    Now that is a very nice toy!!! I know a man that makes high end wooden models. He engraves the grills for the vehicles, adds names, the license plates, and all sorts of enhancements to his models. They look so cool when he is done! Take care Tom!

    Now that's how you make a video!!! Totally cut to the chase and engaging. I just got mine yesterday and was able to make a nice candle lid after just a few trys with the settings.

    FYI - The F1 also works with Lightburn! Additionally it is possible to engrave on larger items. The plate at the bottom of the engraver comes out and you can place objects to engrave under the F1. Have had mine a few weeks and it’s a lot of fun.

      Yep! Lots of cool stuff I couldn't get to in the video. It does have some limitations but overall, it's pretty amazing.

    You answered all of my questions! Thank you for the honest and thorough review and explanation. But now I have another question. What thickness of wood (if any) can this machine cut well?

    Great video!! thank you very much!! and FYI... The "leatherette' patches (with the adhesive on the back) and designed to be place with either a heat press or there are videos on how to do it with a heat gun if you don't have a heat press. (Cole Minor Kustoms has one). Just didn't want you to eliminate that product thinking it didnt work :)

    Do you remember the soap setting? I cannot figure it out without burning the soap.

    Great video. I just ordered the F1. Where can i but the yellow attachment you used to direct air out of the window? Thanks in advance.

      Believe it or not, It's an unused silicone toilet gasket. I know the guy who invented it. I had it lying around and it happened to fit :-) www.homedepot.com/p/LEAKNO-Universal-Wax-Free-Toilet-Seal-LN001/311636315

    You said the F1 is not good at cutting thin wood as the cutting edge is not straight. What angle is the cut edge? Is is still possible to cut puzzles or objects that are put together out of numerous parts ?

    • @AlleyPicked
      @AlleyPicked  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That depends on how you are cutting them. If you are cutting separate pieces on the laser and then trying to fit them together, you will probably see a gap. If you are making a small puzzle that fits inside the F1 and cutting them all at once, then they will fit nicely since they are cut next to each other. Not sure if that makes sense. Just remember that it cuts on an angle. I'm not sure if the sliding flat bed would do a better job.

    I thought there were certain plastics and types of leather that you should not cut with a laser due to toxins, or is that just for C02 lasers?

    • @AlleyPicked

      I think that could apply to any laser that puts fumes into the air. This one does have an air purifier. How effective that is, I can only say that there are no noticeable fumes in the air.

    FYI, you put the cutting base in the wrong way - it says in the manual to put it in 90 deg from how you had it, presumably so it gives a direct line to the fan while cutting.

    Air purifier has to be turned on manually or is automatic when pressing the Start button in the F1?

    I have the F1 and I am struggling with knowing which laser to choose.

      In some cases both will work but give a different result. Sometimes you just have to experiment. Generally, the IR laser is best for plastic, aluminum, stainless, iron, gold, silver.
