? Dislike!
No morbidly obese one-legged one eyed Half Slovenian Half Eskimo unwed lesbian vegan mother and PETA member who drinks kombucha mixed with PBR in the video? Infinite DISLIKES!!!!!!!!! :-D
+bohnstube well done
bovtroy "bovtroy": Much appreciated! :-D
Upset they didn't ask you?
+bohnstube *applause
Grant certainly is quite expressive and scary when he's angry, isn't he?
Good. Plz don't become like Buzzfeed
They constantly parody Buzzfeed videos to try to make them seem lame, and it's making Collegehumor seem more like Buzzfeed.
+Ken Zhang as long I still liking what they do, I don't care, humor it's not about being completely original.
David Escalante My point is, in trying to ridicule Buzzfeed, Collegehumor is turning into Buzzfeed. Some of their videos are still alright.
CH was doing "Buzzfeed" before Buzzfeed was born -_-
I'm dying you rly don't get it do u 😂
It's weird how they did a skit of how every one of my family conversations goes these days if it lasts longer than 10 minutes 😂😂😂
Im sorry for your family. We just can't choose who we are related to...
@@prof7304 Tell that to bullets.
college humor doesn't have a token black guy
Raphael
Not yet
The way the music shifts... it’s so perfect😂
I can't tell what stance they're taking
Both?
You're clearly dumb then
It's a comedy sketch. They aren't taking a stance.
We're trying to find the happy medium.
+CollegeHumor Which one of you runs comments. I always thought it was Trapp.
People definitely call me too PC but I kinda love that this sketch makes fun of everyone on either side of this argument.
B.t.w: the solution "were all the asshole" is kinda spot on. We all have biases and we all have stuff to learn. Keep an open mind and you'll become a better person for it.
comments like these are restoring my faith in humanity, thank you
PC language policing is just another way to say "I'm better than you".
+Jonathan Greco
Isn't it rampantly entitled to assume you have the authority to dictate the "minor adjustments" of someone else's language?
42billybob It's not one person's authority, it's something that you're supposed to do.
Why does Katie need to always be depressed and in a self-destructive downward spiral?
...
...
...
lol
We ask her this tenderly on a weekly basis.
This is one of the best inside jokes in CollegeHumor ever!
Because her friends/coworkers are [insert choice of non-PC insult here]
She's not "self-destructive." She's "self-medicating."
Katie, the college humour equivalent of mc ride
Damn it there's a bee in my feed
what..
OH!.. now i get it... i took me a bit.. b-but i got it..!
Not the bees!
your name offends me
Man, they turned Twitter into a sketch. Awesome!
I can't tell if this is mocking sjw's or the people who complain about them. is that bad?
Jeffrey Webb south park
It is doing both.
Its non biased and making fun of both parties.
Its mocking you
It mocks both
I just don't understand WHY people WANT to be rude? Isn't it just generally nicer if we're somewhat considerate towards others? If someone says it's offensive (to clarify: not as a joke. Because someone will comment something stupid as usual), then why not just avoid saying it? It's not hard? Say sorry and move on! It's just not such a big deal, society change, adapt.
I find the word "apple" offensive. Kindly stop using it in your daily speech.
Friday L
Nobody wants to be rude, majority of people feel like they are being silenced by banning words they need to convey their emotion.
What is more important is the context and meaning behind a person's statement rather than what the word really represents.
It is kind of like Irony. Would you ban the use of Irony if it had something offensive, for example a Key and Peele skit about Slavery in the U.S., even if the message was against slavery?
Lol true everybody wanna be pc until they can't say their favorite slur.
There are days that I just go back to this video... Today is one of those days.
I'm glad they're going somewhere with the Katie cocaine storyline.
Katie has the right idea
No, no, no, don't use stimulants. That'll just increase the stress. You've got to go for the depressants, those'll suppress those stressful thoughts into nothing until you're completely blissful.
Vodka: solution to everything.
or just use psychedelics
miller repin something with THC sounds a lot safer
Person A: "You are being PC."
Person B: "That's a microagression."
Checkmate.
6 years later and we’re having the same arguments
Anti-SJW people are having a hard time seeing that this making fun of them lol
As someone leaning more on the Anti-SJW side I find this video hilarious. In the end, it shows how petty some debates can become in a fashion that is eerily realistic.
Aaaand you can't tell they're just trying to be funny. Stop. Smile. Laugh.
Anti-SJW is the correct side of the issue, by the way.
They are making fun of both SJWs and anti-SJWs, as they should.
There are no sides, only asshats.
Come on the black board all seeing eye @ 2:26 was too obvious. you can do better ;)
Well, only 4 people have actually commented on it, including me and you, so maybe not.
African-American board
I say we just start calling black people "chalk people" and white people "dry erase people".
What about the white people born in Africa that come to America? They're also african american.
Holli Warren
The question is, what do you call the white boards that come from Africa?
“It’s just gay to call someone Oriental” lmaoaoaoaoao
“Now that this is affecting me, I think I’m with Grant.” Same thing with school shootings.
Underrated AF lmao.
But the chance of it happening to you is one in hundreds of millions
This whole video I thought pc was for personal computer. It kind of fits because computers speed up communication and where people argue on the internet.
hjhhjhhjhhjhhjh no that doesn’t make sense
I'm from the future, and this is getting more accurate. Amen and awomen
It's 2021. You have to say athem.
@@sadiemcc9363 im from 2030 and its just *a now.
Fucks sake y'all suck
Don't use PC for politically correct, Personal Computer is already using it
0:16 It’s *ennuying* how uptight you are
It's ənːʏjɪŋ
I love how Katie doing Cocaine is a running joke. It's hilarious!
"This is why I do this" *Holds up bag of coke* Me too friend, me too
People missing the satire here is killing me slowly here
In typical college student fashion, was quite confused when I read "Everything is Too Pledge Class These Days"
people who say "first ammendment rights", that right also applies to being mad at people. It doesnt make you not an asshole to say things
Maybe you refuse the admit the responsibility people call you out on.
“ now that this is affecting me I’m with grant”
This is so accurate, everyone believes in what they believe no matter how much it affects others until it negatively affects them.
